Oh Gabby, i'm still here as well Sad. We make good homes for our babies!

I am booked in for another stretch and sweep next Tuesday and then induction next Friday.

So fed up now and really emotional, just had a major blub whislt eating breakfast and my two children just looked on in shock, as I stopped eating my cereal haha!

RattieOfCatan · 04/11/2016 07:44

I am technically overdue now, was due yesterday. DH has booked next week off of work as he started his new job too late to be entitled to paternity leave. We're hoping that baby makes an appearance before the end of next week as we can't really afford unpaid leave for him, but baby is trolling us!

I have no clue what the next step is, not even seeing the midwife again until Thursday when I'll be 41 weeks! She's completely unconcerned which was reassuring but I'm now a tad concerned that I havent been offered a sweep or anything?! I'd like to avoid the hospital if at all possible which my midwife knows (I have social anxiety, just being around people will be a struggle so going in to be induced is my idea of hell! I'd actually opt for a ELCS over being on the ward in labour for hours surrounded by other women and their families!)

LolaStarr · 05/11/2016 17:19

How are you doing gabby?

Gabby786 · 05/11/2016 17:25

Still pregnant :-/// I am now +8. The sweep on Thursday told me I wasn't even dilated. I have another sweep on Monday and my induction is on this Thursday. Kinda resigned myself to the fact it's gonna end up being an induction.

40+4 here and having no signs at all. Extremely tired, emotional and uncomfortable. Have had two sweeps that didn't work. Am dying to avoid an induction, plus I can't wait another week or so without cracking up. Good luck to everyone in the same boat.

Gabby786 · 05/11/2016 18:54

TidyThatMess I totally feel your pain! I've been having cramps but nothing is really coming of it. I really didn't want to get induced but looks like I will as I'm 8 days over now.

I did wonder about you earlier Gabby - hoping you had gone into labour! I am now 40+6 and I really thought I would have had baby by now as my DD was born at 40+6. I have been so grumpy today. Cried 3 times! I really don't feel like I can do this for another week as they won't induce until 42 weeks!

Gabby786 · 05/11/2016 19:47

ChuckALuck yes I cried two nights ago for ages too! I'm so fed up and miserable. It's impossible to enjoy being pregnant when you end up so overdue. I have another sweep Monday and my induction is on Thursday. I've prepared myself it'll be an induction :-(

Still pregnant here too, I'm +6 now. Had 2 very large bloody shows one on Thursday and one today which I was hoping was a sign things were getting started. I went into labour with DS 48 hours after my first show (at 39+2), obviously this one is happy where it is... getting fed up now!
I was offered a sweep yesterday which I declined, I'll be offered one again at my next appointment on Tuesday which I think I'll decline again.

Tidythatmess · 05/11/2016 21:26

minilop I think I might decline any more sweeps too as they've been so painful and haven't worked at all.

confusedandemployed · 05/11/2016 21:31

Just a small sliver of hope.. .I had 3 sweeps and my induction was booked for 40+12. Labour started naturally at 40+11 after sex

Labour was less straightforward, but I just wanted to reassure you that it can still happen on its own....

Kittenrush · 05/11/2016 21:48

Still pregnant here too. 2 sweeps, acupuncture, pineapple, curry, sex. Nothing works! I guess they are all just comfy in there ladies xx

Princesspinkgirl · 06/11/2016 00:16

Not overdue but feel sorry for the ladies who are.. I'm due Christmas day and already feeling uncomfortable 90% of the time these last 7 weeks better hurry Brew

Kittenrush · 06/11/2016 15:00

How is everyone? X

Gabby786 · 06/11/2016 15:55

It's my last date night for a while as my induction is on Thursday so decided to go for a spicy ass curry and enjoy being with the hubby and hopefully taking my mind off it will set something off.

Bless you, that's the way to do it I reckon, have a lovely evening :) xx

Chuckaluck · 06/11/2016 17:21

Have a lovely evening Gabby. I have had a crazy day of food shopping, going for a walk and cooking a roast dinner! Still feeling stupidly sorry for myself. Almost excited about the fact I have a sweep booked tomorrow and that could start something but not sure it will!

Kittenrush · 06/11/2016 17:31

Good luck with your sweep chuck

Gabby786 · 07/11/2016 00:07

I have another sweep tomorrow too chuckaluck. Went for a nice meal with the hubby and I had crazy cramps after and now they've gone away :-/

OP posts:
Chuckaluck · 07/11/2016 06:13

Hope the meal was nice Gabby. Kitten, do you have a sweep booked?

Bad nights sleep dreaming about my waters breaking and waking up realising I just really needed a wee!!

Kittenrush · 07/11/2016 09:00

Yeah I've got my 3rd one booked for tomorrow. Had loads more show this morning but I'm not getting excited because she KEEPS doing this to me haha. Glad you had a nice meal gabby, not long now lovely x

Chuckaluck · 07/11/2016 16:20

How was the sweep Gabby? Mine failed again, cervix still too high apparently. Induction booked for Sunday Confused

Gabby786 · 07/11/2016 16:54

Hi ladies! Chuck I'm so gutted for you on your behalf because you must be super frustrated. I had my second sweep today. They said they could feel her head and that I'm 2cm dilated. So I'm hoping something happens before my induction which is on Thursday.

OP posts:
MiniLop · 07/11/2016 17:06

Fingers crossed for you Gabby!
I've got the midwife coming tomorrow and I think I'm going to have the sweep this time... I'll be 40+9 tomorrow.

Gabby786 · 07/11/2016 17:39

Minilop it's not pleasant but it's worth it if it works so I recommend you do. And even so you can at least know what's going on in there too.
