38 weeks and can't wait!!

Currently 38 weeks pregnant today and cannot wait to meet my little boy! I'm feeling so impatient. I've tried to help bring on labour but nothing seems to be working! I've tried bouncing on my birthing ball, sex, evening primrose oil etc.. also been losing my plug over the past two weeks but haven't had a bloody show. Anyone in the same boat as me?? Would love to hear how everybody's pregnancies are going!

TMI - can early labour possibly feel like constipation!?!?

Been in constant pain for 4 hours, feel " gassy " bloated, with a constant dull ache & something a bit stronger than braxton hicks. Hoping to dose off for a few hours & wake up in full blown labour - fingers crossed

Jumping into this thread too, although I'm only 36weeks. Been having terrible back ache and period cramps for past few days plus lost my mucus plug a couple days ago. Did go to triage and the Dr said I've entered the latent phase of labour. Hope this means baby will be on its way soon!! ... although reading through your posts it seems like it will still be a waiting game!

Anyone had any developments over night? Xx

Nothing here I'm afraid! Though on my due date thread we've had several babies overnight. .

Those lucky women! It was actually a cool evening compared to the previous nights too. Hoping the heatwave doesn't return for us when we go into labour

Oh god! I definitely agree with that.
They close all the windows as well for hygiene etc so it gets sweltering in those rooms.

I've had nothing but twinges for about two weeks now I've still got 8 days till my due date but I'm so ready for It now lol x

Hopefully won't be long to wait for you! This weekend would be good with the fresher weather and wind. Fingers crossed xx

I feel really deflated after getting contractions yesterday, and a few last night, but nothing now - I really thought it was starting I guess she's just not ready yet....

@TwinkleStars15 I had contractions until 4am this morning, then they died off - like you I feel very deflated with it. Haven't had one twinge today .. like you, she's just not ready - so frustrating as we are!!

deb I feel your pain, I've been sulking all day! I thought maybe they'd start up again but they haven't

Yup! Exactly how i feel. Have a full day of gearing myself up for the main event to nothing. It's crazy!

Can I ask .. what do your movements actually feel like at 38 weeks plus ladies!?

Like a rolling sensation, don't really get kicks as such anymore.

I think my waters might be leaking slowly.....

@TwinkleStars15 put a pad on and give maternity a ring. They may bring you in to take a swab and check.

glitters it only trickles out when I go for a wee, and it's only been a little bit so I'm a bit unsure Been getting some pretty painful cramps too....fingers crossed!

I'd get it checked just in case. Sounds promising. I'm back to regualrish cramping but not getting more intense really.

Bored now. I want full blown pain or just to be able to get on and get stuff done/enjoy my day

I've had nothing today - not one symptom pointing in the right direction!

Phoned them and they said to put a pad in and lay flat for 30 minutes, then stand up because if it is my waters then it'll pool in my vagina and come out....but lying flat is agony

Getting pains every 5 mins or so, sat in a warm bath and going to put my tens machine on after. If these stop like they did on Friday I'm going to cry!!

I don't have induction date, usually they would give you a sweep at 39 weeks here but apparently they are not allowed to anymore so I'm booked in for my first sweep a week on Tuesday but if that doesn't work I'm going to ask to have induction booked. I really can't go to 42 weeks. It's killing me just now. My boobs are so sore this afternoon, hoping it's the milk coming in!

@deb1407 I had a sweep early last time but I'm booked in for a sweep on my due date. Apparently they will induce at 40+12 in my area so less than three weeks to go.

Feels like a lifetime away though
