My husband did the same recently at about 2am. Tried to put his leg up on my pillow in his sleep but mine was already there (I was awake 🙄) and in the process of trying to do so a few times, "kicked" me...

Then woke up complaining I was kicking him to stop him snoring and therefore he'd just go in the spare room.

I didn't tell him what actually happened until the morning 😉

Is anyone else rapidly losing patience with working?

Alanares89 · 24/09/2018 13:39

I’m 32+1 and I went on mat leave 2 weeks ago, I haven’t had a easy pregnancy due to a lot off sickness, Work were great with me, however working full time as a pregnant person did not agree with me and I couldn’t
give my full attention at work so I went on mat leave earlier! Put all holidays in so mat leave won’t actually start until October right enough, but I don’t regret it! X

hammeringinmyhead · 24/09/2018 14:03

Yes. Literally on countdown - 3 weeks on Friday. I love my job but there's little point starting anything in-depth.

shallen · 24/09/2018 14:43

God I lost patience with work weeks ago, hormones have really affected my patience and temper so have been prone to losing my shit at work quite a lot, about the tiniest things. It has been really busy, so I told my boss I couldn't work at the pace that I had been anymore so I have been taken off the day to day stuff and put on special projects which is a bit better.

Counting the days now, 42 working days left!!!

Stargirl90 · 24/09/2018 17:08

I'm finding work hard now, I'm 30+3, I have just over 4 weeks to go until I start annual leave before maternity. Can't wait, my job is fairly active/physical and don't get much chance to sit down :(

julzx · 24/09/2018 17:21

im the same the count down is on 3 weeks on friday i finish up have some holidays so mat leave dosnt kick in to early november 🤤 Had a severe case of baby brain this morning couldnt remember if i started at 7am or 9am was on route when i had this thought pulled in to see if my work emails would give a clue.. no luck there had to call one if the other woman i worked with 😂😂 turns out i was 7am i was a bit gutted id made contingency plans to have a mcds breakfast and go back home and put my feet up for a bit.. brain didnt actually engage till about 11am 😂😂 first time ive had so much confusion genuinly couldnt string my thoughts together

AnotherOriginalUsername · 24/09/2018 18:11

I'm fine with work but I'm finding my main colleague increasingly difficult to work with (although I have just discovered I'm not alone in that thought!)

shallen · 24/09/2018 18:56

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is good?

Couple of things I have discovered recently that seem quite good and worth sharing:

I was getting overly paranoid about kicks etc and would get to the end of the day not sure how much she had kicked. so I downloaded the kicks count app, every time you feel a bout of movement tap the app and it keeps track of the number of kicks, time of day of the kicks and allows you to compare day by day up to 2 weeks worth.
I have an office job so it's fairly easy to track as I have my phone in front of me, so seems to be really helping me.

The other thing I have just downloaded is the positive birth company digital pack for hypnobirthing. I have only just started watching the videos, so can't give full review but I quite like what I hear so far. It's only £35 so if it just helps a bit I think it's worth it.

BrewsD · 25/09/2018 16:16

Is everyone planning on getting the flu jab? Just had mine offered, have booked in to get it and will be 34weeks by that time.

shallen · 25/09/2018 17:10

I have mine on Saturday at 8am. Joy!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 25/09/2018 18:08

Think my midwife is doing mine at my appointment next week. I have one every year anyway

Melaniesunflower · 25/09/2018 19:21

I'm getting my flu jab at work next week (work in a hospital).i get it every year, and never had a problem with it.

30+ 4 today, and only 6 weeks to work, including this one, but only 2 will be full 5 days 😁

AnotherOriginalUsername · 25/09/2018 19:46

I've broken the news to my manager that I have 2 1/2 weeks holiday remaining so I think I only have about 3 1/2 weeks left to work. Just got to sit down with her and finalise a finish date

BrewsD · 26/09/2018 11:26

Very fed up with work. Put holiday through months ago for 3 days off whilst my grandmother visits from Ireland and guess what it's "gone missing off the system" therefore not approved. Get me on mat leave now!!!

Italianshark · 26/09/2018 11:30

I have 22 working days left. Most of that will be spent training my temp. GREAT!

Has anyone been experiencing Braxton Hicks yet? I dont think I've had it once yet. I get trapped wind which kills until I can let out a little Parrrrrp but nothing on the BH path yet...

shallen · 26/09/2018 12:07

@Italianshark I think I have, I had really strong pains across my back and hips and round my side to my bump, I was worried she was coming early and googling symptoms!! I put it down to a ligament thing as it was at about 26 weeks but apparently you can get it that early and it is what it feels like.

I had it twice, once when walking to work and I kept having to sit down and once later the same week.

dw23 · 26/09/2018 13:30

I get Braxton Hicks all the time and have been having them for a good while, since my second trimester I think, my stomach muscles all go extremely hard for about a minute or so, it's quite disconcerting but it doesn't hurt. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and my baby has definitely moved down significantly, I'm getting lots of lower back pain and kicks really low down and pressure, I don't think I'm going to make it to term... got a funny feeling but have my baby shower next weekend an hour and a hour away, eek.

Italianshark · 26/09/2018 13:43

I get a really hard belly but it lasts much longer than 30 seconds and I have been putting it down to her position. I don't think I've experienced it yet, it seems it would be something I wouldn't confuse with something else. I'm nearly 32 weeks.

@dw23 my babies been low for about 2 weeks now, feels like she's going to drop out whenever I stand up. Hopefully, you make it a few more weeks x

shallen · 26/09/2018 16:42

Just had my 28 week MW appointment (at 28+6) and I'm measuring big. According to my paper chart I'm on for an 11lb plus baby!!!!!! Oh Shit!

No sign of diabetes in my wee so she doesn't think it's that, I may just be having a massive baby! Have to go back in 2 weeks and if bump is still big go for a growth scan....... please god let the chart be wrong! Bricking myself now!

ER1212 · 26/09/2018 19:50

@shallen my paper charts been measuring over last two times I've been in too (25 & 28 weeks) but she said it doesn't always mean a big baby, can just be how you carry your baby and how they measure, it's just an estimation. As long as its on an upwards curve, my midwife doesn't seem concerned! Got my 31week measure tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!

shallen · 26/09/2018 19:58

She said something similar to me, said when she was feeling my belly that baby didn't feel overly big from what she could tell, but still made quite a big point about it and debated for ages whether she should send me for a growth scan after this session.

To be honest I'd be quite happy to have a growth scan get to see her again! So long as it says she isn't actually on course to be 11lb!

Having said that, I'm 6ft tall so I doubt I'm going to have a tiddly baby.

Let me know how your appointment goes tomorrow, fingers crossed.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 26/09/2018 20:25

@shallen I feel your pain! We're on track for 11-12lbs if I was going to 40 weeks (thankfully I'm not!)

First Pregnancies with Nov/Dec due dates :) (thread no.3)
AnotherOriginalUsername · 26/09/2018 20:27

I too am over 6ft though and even at a healthy BMI, the fittest I've ever been and just about to join the police force, I was still a size 18 - I'm very broad! Husband is even bigger and broader

shallen · 26/09/2018 20:39

@AnotherOriginalUsername are you not going to 40 weeks because baby is big? Hoping that becomes an option for me if she is gonna be massive, do not fancy squeezing an 11-12 pounder out!!
