I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Mustang Thank you for the kind words and the helpful advice regarding labour/delivery :)
Sorry you had to go through the bad experience towards the last leg of labour.
Hope this time they respect your choices more and you are able to have an overall good experience.
I was wondering about a water birth but DH is worried I might need an epidural and that wouldn't be available at the birth center.
Oh and Mini Mustang parotting haha Grin

just Hope we are able to drag ourselves to the dentist's office sooner than later. I think we are only a week apart?
I am 19 weeks tomorrow.

pippa A day at a time..
Some serious envy about you having only 4 weeks left though, I would kill to be in your place Grin
Well halfway there almost.

seize Yay on the HG free mornings and booo to the not-so-good evenings. Food aversions here too.
Hope you are able to go see your Aunty.

Thank you for good wishes over OH. Mustang He is in fact a Scouse - hence my knowledge of the dialect - but looks so exactly like one of the extras in that ancient Kirk Douglas film 'The Vikings' that when the consultant said that he must be of Viking descent to have the condition, it came as no surprise.
Thinking of you all; I am glad Snipples has been released early for good behaviour! Grin and DeadDoorPost That is rather a lovely picture.
Thinking of you all.

Sorry Shehz I realised after posting that that was a bit insensitive to everyone else earlier along - it feels like forever doesn't it, but congratulations on being almost half way there!

justtheonethen · 25/10/2017 21:39

shehz I'm 20+5 today so just over a week apart. Race to the babies Smile

justtheonethen · 25/10/2017 21:41

Eeeep dead that's a lovely pic. Uncomfy though I'm sure!

jmd don't worry, you've found your people. Moan away! I think this group have been the only thing keeping me slightly sane!

Pollifilla · 25/10/2017 21:57

Sorry - self indulgent moan alert

After surviving 8 damned weeks of this, our first family holiday being marred by sicknesd, all of us in Polli towers having a sickness bug this last week (landing me in hospital) and the subsequent joys of Ondansetron constipation, I am now vomiting through the bloody meds just as much as before I was taking them and little Polli has developed a horrid cough that is keeping him up all night :-( I should be comforting my poorly child like a proper mother but instead I was throwing up while he cried pitifully. I hate myself and I hate this.

God, I know some of you that have been coping with this for months - I don't know how - I just want a break!!! This week it's just been one thing after another!

justtheonethen · 25/10/2017 22:00

Oh polli, massive sympathy. I have no idea how you cope with looking after a child too. You're a super hero! Sounds like you need more meds to go alongside the ondansetron. Flowers

OnNaturesCourse · 25/10/2017 22:04

Lol Deaddoor my bump always sits like that... My bump is about 1-2 inches higher/bigger on the right than the left. Baby just does not lie anywhere other than my right side.

DeadDoorpost · 25/10/2017 22:20

nature lol yeah only BabyDoor is diagonal so he's either shifted today or I've developed a hunched stomach 😂😂😂 he's been really active today which is unusual

OnNaturesCourse · 26/10/2017 01:57

Sticking something out anyway lol. Bless. My right side is aching for a break, I keep trying to get baby to move a little but they just go from pushing up against my back to pushing my right side out. Very strange how they have their favored positions (normally ones that cause most discomfort to Mum Sad )

OnNaturesCourse · 26/10/2017 01:58

That sad Sad was meant to be a hmmm Hmm

I'm blaming baby brain, fat fingers and midnight nausea alongside upset stomach. Blush

OnNaturesCourse · 26/10/2017 02:01

Omg, now all my emotions on this app are showing as the blue sad face...if that doesn't show how I'm feeling I don't know what will lol.

Goodness I'm giving up on forums tonight haha. Wishing you all a HG free morning cxx

Mustang27 · 26/10/2017 09:23

Morning everyone hope everyone is feeling a little less rough.

I’m so sorry polli that you are suffering with bugs as well as hg it’s tough and really when you think it can’t get any worse, it bloody does. You won’t break and mini polli will be fine poor wee guy though hope he is on the mend soon.

