Today I've been admitted to hospital and told my baby will need to be delivered in next 24 hours due to poor growth and almost no waters. Baby is only measuring at 1lb 2oz with a less than 50% chance of survival. My husband and I are devastated and terrified. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Wishing strength and health to little Bea.

Quick update for you all. Bea has been on cpap for 2 days and has been relatively stable. The steroids stop in the next day or so, so this will be the big test to see if she can cope with cpap without them. She's allowed clothes now. She's in the tiny tommys medical access vests (1.5-3lb). She has lost all the puffiness and now weighs 840g. She has a loud cry for such a tiny girl! My husband and I have finally been able to give her a cuddle after 5 weeks of waiting. She's definitely a daddy's girl as was more settled with my hubby. Hopefully she will stay on cpap and keep making progress.

You are doing the MOST incredible job. I am in awe of you. How many weeks is Bea now?

Wishing you a very successful next few days as she weans off the steroids. Flowers

That is utterly amazing! Well done Little Bea and well done Titchy and Mr Titchy!

I remember first cuddles with my twins (at 2 and 3 weeks old), it was the first time I'd felt like a mum.

Loving the fact she has a loud cry! Her inner strength is shining through.
Sounds like she had a fighting spirit - which could make your home extra lively in around 2 years time. 😀

Please do keep us updated on Miss Bea's progress.

Adarajames · 20/11/2016 20:50
