The plan has always been an induction no later than 38 weeks but because of my heart as opposed to anything else. I have a very complicated birth plan but before I even conceived they said 38 weeks max.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 26/09/2018 20:52

I do wonder how far they'll let me go if he genuinely is this big though!

shallen · 26/09/2018 21:01

@AnotherOriginalUsername ah right, that makes sense.

My mates baby was on track to be 12lb, had she had him naturally she would have been induced at 36 weeks, she ended up having him at 37 weeks by c section as he was her 2nd c section.

Told my husband that maybe that will happen to us, he seemed pleased till I pointed out 36 weeks is only 7 weeks away, wish I took a picture of his face! Pure panic!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 26/09/2018 21:08

Haha bless him! It is quite nice to know that it's all going to be planned and prepared in advance!

Italianshark · 26/09/2018 21:18

@shallen at 28 weeks I was measuring at 31 weeks. Now at 31 weeks I'm measuring 32. It's the most inaccurate measurement possible I would just ignore it. They induced my friend cos her bump hadn't grown and thought he was 'stuck' at 6lb and he was 8.8! I'm trying to ignore it 😳

AnotherOriginalUsername · 26/09/2018 21:29

Fundal height measurements are notoriously inaccurate. I'm very much hoping growth scans are too 😂

shallen · 26/09/2018 21:34

@Italianshark ha! Ok good to know how inaccurate they are, makes you wonder why they still use them! Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens at my next appointment.

Emma198 · 26/09/2018 22:08

My fundal height was nonsense too. Bump was measured and hadn't grown in a fortnight, had gone from 70th centile to 10th. Had a growth scan and baby is just under 90th centile, on track to be 9lbs. X

BrewsD · 27/09/2018 16:36

31 week midwife app and growth scan today. Baby weighs 3lbs 13ozs & on the 50th percentile. So happy when I can now tell people he's measuring just fine when they comment on how small my bump is!

ER1212 · 28/09/2018 06:33

I also had my 31 week appointment yesterday, no growth scan. Measured 31 after measuring 30 at 28wk but it was a different midwife so think that's probably why. Have a scan next week to check on placental site as it was low at my 20wk scan.
Had a terrible week though, was meant to be moving house next week and our buyer has pulled out, 3 days before exchange which would have been tomorrow. We've got 2 weeks to find a new buyer otherwise we lose our onward purchase. Just what you want at 7 months pregnant!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 28/09/2018 06:57

Just woke up from a dream where I lost the baby! As in....got up in the night to change him, put him somewhere and then couldn't find him! Woke up before I did find him too 😵

EL332 · 28/09/2018 14:09

@AnotherOriginalUsername I've had dreams like that so many times! People come round to see us and I just can't remember where I left him!

I'm sooo happy it's Friday!

I've been so so tired this week and am really starting to struggle at work...

I've got another growth scan Monday followed by a scan review with one of the consultants later on that morning so hopefully we will have a clearer idea of what's going on then...

I can't wait for a long sleep tonight! 🤞🏼

Help! Hot night in planned with OH but suddenly I feel like I've been whacked in the crotch with Thor's hammer. Just aches something chronic. Has ANYONE had this? Im praying it's gonna go 😩😩

AnotherOriginalUsername · 28/09/2018 20:23

Can't help you there @Italianshark, haven't let husband anywhere near me since conception 😂

Italianshark · 28/09/2018 20:27

@AnotherOriginalUsername we haven't got round to it because of this pain. Can't even stand up or move kindaaaaa dunno what to do 🤷🏻‍♀️! lol

Italianshark · 28/09/2018 21:20

Turns out it's because her heads engaged and it's pressure pushing on my nerves! Was only on one side but I'm not joking I was virtually paralysed for 2 hours! Had to get carried to the loo.

Absolute dramatic moment lol 🙈 OH now shitting himself for labour

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/09/2018 09:34

Haha @Italianshark I think all blokes shit themselves about labour, it's just a case of whether or not they show it! My husband's family are already taking bets - the odds of him crying and the odds of him fainting are currently pretty even 😂

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/09/2018 09:35

I really need to stop buying baby clothes now.... In other news, the Asda baby event has some very good bargains! I picked up an in-ear thermometer for £18 instead of £36 and they had multipacks of sleep suits (7 I think) and vests (10 packs) for £9.50 each

Emma198 · 29/09/2018 13:54

We're the opposite here. Husband is weirded out by the thought of having sex when the baby is "you know, right there, right next to my thing" and it's causing arguments. Haha.

I have far far too many baby clothes! Hadn't considered vests so bought some the other day. Hospital bags packed with exception of snacks because they wouldn't make it til the end!

In the last 2 weeks I've had a friend have her baby at 31+4 and one whose waters broke at 30 weeks and baby born at 30+3 so I'm fair shitting myself. I'm 32 on Monday.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/09/2018 16:02

Ooh that's organised @Emma198 but I guess I should probably think about it at least (you know, actually find a bag...). I think we have most stuff we need

artio0 · 29/09/2018 16:54

Hi all! New in the thread.. I'm 35 weeks today and starting to freak out about... EVERYTHING Confused...

How are you all so organised? I'm just kind of drip-buying my essentials so there's still lots missing. For baby I've got two baby grows and 4 vests so far, not much else. And for me a hospital bag with nothing but maternity pads in it ha ha.

However your bedroom stories have me giggling... We've had some action since I'm pregnant but (obviously?) a lot less than before. That bump is just everywhere and especially with baby moving during foreplay I don't really know how to feel sexy while thinking of a baby?!?... SO distracting!

hammeringinmyhead · 29/09/2018 18:49

I haven't packed yet (34 weeks) - I do have maternity pads though.

Does anyone else who was already introverted feel even more so the further they get along? Friends keep suggesting meeting up before the baby arrives and I always agree but honestly just want to be at home with DH for every moment that I can. I've been out all day and the thought of only having tonight and tomorrow "off" before I have to go to work and start training my replacement makes me want to cry!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 29/09/2018 19:23

@hammeringinmyhead I still don't feel any different! I've been busy today and my back is a bit achy but other than that I frequently forget I'm even pregnant

Emma198 · 29/09/2018 19:53

I had a friend go at 35 weeks last month too, too many going early all around me not to pack my bag!

shallen · 29/09/2018 20:19

@hammeringinmyhead I wasn't particularly introverted but have turned into a right hermit and love it.

No hospital bag packed, nor do I even have the Contents, feel like I should get organised. If she comes early we are stuffed!
