I've put on roughly 40 pounds 😰 started off with low BMI of around 19.5 but have gained slightly more than I was meant to but it's mostly baby bump from what I can see, she's around 7 pound 2 estimated at 37 weeks from fundal height measurement. I'm only 5 feet and still skinny on top and boobs haven't grown that much so currently look like I'm just smuggling a massive beach ball under my top 🤰🏻.

Melaniesunflower · 21/10/2018 12:28

@ER2121 good luck with your move!

Melaniesunflower · 21/10/2018 12:29

Sorry @ER1212

Emma198 · 21/10/2018 13:02

There's too much brie and pate to be eaten to diet until at the very least February.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 13:53

@Emma198 I can't wait to obliterate the currently forbidden cheeses at Christmas!

Stargirl90 · 21/10/2018 14:41

Is anyone bringing pram home before baby? I want to, it's paid off and ready to collect, but everyone warns me 'noo it's bad luck' but how can it be? I want to bring it home and play with it Smile

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 15:01

@Stargirl90 ours has been sat in its box since we got it when I was 19 weeks and it was put together this weekend (told husband to take all the big cardboard to the dump and he took that to mean pram box too, then promptly tried to lose the instructions so felt it safer to put it together!)

hammeringinmyhead · 21/10/2018 15:05

Ours got assembled this week and is in the corner of the nursery. In no way was I willing to trek 50 miles round trip to the nearest Mothercare to collect after the birth!

ER1212 · 21/10/2018 16:14

Ours is in the spare room still boxed since I was pregnant last year (unfortunately lost that baby), we don't blame the pram though!

Emma198 · 21/10/2018 17:24

Mine is in my Mum's storage room waiting for her to bring it round when we come home Smile

Kt2108 · 21/10/2018 17:34

Opinions on sore back, period like pain, overly tight tummy and generally feeling unwell/boiling all of a sudden anyone? Just drove myself home and had to really pretend I wasn't in pain and looked GREY 😩

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 17:38

How far along are you @Kt2108?

Kt2108 · 21/10/2018 17:44

@AnotherOriginalUsername 37 on Tuesday x

Kt2108 · 21/10/2018 17:46

Potentially thinking start of Braxton Hicks as I don't think I've had them? But honestly not a clue🤷🏼‍♀️ currently chilling in the bath as I know whether it's anything or nothing that is helpful for whatever type pain x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 17:46

Back pain, period like pain and tightening could easily be early stage labour (and can take days) but I don't think you'd expect to feel unwell with it - I'd call your maternity triage just to be on the safe side

shallen · 21/10/2018 20:19

Picked pram up on Friday, didn't know anything about the supposed bad luck, but been in maternity unit for hours again today for reduced movements (2nd time in a week). Now I'm blaming the pram!

@Kt2108 I'd ring maternity, best be on the safe side. Hope you are ok x

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 20:20

@shallen everything ok?

@Kt2108 you still in the bath?

orangejuicer · 21/10/2018 20:21

Do call and check @kt2108 but I've had some back pain with what I am fairly certain are BH. Had a bit of mild cramping the other day too but nothing significant so just deoends how severe you're finding them.

Hope you're ok!

artio0 · 21/10/2018 20:26

@Kt2108 I'm still feeling quite similar at 38+1 but it started at about 37 weeks as well. Suddenly I had period like pains a few times a day, first braxton hicks, feeling nauseous, and there were two days where I felt really hot and sweaty all day while everyone around me was cold. Nothing more happened though, I assume it's just the body preparing for labour.

shallen · 21/10/2018 20:33

@AnotherOriginalUsername yeah think so, thanks.
they hooked me up for nearly 2 hours and plenty movements when I was there (typical)
and movement since.
They debated bringing my 2nd growth scan forward to next week but decided not to in the end, so still waiting till 31st to have scans with consultant.
Probably just being really paranoid, but it's hard not to be, I'm just feeling really down about it all at the moment, think I'm just over tired and fed up.

Kt2108 · 21/10/2018 20:36

@AnotherOriginalUsername was in there a while but been out since about 7. Got a few tightenings but seems to have eased off a bit
Mat triage just say keep an eye on things
I did get my flu jab today and just put 2&2 together so the unwell nausea and clamminess could be from that!

All okay just edging on the side of caution- was overly chill about everything until today 😩 x

Kt2108 · 21/10/2018 20:37

@artio0 this makes me feel better! I just was scared as haven't had any Braxton Hicks yet plus other symptoms. First time it's felt real!! X

AnotherOriginalUsername · 21/10/2018 20:41

@shallen always better to get checked out. It's difficult to know what's normal and what's not when it's the first time!

dw23 · 21/10/2018 23:45

@Kt2108 I had exactly the same symptoms at 36 - 37 weeks! I had loose stools at one stage too and thought for sure I was in slow labour but everything seems to have calmed down now today 😓 the only thing that's helped the Braxton Hicks pain for me is drinking an absolute reservoir of water and lying down as much as possible.

Liz3891 · 22/10/2018 08:39

I'm 37 weeks (just) and have been having mild period like cramps and some extra tightenings lately too. I assume it's all normal in the weeks up to labour.
