I'm 10-11DPO and just had BFP on a digital. I know it's incredibly early but looking at a due date March 3rd 2019!

I'm on holiday abroad as well I'll keep an eye on it. I am worried as I had a miscarriage in March, I've got an early scan booked for Friday so fingers crossed. I'm sure i had something similar in my previous pregnancies but I doesn't stop you worrying,

angel0071987 · 14/07/2018 11:36

@Sophlou brown is supposedly good as it's old blood. Try and relax and ignore it. Worrying uneccesarily will only make things worse.
I know with my two m/c it was only ever red that came out not brown. So fingers crossed all is ok for you.

Sophlou · 14/07/2018 12:13

Thanks @angel0071987 this is what I keep trying to tell myself.

MrsLCW · 14/07/2018 12:24

@Sophlou I had the exact same yesterday!! I saw the mw for my booking in appt, and she wasn't remotely phased even with my previous miscarriages. Fingers crossed for us both, enjoy your hols xxx

TheOneWithTheBaby · 14/07/2018 12:36

Soph I hope everything will be ok for you!

Cani ask a stupid question about dates? I think I ovulated 2 weeks ago. The digital test told me 1-2 weeks, too. That all makes sense. But is it true that the doctor would got from
The last period? Then that would be counted as almost 4 weeks? That seems weird as i was so obviously not pregnant then?

angel0071987 · 14/07/2018 13:08

@TheOneWithTheBaby counting is from Date of last period. I had an awful time explaining to my grandparents how I was 6weeks pregnant when our wedding was only 4weeks previous with my first!

Sophlou · 14/07/2018 13:34

Thanks @MrsLCW that's reassuring. I will try to relax.

TheOneWithTheBaby · 14/07/2018 13:37

How odd angel! That means today would be 4 weeks 3 days.

RachaelT · 14/07/2018 13:47

Hi @TheOneWithTheBaby, it took me a while to get my head around the dating. Due to being on holiday when AF was due I tested and calculated that I was 5 weeks 1 day when I got my BFP, now we're 2 weeks further and I've got my pre-booking in appointment this week.

bexmountford1986 · 14/07/2018 15:17

So had to have a early scan yesterday due to spotting and they said I was about 5 weeks pregnant so il be due 2 week of March maybe

Baby160P · 14/07/2018 16:08

Can lifting harm the pregnancy.

I'm talking picking up a 5 year old kind of weight. I've always done this so my muscles are used to it.

Someone just mentioned something today and I'm not sure it's right!

I've seen people heavily pregnant in the gym before now!

HidCat · 14/07/2018 17:12

@TheOneWithTheBaby congratulations! Disbelief is definitely normal lol. How are you planning to tell DH?

@Hans123 congratulations to you too! Must be such a relief after all this time.

@bexmountford1986 Congratulations on a good scan!

I think dating from the first day of your period is just easier as not many people can pin point their ovulation date accurately but can usually recall their period.

@Baby160P I've been told that if you're used to it, it's ok but be careful and with exercise adapt it to consider the abs. I'm picking up my 5yr old too. As long as it's not a strain it's fine but I'll stop as things progress. As you say, I know people who've weight lifted throughout as that's what they did before, they just used lighter weights.

Baby160P · 14/07/2018 17:30

Thanks @HidCat as if I didn't need to be anymore paranoid than I am already 😂😂

Hans123 · 14/07/2018 18:34

@HidCat
Thank you :-) it really is I couldn't believe it when I saw the test I did one the other day to make sure I'm still pregnant 🙈🙈

HidCat · 14/07/2018 19:03

@Baby160P I know! When I was pg with DS I got told off for carrying 2 4pint bottles of milk!

TheOneWithTheBaby · 14/07/2018 21:26

@HidCat, I've told DH now. He actually came back in the afternoon and I told him then.

I made a little gift back containing a good luck card, congratulating him to his promotion. A bottle of beer. I wrapped the pregnancy test and a pair of baby socks which I got in Sainsbury.

He was so excited! He also feels nervous, just like me, but we are both excited!

TopsyTurvyK29 · 14/07/2018 22:54

Congratulations! It's a very exciting time all round!

AtHe5292 · 15/07/2018 15:59

Hey guys
Tentatively joining this group too as due March 19. I’m 5 weeks pregnant after first cycle of trying (on honeymoon) so cant quite believe this is real!! I see a lot of you are doing early scans - is that something you would recommend? Are any of you doing them in London and if so where?

Also I haven’t told anyone yet and I’m wondering whether I should - my husband knows but he hasn’t really been much help he’s just doing that man thing of saying “let’s see what happens”!!! But it’s not his body!!

Have you guys told anyone? I am so paranoid something is gonna go wrong I’m wondering if might be better to confide in someone than drive myself crazy

Xxx

Sophlou · 15/07/2018 16:36

Congratulations @AtHe5292

I told my parents, sister, other half and 3 close friends within an hour of getting a positive test Smile Even though I told myself this time I would keep it to myself I was too excited , I absolutely couldn't. I've got 2 children and had one previous miscarriage and I did the same thing for my other pregnancies. I'm of the thinking that I only tell the people that I'd tell if things don't work out, although fingers crossed they will. There's no way I could get through to 12 weeks with not talking about it to those close to me. However I don't think there's any rules it's a Personnal choice and it whatever works best for you.

angel0071987 · 15/07/2018 18:15

@AtHe5292 that's identical to my situation with my DS - Couldn't believe it was real and honeymoon baby. I waited a week to tell parents (had to really as was so ill had to be signed off work). All was well with that one but was knicker watching constantly!
More scared with this one seeing as have since had a chemical and 2 m/c.
Fingers crossed you have a sticky bean.

Smilenow2008 · 15/07/2018 18:36

Havnt used this site before, recently found out I'm pregnant this will be my third child
Early days but excited Smile

PurpleFlower1983 · 15/07/2018 18:38

Anyone else still getting cramping? I’m finding it’s worse on an evening and when I’m hungry. Can’t help but worry!

LuckyKitty13 · 15/07/2018 19:03

Hello everyone,
I'm now 5+3 and feeling no different than normal. I took one test at 4 weeks and then a second 5 days later and it was much darker - good sign I hope!
Seems like forever until I actually see a midwife. Anyone thinking of an early scan? Anyone booked in yet?!

Hadders1979 · 15/07/2018 19:35

@PurpleFlower1983 yes I am still getting cramping... quite a lot today. Sometimes I think it's a good thing but sometimes I worry!
@LuckyKitty13 I booked yesterday for an early scan in a week and a half, when I'll be 6 + 3... going away on a big family holiday so wanted to be able to tell everyone! Fingers crossed it will be okay :)

TheOneWithTheBaby · 15/07/2018 20:21

I have some cramping every now and then. But I'm only 4 months 4 days apparently? I find it a bit confusing. According to the internet of be due some time around the 25th march maybe?

Also my boobs really hurt. Just very sensitive to touch.

I have told one friend now as I had to speak to someone. I will tell my mum on her birthday in a few weeks. She lives far away, any nice ideas of wat I could give to her as a surprise? I thought maybe a grandma mug or something.
