Had severe cramping for the last three evenings, followed by slight spotting yesterday and this morning.

Am seven weeks and 1 day pregnant. Can already see the baby in my head.

the doctor said - "will have to wait and see but, the good news is that you managed to get pregnant and than you should therefore be able to do it again", and "these are not good signs". No suggestions that it was likely to be anything else.

Very clear she thinks its most likely a miscariage.

really worried. poor lass

Marina · 27/01/2007 20:14

lissielou, I think it is possible that angua is a Mner who mainly logs on while at work...
So the silence may hopefully not mean bad news...

Unfortunatly its not good news.

I went to A & E on Friday as the pain was getting worse and worse. They admitted me and started to give me something for the pain. The bleeding was getting heavier and eventually a scan confirmed that there was no heartbeat.

The pain was unbelievably bad, ended up on about three different things for it at the same time.

They decided I needed a D&C but, it being the weekend, and the NHS, they were only finally able to do this on Saturday evening. The hardest thing about this was that it was always "in a couple of hours, you are next on the list".

Finally sent me down for surgery on sat evening, and by that time I had had some signficiant clogging, so it was all very clear.

The BLOODY doctor, while I am lying there, waiting for the anesthetist said "oh, you are only six weeks, we usually do another scan a week later in that case" So I have to explain the circumstances to him. He did then say - that we probably were 8 weeks as we thought, not six weeks, and the baby hadn't developed properly right from the start.

Finally got home late Saturday night and spent yesterday sleeping and crying.

We have called him Nate, he was only with us for a very short time, but was loved and wanted and has changed our lives. We miss him very much. He tried so hard to hang on for us, but in the end he couldn't. We are so sorry.

Thank you all very much.

Currently just sitting at home, trying to get over the physical stuff, no idea where I am emotionally, OK, then not, then OK again. Just trying to give myself time really.

So sorry to hear your news. I had my 4th miscarriage in October but found out last week I am 10 weeks ( i've manager to get past the 8 weeks so should be ok).
Your time will come and your baby will be treasured by you all the more. I wish you luck and the strength to overcome this & start again.
