So terrified. Emergency section at 25w

Today I've been admitted to hospital and told my baby will need to be delivered in next 24 hours due to poor growth and almost no waters. Baby is only measuring at 1lb 2oz with a less than 50% chance of survival. My husband and I are devastated and terrified. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

My beautiful little Grandson is now 3. He was delivered by LSCS at 32 weeks but was IUGR and only weighed a little over 2 lbs. It's been a long haul, he was in SCBU for some weeks and it was at times very scary and sad. However he is now healthy, happy and delightful. You're in my thoughts

Congratulations Flowers
My waters went at 30 weeks with my ds. He is now a perfectly healthy 3 year old.

It's a frightening time but stay positive.

I'll be thinking of you and your family xx

Congratulations! Sending positive thoughts and lots of love for you all. Look after yourself and remember to talk about how you are feeling. It is all too easy to be so consumed by what's happening to your little one that you forget about yourself. I know it's scary but you (and her) can get through this xx

I know two people who had babies at 24 weeks titchy. One 9 years ago weighing 1lb 3oz, the other 3 years ago weighing 1lb 2oz. Both children are now thriving with no issues at all. There were bumps in the road with regard to infection, breathing etc but both came through :) congratulations on your new LO and I am sending love and prayers your way. I'm up half the night with pregnancy insomnia at the moment so if you need a hand hold during the lonely hours pop a message and if I'm up we can have a chat X X
