@dw23 @Liz3891 looks like it's the normal! I've not had any pain throughout the whole 37 weeks so far been lucky! So think I was a bit took back yesterday- also made me panic that I haven't finished my bag or sorted things out! Mission for today

Emma198 · 22/10/2018 10:23

I'm 35 weeks and been getting period pains. Midwife said it's because she's moved down in to my pelvis so it's everything stretching and moving to get ready.

shallen · 22/10/2018 10:53

I have been having period like pains too, especially early morning, hoping it means she is doing some good growing through the night (as she needs to). She isn't head down yet, still wedged in sideways so my pains are higher up!

Emma198 · 22/10/2018 11:18

@Shallen mine is bloody massive. 35 weeks and estimated to be about 6lbs already. Was looking through pics of babies born in our hospital last week (they go in the newspaper) and 3 of them were lighter than mine apparently is!

Italianshark · 22/10/2018 13:17

We've had our pram since September, in my mums spare room though. If anything I would only put it from there, to the boot of my car haha.

On the weight gain front, ive gained just over a stone and a half. Stopped weighing myself.

Had a very random bout of "loose stools" to put it politely last night, but potentially the worst I've ever had. With no connected sick feeling. Had it again this morning. Went home to walk my mums dog at lunch and couldn't because my back was hurting so much. Back at work now with like what feels like literally... a snapping back.

Hoping none of this is related to labour as we are currently dog sitting for my mum whos on a cruise somewhere in the med sea!!

Typically these things typically happen when they shouldn't though... typical!

Emma198 · 22/10/2018 13:24

Total TMI but I've been a bit constipated for months, like going every other day or every third day. When I do go, baby goes wild and kicks for ages 😂😂 like "oooh all this extra room!"

Italianshark · 22/10/2018 13:29

@Emma198 yeah well I had not a lot of movement yesterday and then after my "episode" I had loads and has carried on to today!

Emma198 · 22/10/2018 13:30

Must be like having an extension built!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/10/2018 13:50

I've reached the point of being unable to bend over and breathe simultaneously. This is problematic when you find yourself needing to extract grass from your tiny dog's bumhole as he runs around in a panic Hmm

hammeringinmyhead · 22/10/2018 13:59

I've just downed a massive glass of prune juice. Take from that what you will!

shallen · 22/10/2018 14:02

@Emma198 me too, she literally does a full on post poo dance!

@AnotherOriginalUsername that just made me laugh a lot!

rhuzzle89 · 22/10/2018 18:34

Argh I am just SO UNCOMFORTABLE - can’t get comfy no matter how I sit and lie, 34/40 tomorrow... this seems to have happened very suddenly lol

EL332 · 22/10/2018 18:42

@Emma198 I'm diet controlled now but haven't met with anyone from the diabetic team to look at what my blood sugars are doing - just had a 5 min appointment where I was told how to use the testing kit...

I've been trying to make really sensible choices from the info I've found online but I'm struggling to keep the sugars within the required levels ...

I'm hoping the dietician can give me some more ideas about how to maintain safe blood sugar levels... if not I think I'll end up being medicated.

Feeling huge and a bit fed up now - I just want him to arrive safely.

I've today finished packing both of our bags and as a result all the washing is done ... (everything newborn of his and I'll keep doing little bits so all the 0-3 stuff is ready to go too.)

I have some meals batch cooked but not much!

I'm all of a sudden uncomfortable today too. Baby has been very good at night since forever and generally once I've settled in bed, after a kick or two he seems to go to sleep as well. Until last night. Last night he spent hours doing what I can only imagine is headbutting my cervix. Today there's s definite pressure/heaviness in that area when I'm walking. It's most uncomfortable!

Italianshark · 23/10/2018 08:54

@rhuzzle89 that happened to me at 34 weeks it was annoying and it has been the same ever since.

GreenGooner · 23/10/2018 11:46

Urgh I'm really struggling with work now. Finish next Friday, my hips are really hurting, I can't sit for more than 5 minutes and I can't keep my eyes open 😴😴😴

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 11:52

From Facebook. Very true today. If I murder my husband in his sleep, can I claim diminished responsibility on the grounds of being heavily pregnant?

First Pregnancies with Nov/Dec due dates :) (thread no.3)
Kt2108 · 23/10/2018 12:13

@GreenGooner next Friday for me too- we can do this! I have a pile of stuff I need to arrange for my leaving and even that I can't be bothered to do!! Totally lost inspiration and wanting the next 3 weeks to be over and baby here..
Also finally started panicking /being excited 😳😳

Emma198 · 23/10/2018 12:16

Haha I woke up in such a bad mood and went for mine while we were still in bed.

Then I sulked for 5 minutes and admitted I'd woken up in a bad mood and he said 'i know' and gave me a cuddle. Bless him. He puts up with a lot.

GreenGooner · 23/10/2018 12:18

@Kt2108 oh I've completely given up on it 😂 I'm just trying to close everything down and get rid before I leave. It seems so far away still but by the end of this week, it should seem more real! How long are you having off?

Has anyone been diagnosed with PGP? I'm pretty sure it's crept in. Tried to self refer to physio but they're not getting back to me.

BrewsD · 23/10/2018 13:09

I just called down to he physio department of the hospital and explained I was suffering with back pain and PGP @GreenGooner. I saw a women's health nurse pretty much straight away. She gave me some information about exercises to relieve pain and also a back brace to wear at work. Just said to ask my midwife to refer me so we could get an "official appointment"

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 13:09

@Emma198 I love my husband dearly when he's awake, but when he's asleep I swear I could kill him. He snores, he talks, he fidgets, he makes the most ridiculous bloody noises and his latest one is to breathe on me Angry I've had bursitis in my hips since I was marathon training last year. Usually I'd sleep all over the place and that's fine. Now it's either left side or right side, with an almighty effort to turn over in between. If I stay on one side too long, I get a burning pain in my hip bursa. I wake up, he's facing away from me. I haul my gigantic self over onto my other side (now facing him), and what does he do? That's right, he immediately turns over and snores/breathes/sounds like a slowly deflating balloon, right in my face. It makes me very stabby 🔪

shallen · 23/10/2018 13:15

4....... frigging ....... weeks ......... left till I can finish work.
No parking at my office so I either pay a fortune for the public car park or walk a mile from where I can park for free. HR told me that they have decided that I can park in the directors car park in the 8th month of my pregnancy! Soooo generous bearing in mind I'll only be there for 1 eligible week!

The super generous wankers have also finally backed down to my endless weeks of nagging and are going to top up my statutory maternity from the standard 90%for 6 weeks to %100 for 6 weeks!

Safe to say I'm over it!

shallen · 23/10/2018 13:18

@AnotherOriginalUsername my husband breathes on/near me too, then get arsy when I kick him to sod off! Even though I'm so wedged in by pillows I can't move!
Then he gets the hump and goes in the spare room and I'm left feeling all smug and pleased with myself and move to the middle of the bed!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 23/10/2018 13:36

Mine sleeps soundly (although not soundlessly Angry through kicks and a good elbowing. I have been up since 4am.

Him: Why are you awake so early?
Me: because you won't shut up!
Him: oh, sorry
Him: snores like a tractor

Argh!
