After moving here temporarily (almost 3 years ago 🙄) this weekend we have finally put one of our wardrobes up in an attempt to get organised pre-baby.

Unfortunately, we forgot how huge they are and have no idea where the second one (or the chest of drawers!) are going to go...

ER1212 · 16/09/2018 18:55

Hi All,

Anyone else coupling the wonders of pregnancy with moving house? We sold ours in July and decided on a new build which was near completion. We're now waiting on solicitors (the solicitors for the new build are waiting on a deed from the land registry) other than that the chain is ready to go. Seems like the weeks are adding up and wed hoped to be moved by now, trying not to worry that it'll come close to baby due date (26th November)!

orangejuicer · 16/09/2018 18:59

Not moving but doing lots of substantial DIY - house is covered in dust Sad

Hope all goes well for your move!

BrewsD · 16/09/2018 19:57

Us too @ER1212 had our offer accepted a couple of weeks ago, also waiting on solicitors. Are you beginning to stress now too? 🙈

AnotherOriginalUsername · 16/09/2018 20:03

Is there anywhere that sells doughnuts at 8pm on a Sunday night in the middle of nowhere? 🤔

ER1212 · 16/09/2018 20:19

@BrewsD absolutely, trying not too stress though, we'll move when we move just hopefully it's soon. We've started packing most things as well, so 95% of the baby things are packed and it's getting to time of packing a hospital bag so I'll have to dig some of his clothes out!

Italianshark · 16/09/2018 21:04

@julzx that made me laugh! I had a dream I couldn't hold my babies head up without stabbing her cos my nails are long and pointy.... I then had them cut down with still 10 weeks to go 🤣🤣!

BrewsD · 16/09/2018 21:11

Atleast you sound organised @ER1212 we haven't even started packing! We've been so focused on working extra hours to replenish some savings. Have you been given any idea of a moving in date? I have a feeling we'll get the keys & baby will arrive all in the one week... it would be just our luck.

Melaniesunflower · 16/09/2018 21:47

We're trying to move..... the people buying our house put in an offer whilst working on a cruise ship, came back last weekend, and are trying to get the mortgage sorted ASAP. We've had an offer accepted on a house that is currently empty, and are just waiting on a date from our buyer as we need the sale money as a deposit....... all getting a little scary as probably won't get moving till October, with baby due 30th November......

Melaniesunflower · 16/09/2018 21:49

Not started packing properly, as the movers will only give us boxes once we confirm a date, but lots of our stuff from "decluttering " is still being stored in our cars, which means we're both carting our lives to and from work every day 😂

orangejuicer · 17/09/2018 01:09

Morning all, awake again, time for Brew

wimbler · 17/09/2018 10:45

We are moving too! Things are progressing slowly but surely but no tentative move date yet. Trying to remain calm and remember that at 26 weeks there is still plenty of time. Thankfully the new house doesn't need any work doing to it. First on the agenda as soon as we move in is sort out baby's room!

EL332 · 17/09/2018 16:27

Good luck to all those moving! 🙂

I've had a growth scan this morning and then was sent down to the day unit to see a consultant... I apparently have a large amount of fluid around the baby so I have had bloods done today to see whether there is a possible infection... after being told I wouldn't see my consultant again until 38 weeks they are now keen for me to see her soon and be monitored more regularly...

I'm so stressed out and I'm trying not to panic but all I can do is worry about what might be wrong 😔

The consultant said she wanted me to have another scan next week but then it was requested for 2 weeks time so I don't know whether that was an error or whether she changed her mind?

I've text my usual midwife to ask her to check and look into it for me...

I just feel like a big heavy ball of anxiety

Try not to stress @EL332, just sounds like you're being well looked after

shallen · 17/09/2018 19:57

@EL332
Hope you are doing ok, try not to worry, it could be nothing or something quite simple.

Italianshark · 17/09/2018 20:21

@EL332 when you say fluid do they mean the amniotic fluid? My sister had something called polyhydramnios which is what that is and her bump was enormous. They arranged a c section for 39 weeks and everything was fine. Just some settling reassurance incase it's that xx

GreenGooner · 18/09/2018 05:38

Hope your midwife contacts you with some reassurance @EL332 but in the meantime try not to worry. At this stage if they felt you were high risk, I'm guessing they'd have admitted you there and then Thanks xx

Italianshark · 18/09/2018 07:29

Stretch marks have hit... bastardo 😂🙈

So much for oily olive skin somewhat helping! Although they are sprouting out of my appendix scar 🤔

shallen · 18/09/2018 08:07

Insomnia has well and truly kicked in! F'ing marvellous! I go to sleep then wake up at about 1 for hours.
Not good as when I get over tired I get weird anxiety attacks through the night which really doesn't help.

Gotta love hormones!

Merrydoula · 18/09/2018 08:43

Hi, I'm due nov 28th. Does anyone know if it's routine to have scan at 35 weeks? They booked me in for one after my 20 week scan and wasn't sure if this was routine or not?

Third trimester joys - insomnia, peeing 2/3 times a night, stretch marks and basically wanting to eat everything - I'm 2 stone in already :s

GreenGooner · 18/09/2018 09:03

@Merrydoula I have one at 30 and 36 weeks. It may just be that they couldn't fit you in at 36 wks.
Insomnia is a big issue for me too. I'm actually off work today as I'm struggling to function. I don't think I'd be safe to drive at all. The downside to this is that I know that sitting/lying down all day will give me a back back. Can't win.

I am NOT finding any joy in pregnancy at the moment.

Italianshark · 18/09/2018 09:07

@Merrydoula I haven't been offered any Hmm. Whys that? TBH i had my 28 weeks bloods and they got lost and no one's asked me to do another lot. I may as well just lead myself into labour.

Merrydoula · 18/09/2018 09:44

@Italianshark Yes that is strange, maybe you could approach them and ask for a repeat?

Merrydoula · 18/09/2018 09:45

@GreenGooner Yes possibly, and I know how you feel about the back pain etc, even a trip to the shops and carrying a couple of bags back seems to pull all sorts in my lower back lol

HungryN · 18/09/2018 09:45

@EL332 I’m sorry you had such a stressful experience. As others have said, it sounds like you are being well looked after and if it were high risk they’d probably be acting much faster.

@Merrydoula it depends on the hospital you go to. I have a 36 week scan as my hospital offers them as routine but I know others don’t.

I went to a hypnobirthing class yesterday. It was the first session so it was mainly theory based but I am really looking forward to getting into the techniques next week.
