So I've taken 2 sainsburys pregnant tests one 3 days ago and another this morning.
It's meant to be a cross in the circle if pregnant... There's the thick line going across but then faint line going down. I don't know if this is a positive or not?
Please help X

That’s very unusual to have a positive urine and negative blood.
It’s possible you had a chemical pregnancy perhaps? I would test again in a week. Did the docs say to come back at any point?

If you develop fever, severe pain (especially one sided) or bleeding so heavy it soaks a pad in an hour that’s an emergency and you need to seek care.

No bleeding , I have discharge ( sorry if to much info) and cramps but just normal.
There's definitely lines there very faint however they are there X

Hi!

My mum had this exact issue, all home pregnancy tests were showing positive, docs themselves even 100% convinced she was pregnant however their tests came back negative just as yours have.

She was extremely persistent as kept on getting the positive tests and no period and they eventually sent her for a scan where it confirmed she was indeed pregnant.

Keep at them! Xx

Megh2296 · 20/02/2018 18:59

Thank you I feel like I am going mad!!
So you can definitely see lines? I honestly feel like a crazy woman hah xx

Yes can definitely see the lines, I'd say they were even darker than my first tests I'm now 33 weeks xx

Megh2296 · 20/02/2018 19:04

I cannot understand why bloods would come back negative xxx

It sounds positive and your later picture is a clear positive, just faint. It sounds like it is too early in your pregnancy to get a clearer line yet, same deal for the digital tests. I would recommend waiting 48 hours before you test again. It can take hCG a long time to get up to a decent level in the early days but doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong.

BertieBotts · 20/02/2018 19:06

How have you had blood test results back on the same day? Confused

JediStoleMyBike · 20/02/2018 19:06

I think you need to speak to your doctor to be honest. No one can really give you any information apart from them. I'd be going back to explain about the tests.

Megh2296 · 20/02/2018 19:08

Thank you every one
Yes I got sent up to the hospital with s slip had bloods done about 9.15am then got a phone call at 4.20 with the negative result xx

But obviously I've got faint positives on all my tests xx

The doctor will say wait a week and if your period hasn't arrived do another blood test and/or urine test.

I'm afraid it's just a wait and see situation.

Megh2296 · 22/02/2018 07:57

This is today's test waited 48 hours.... X

Is this a positive pregnancy test or not??

I would say there was definitely a line, but it is so faint that you’re probably a week away from having a strong one. Roughly how many days post ovulation could you be? If the blood test was ‘negative’ I’m not sure how sensitive they are? I’ve only ever had blood tests following an early scan that they weren’t sure if it was viable to ensure hormone was going up not down.

cindersrella · 22/02/2018 08:10

This is definatley a line! GP and blood test all the way I reckon. Do you feel any different or have symptoms of pregnancy? 😃

Megh2296 · 22/02/2018 08:24

I have cramps and some discharge but nothing else really.
With regards to ovulation I have no idea as I've been on the pill X

I'm going with a line. I reckon a FRER will be blazing....

Megh2296 · 22/02/2018 09:46

Thanks, hoping the next set of bloods change as this is all very confusing X

I would wait and see. Not easy!
I had this and took 17 tests but nurses and doctors adamant I wasn’t pregnant to the extent they were explaining I’d had a mmc.
I was definitely still pregnant and Dd is 4 now! Hope it works out for you.

Backenette · 22/02/2018 18:59

It’s definitely a line. False positives are vanishingly rare and to have several is unheard of. There is HCG in your urine. Now whether that means you’re pregnant or not isn’t 100% certain.

What you need is 2-3 blood tests spaced out 48 hours apart to see if levels are rising as they should.

How frustrating for you! I hope it works out - get one or two of the fancy first response ones and pee 48 hours apart using FMU. And back to docs!
