I'm currently holding the fort whilst my colleagues have a meeting to delegate out my responsibilities. I don't think they have any idea how lazy they've got over the last few years. Insurance query? Contact AnotherOriginalUsername. Health plan question? Contact AnotherOriginalUsername. Can't be arsed to mop the floor despite only having had two ten minute appointments between 3-7pm with the last of those being at 4:30pm Angry

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 13:46

Oops pressed send too soon, but 8 months pregnant AnotherOriginalUsername will mop the entire practice when you can't be bothered!

2 hours in and they're still in the meeting. That'll be no lunch break for me today then!!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 13:49

And another thing! (I shouldn't have started this!) - tomorrow there's 3 perfectly able bodied, non pregnant people at site 1 (which is pointless as there's only 2 work stations), whilst I get to work a 12 hour shift with all that entails (lifting, cleaning etc.) on my tod!

Ok I think I'm done

shallen · 23/10/2018 13:54

@AnotherOriginalUsername let it all out, I find it makes us less stabby!

But they are taking the piss! Tell them to get their fingers out their arses!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 14:11

Well in reality it's 12 hours one of them could have been doubled up with me to learn what I do (which is pretty in depth and time is running out!)

Kt2108 · 23/10/2018 14:32

I also have a loud breathed/snorer/noise maker next to me!!
So annoying

Also just been told for the second time in 2 days that I have 'the look/mask' anyone ever heard of it? I've just looked on my front camera and .. I actually look different 😂

shallen · 23/10/2018 16:30

@Kt2108 what's the mask? I thought I looked like shit this morning...... is that it?

Kt2108 · 23/10/2018 16:50

Well I googled and it's definitely a thing. Pregnancy mask/look. Where you look just 'different' god knows if it's just in the run up or means something. But I definitely look 'weird' today! X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 16:51

Is it the ski mask you wear when you bludgeon your significant other in the middle of the night?

(Mines just text to say he's going to the gym straight after work. Unheard of. I think he's lying low!)

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 17:23

34 week midwife appointment done. Slowly ticking off the appointments and counting down the weeks to eviction day! Next appointment on 2/11 is the anaesthetist 😱

Kt2108 · 23/10/2018 22:11

@AnotherOriginalUsername eeeek! Love the little hurdles getting closer

Officially just unpacked and organised all babies clothes, properly packed hospital bag! Was having a mild panic nothing was done and it could be any day now 😳

Stargirl90 · 24/10/2018 12:06

I'm trying to pack hospital bag but, i am still confused about what size baby clothes to pack. Baby is measuring on 50th centile as of growth scan last week, so should I take newborn size vest/sleep suits? Or maybe 3x newborn and 3x bigger?

Kt2108 · 24/10/2018 12:31

@Stargirl90 I did mine last night. And I've just took newborn. I don't have any tiny baby clothes and honestly looking at the size of newborn I can't imagine it being any bigger (I compared to 0-1). X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 24/10/2018 12:48

I'm taking predominantly newborn/up to 1 month and one 0-3 outfit (my husband and I are both over 6ft tall) and baby is currently above the 95th centile according to growth scan last week. Most full term babies will fit newborn for the first 2-4 weeks or so.

I'm on a mission this weekend to get the last bits I need to pack my bag and aim to have it done by Sunday night!

Kt2108 · 24/10/2018 14:31

@AnotherOriginalUsername I got some zip freezer bags for babies stuff! Dunno if you had come across the tip but works out really handy x

Stargirl90 · 24/10/2018 21:55

@kt I've heard about using zip bags to keep baby's outfits together etc, where did you get your bags from? Is it just normal freezer bags?

Kt2108 · 25/10/2018 03:55

@Stargirl90 I just got a pack of medium ones from Asda. They worked out a good size! Could fit for example 3x sleepsuits in one x

Italianshark · 25/10/2018 08:58

What kind of bag are you all taking to hospital? I was thinking a cabin bag on wheels? Or is that a bit much lol...

Kt2108 · 25/10/2018 10:10

@Italianshark that's exactly what I've got. Like a 'weekend case' and honestly it's the right size by the time you get everything in. Your clothes etc! X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 25/10/2018 10:22

We have about 10 different sized sports hold alls in a variety of shapes and colours. Will take one of those for me (cardios are happy for me to stay in 3 days rather than 5 now as long as all stays well). I've got one of these changing bags which is what I've packed baby's stuff in tgKKh3gIVjOd3Ch1qTQCtEAQYBiABEgLEZfD_BwE and will pop labour/husband stuff (I can hear it now, whiney cries of "I'm hungry!" whilst I'm in labour!) in a small rucksack type bag

HeresMeh · 25/10/2018 10:24

These are my bags I packed last night 🙊
Studded one for me and DP and the grey is for the baby 💙

Italianshark · 25/10/2018 10:25

Cool... had visions of looking like a twat rolling my case through the maternity ward like "I've Arrrivedddddd" with all my gear and no idea lol.

Its easier to have it all in one, on wheels, so OH can carry baby in one hand and pull our stuff in the other and I can just waddle behind, taking obligatory pics of them haha!

Kt2108 · 25/10/2018 11:15

Snacks wise I'm just taking a generic bag for life which can be folded as I'm guessing it will have all been ate/drank.
Another thing that people suggested was remember a bag for dirty clothes/towels too x

Italianshark · 25/10/2018 11:18

@HeresMeh Ugh... your glam little holdall is making me second guess my ugly black cabin bag lol.

OK ok ok... now I have a question!!

What snacks are people taking? I bought... Frosties bars, Peanut bars and Chocolate covered rice crackers... and they've all been eaten.

This weekend im going Aldi's (for a fluffy rug) but also to get said snacks, so if anyone can share what kind of thing they're packing, that would be grand! xx
