Today I've been admitted to hospital and told my baby will need to be delivered in next 24 hours due to poor growth and almost no waters. Baby is only measuring at 1lb 2oz with a less than 50% chance of survival. My husband and I are devastated and terrified. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

That is great news about her not having NG feeding but bottles SmileSmileSmile

It really is a 3 steps forward and 1 step back isn't it with her oxygen?

I guess she is now fitting newborn sized clothes SmileSmileSmile

PetalMettle · 28/02/2017 17:59

Great she's doing so well with feeding and weight gain. Hope the oxygen is sorted soon

sweetchilli77 · 28/02/2017 18:05

Fantastic news, been keeping an eye on this thread from day one. My LO was born at 27 weeks, went through very similar things you all have been through. She came home on oxygen 0.5L. We had a canister up stairs and one down stairs and 2 small transport canisters.

Hang on in there. She has come a long way. And you have been trooper.

RasperryInAMelon · 04/03/2017 07:10

How are things titchy?

Titchypanda · 04/03/2017 08:59

Bea is doing ok. She has been fully bottle feeding for a few days. Oxygen currently at 0.6L. We had our first tummy time the other day. The first time in almost 5 months I've actually been able to spend time on my own with her with no other babies, families or staff around. It was only 1 hour but still lovely.

That is lovely TitchyPanda SmileSmileSmile

It seems Bea has worked out how to feed from the bottle ok that she doesn't need to go back onto NGT, while still keeping her oxygen levels ok SmileSmileSmile

MadisonAvenue · 10/03/2017 17:47

Hi Titchy, how's Bea doing this week?

Titchypanda · 10/03/2017 18:21

Hi All, Bea is 150 days old today! She's in 0.5L oxygen and on alternate day steroids. She is still fully bottle fed and monitoring has been removed today. If all is well overnight, we are hopefully rooming in over the weekend!

No experience but wishing you all the luck in the world

LuchiMangsho · 10/03/2017 18:59

I am on a SCBU with my 26 weeker (now 35 weeks). I have read every update and cheered Bea on her journey. It is such a momentous day when you can room in. I am keeping every finger and toe crossed for you. My consultant was saying that the long stayers totally thrive at home- he said their complexion changes, they glow and they come on in leaps and bounds.

PetalMettle · 10/03/2017 20:45

Yay! Hope you get a good weekend

melissasummerfield · 10/03/2017 21:26

Just read your whole thread and have everything crossed for you over the weekend. What a journey you have all been on and what a little fighter Bea is.

ButtMuncher · 11/03/2017 00:10

Oh Titchy! I remember reading this not long after my DS came along. I'm so so thrilled that things are looking up and Bea is just amazing, as are you all. Huge hugs and fist pumps for you this weekend, hopefully a step closer to you guys being at home together Grin

RTKangaMummy · 11/03/2017 10:58

Hope all went well with Bea last night and so you and TitchyPandaDaddy are spending the weekend with her all together as a family

SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Titchypanda · 11/03/2017 11:31

All went well so we are rooming in for at least the next couple of days. We're hoping that we might be able to go home Monday as it is Daddy's birthday and I can't think of a more perfect present for him.

Photo is from yesterday. Couldn't resist putting her in a party dress for 150 day celebration.

So terrified. Emergency section at 25w
