Is this a positive pregnancy test or not??

So I've taken 2 sainsburys pregnant tests one 3 days ago and another this morning.
It's meant to be a cross in the circle if pregnant... There's the thick line going across but then faint line going down. I don't know if this is a positive or not?
Please help X

There's a little paperclip under the message box. But a line is a line even if faint x

KatharinaRosalie · 15/02/2018 12:38

line is a line

crocodarl · 15/02/2018 12:41

From the information you've given, it sounds like a positive. If it says a cross and you have a cross that's that. It also sounds like you should read the instructions really carefully (usually it explains there why one line might be fainter).
Then book a doctor's appointment. I hope this is good news for you. Good luck. xx

Thanks Leanne, I don't have a paper clip option 🙄Xx

A friend of mine had the same thing, she didn't think she was pregnant but shown me the test. I got her to get another nearer the time she was due on as she'd taken the 1st test a couple days early, anyway sure enough the next test came up as a definite positive!!

Megh2296 · 15/02/2018 13:17

I've done 3 of those and all are the same. However the digital clear blue said not pregnant 🙄 X

The blue line looks a bit one sided which makes it more likely to be an evap line. Get a test with pink dye like a first response, that will give you a better answer.

Megh2296 · 15/02/2018 14:07

Those pictures aren't of my tests just similar ones someone found online but thank you I will do xx

How late is your period?

Megh2296 · 15/02/2018 14:14

Hi I'm on the mini pill, I have been for about a year now and I always always have a bleed I usually have a bleed that lasts around 10 days and then spotting. I haven't had a bleed in 7 weeks now. X

Megh2296 · 15/02/2018 14:17

I can't keep track of my periods as I never know when I'm going too bleed as I tend to bleed for a while. Then a week later I'd start again. X

time for another test I think. FMU and good luck on getting the result you want.

bettydraper31 · 15/02/2018 15:56

I’ve had false positives with sainsburys. Faint line but definitely wasn’t pregnant. If you google it lots of women have had problems with them. Take another brand to be sure.

FancyNewBeesly · 15/02/2018 15:56

Is it definitely the vertical line that’s faint? I was so confused when I got my positive because the vertical line was really strong but the horizontal line was really faint - then I realised it was the vertical line that meant pregnant. Seemed like the vertical line had pulled all the dye from the horizontal line - I was having twins, not sure if that’s why.

deegee90 · 15/02/2018 16:12

Go and buy a digital clear blue. Only way to put your mind at rest until you see the doc...

FancyNewBeesly · 15/02/2018 16:23

If it’s early days a digital may not work - they require a much higher level of hcg to show a positive. Superdrug ones are very good and have a low hcg threshold.

And don’t expect the gp to test you if they go - round here they don’t and you’re not even meant to see them!

Markygirl1995 · 15/02/2018 16:38

@Megh2296 I had this for lunch Tesco and Sainsbury's, took a digital clearblue and said pregnant 2-3 weeks

Megh2296 · 15/02/2018 16:46

Thank you everyone

The digital clear blue said not pregnant however the sainsburys one you can very clearly see both lines that make the cross up. I've bought a pink dye on so I'll try that! Xx

Those digi tests are just a gimmicky expensive rip off. Honestly, don’t waste your money.

Good luck.

xLeanne128 · 15/02/2018 17:36

Goodluck. Fingers crossed for you x