Love the bump pic Dead yeah they really are sitting all to one side. Poor Ons as well I agree they seem to pick the most uncomfortable spot.

I got my flu injection yesterday, it was bloody nippy I swear he just kinda stabbed me twisted it then sent me on my way. He asked why I was there Blush I was like im asthmatic, I’m pregnant and my midwife requested I get it, then he left the room I felt really stupid he came back in after a few minutes didn’t utter a word. It was a very weird experience.

Oh wow Pippa that cake sounds delicious I’d happily just eat the chocolate buttercream yum.

Sorry about my rant about labour it really was a great experience mostly the dr and consultant played on my naivety. My advice go for the water birth it was bliss in the pool. I never once thought I need stronger pain relief than gas and air Shehz not that it matters what pain relief you need, my only advice get in the pool once you are at least 5cm-7cm dilated as before that the pool is likely to slow contractions. Mini was back to back ifor so supposedly that’s more painful and I still coped. I’m really not worried about labour i actually kind of enjoyed it, I know I sound mental.

pippanippa · 26/10/2017 10:13

mustang you are so right about the water, I did the same thing as you and the pain relief of water is really amazing! Hoping to try the same this time as long as the right room is available and there are no problems from the GD, fingers crossed!

Hope everyone's dong ok today. Polli i'm so sorry the medicine isn't working, sometimes things just suck don't they? Hope today is at least a slightly better one, and always feel free to rant away.

Natsku · 26/10/2017 10:33

Can't get water births at my local hospital which really disappointed me last time and they only have one bath for easing labour pains so you have to be lucky to get the labour room that has the bath.

Have decided against trying to get my bike home - this was the snow 5 hours ago and it's been snowing constantly since!

Bunnyfluffy · 26/10/2017 10:44

Natsku where do you live?

LucindaE · 26/10/2017 10:45

Oh dear, suffering all round, particularly from Pollifilla. That's grim that the meds are doing so little for you, and you now all have that awful virus which is going the rounds. Thinking of you all, though I can't come in much at the moment. At least there is a Christmas card type photo from Natsku...

Cold cold Finland bunny! DD had a very snowy walk to school, might have to bring out her skis Grin

Gennz · 26/10/2017 10:51

Hi ladies - I feel a bit awful butting in here as I don't have HG (yet). Last time with DS I vomited (really screamy dramatic vomming, it was v odd) every morning until he arrived and I'm just trying to remember when it kicked in, I think about 8 weeks? I'm 5+1 currently. Resigned to going through it all again & trying to calculate how much time I have left before all I can stomach is McD's French fries 🙁

Gennz · 26/10/2017 10:51

Sorry I meant to ask when did it hit you all? Baby brain already...

Bunnyfluffy · 26/10/2017 11:15

Hi Gennz it hit me around 6 weeks

Natsku · 26/10/2017 11:16

A good chance you'll go through it again but it's not a foregone conclusion - fingers crossed you'll avoid it this time! I think the sickness started around 6 weeks for me and after a week or so it was bad enough that I considered HG. It started earlier when I was pregnant with DD, at 5 weeks (didn't know I was pregnant, thought I had a really bad stomach bug!)

Gennz · 26/10/2017 11:20

Thank you. Arrgghh my days are numbered 😰

Worst part is I have a work trip overseas with my team for 3 days when I'm 81/2 weeks - I will have to tell them I am preg, I'll be stuffed.

Of course it may not hit but I'm already a bit queasy so I think it's not far off 😭

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 26/10/2017 11:40

About 6 weeks here, although I was queasy from 9 days PO, that's my sign. I knew I was either pregnant or was about to got norovirus.

Living off mcD's fries here at 10 weeks, didn't realise that was a thing! That and a few other beige salty things.

Good luck with the trip abroad - I was supposed to go abroad with work during my first pregnancy at around 8 weeks and had to cancel it very last minute. Fuming.

Natsku I'm really jealous of your beautiful snow.
