Kittenrush · 11/11/2016 22:49

Oh you lucky thing! Congrats induction buddy. Im so happy for you! I'm still in labour. Had my pessary for the full 30 hours. Contracted the entire time getting much worse towards the end. Eventually decided 30 hours of labour was enough and I am now epiduraled up and currently 6cm. Don't regret a thing!!!

Gabby786 · 11/11/2016 23:48

Oh no I can't believe it's taken so long for you! You must have been in pain you poor thing!!! Any progress?

Just had another sweep at the drip in clinic to see if I could avoid induction tomorrow but apparently head is in the wrong place, resting on my pubic bone and my cervix is still way too high so looking like induction for me tomorrow! Hope I get the Gabby version!!

Baz13 · 12/11/2016 09:45

Congratulations Gabby! So glad it's all over for you now and you can enjoy your little girl :) What a gorgeous name by the way Flowers

Baz13 · 12/11/2016 09:51

Forgot to comment back to you the other day- I had a pessary that didn't work, (last sat evening) they then broke my waters Sun morning and then I had the drip- I went from 2 to 4 cm slowly then in half an hour 4-8 cm! They had to stop the oxytocin as it was too high and causing too many strong contractions in 10 minutes. Every time I had contractions her heart rate went low, so they did blood gases on her head and they came back too low so was whisked off to theatre straight away. Cord was wrapped around her neck 3 times!

But that was nearly a whole week ago! Time literally flies by.

Kittenrush · 12/11/2016 12:02

5:30am gave birth to an absolutely beautiful baby girl. 9lb1 (thank god I had that epidural!!) she's just long though, not a chubster :) did it all by myself! I'm very proud of us! She is perfection. Thanks everyone for asking after me :) xxx

LolaStarr · 12/11/2016 12:45

Congratulations Kitten - well done xxx

Flisspaps · 12/11/2016 14:30

Congratulations OP Flowers

Just wanted to say to any of you others on this thread, there's no such thing as not letting you go over so many days overdue. It's entirely up to you if you are induced or not, and it's for you to weigh up the risks and benefits of induction vs expectant management.

I'll bog off now as my DC are 6 and 4 (DD was 15 days over, so I do feel your pain!)

Baz13 · 14/11/2016 11:08

Congratulations Kitten :)

Kittenrush · 08/12/2016 11:23

Ooh I haven't looked at this for ages, everyone MUST have their babies by now!! Gabby, We called our little girl Luna xx
