I'm now 40+6. Anyone else in the overdue camp???

Thanks Gabby. I'm dreading it but hoping it works for me. And as you say, I can find out a bit what's going on in there, I've had bloody mucous coming out constantly since Saturday morning which has worried me a bit...

Talk to your midwife tomorrow but I've heard as long as it isn't fresh blood then it's pretty normal. I really hope things happen for you soon. I haven't had a show at all yet :-/

That's great Gabby. At least if baby does keep you waiting until Thursday, you should avoid the pessary and go straight to having waters broken. MiniLop and Kitten, fingers crossed for successful sweeps tomorrow x

Oh yeah I didn't even think about that! At least induction has a better chance of working now it's soft and I'm dilating!

I didn't need the sweep in the end, my waters broke at midnight and DS2 was born at 3:20am this morning 40+9 in the end. Good luck for your sweep today Kitten and good luck Gabby and Chuck!

Congrats MiniLop! Gives me hope!! I have spoken to midwife and apparently baby could be back to back and that could be stopping it putting pressure on my cervix to make it move down. Hoping I can persuade baby to move by spending my day scrubbing the skirting boards!!

Have been stalking this thread the last few days and hope you don't mind me joining.

Due date today but this LO is in no rush to make an appearance. Saw midwife yesterday and I'm booked in for a sweep next Monday when I'll be 40+6.

Reading your posts has prepared me for the waiting game as this is my first.

Congrats Mini!!!!! Did you have a girl or a boy? What did he/she weigh? Hope you're both doing well.

And yes it's my first too and currently 11 days late. Not expecting anything to happen till my induction now which is Thursday.

Welcome Mrslen, sorry if we've filled you with horror :) it's not that bad honest! Aw chuck what a nightmare, hope you can get LO to turn around, skirting boards sounds like a good plan. Gabby only 2 days left love! So excited for you.
My mate who is due 3 weeks after me is being induced on Friday because she has GD. Obviously relieved that I haven't had an health problems but also hating that everyone I know has now had their baby before me. I'm definitely going to be preggers for the rest of my life

KittenRush I know how you feel! Almost everyone was either due same day as me or after me and they've all had their babies!!!! But GD is awful. I was so shocked when my results came back negative because I die for sweet stuff lol

Ha ha! All I am doing having sweet stuff! I just picked my daughter up from nursery but had to take a detour via the costa drive through for a black cherry hot chocolate in a Christmas cup!!!

Thanks everyone. Gabby we had a little boy, called Jasper. 9lb 8oz!! My midwife said he would be big he's my second which is probably why he came so quickly once he decided he was ready! Good luck everyone, hope you're not waiting long x

MiniLop aww I love that name!!!!! And yes that's a chunker but at least he is healthy!!! I feel like my one will be big especially as I'm well overdue now lol.

I feel like a terrible person for being jealous of her getting to have her baby whilst I'm here 6 days over, hating life. Just have to keep reminding myself that's she's happy and healthy in there! Totally agree that this thread is a god send mrslen. So good to have people who understand. Ah well only 6 days left until induction. Snort.

KittenRush I'm slightly jealous too lol. But my little one kicks away like nothing and I only have two days left till induction! Yay!!! Lol

I hope I get a labour like that MiniLop. Labour with my daughter was pretty textbook so I just assumed this would be the same. How stupid of me! It is making me quite depressed to be honest! I feel like I should be enjoying those last few days but actually just constantly anxious and frustrated

I've just been up to the hospital because I hadn't felt her move since my sweep. Gabby we're going to be induction buddies. I've been bumped up to Thursday

Thank you, I think so, she's just been a bit sleepy. Her tracing was absolutely fine, I felt like such a fraud being up there but had to follow MWs orders of course. The nurse was happy to send me home and I was practically running out the door, however Dr decided as she's a week over they will bring induction forward a few days just to be 100% safe :) had a huge show this morning so who knows? Maybe I can get her out today instead lol!

KittenRush I'm glad the trace was okay! I had one scare in my pregnancy when I was about 7 months. That feeling is awful!!! We're both having our babies tomorrow!!!! Eeeeekkkk. I have to call the ward at 10 and they'll tell me what time to come in.
