Had severe cramping for the last three evenings, followed by slight spotting yesterday and this morning.

Am seven weeks and 1 day pregnant. Can already see the baby in my head.

the doctor said - "will have to wait and see but, the good news is that you managed to get pregnant and than you should therefore be able to do it again", and "these are not good signs". No suggestions that it was likely to be anything else.

Very clear she thinks its most likely a miscariage.

angua awesome news
once you see a heartbeat your chances of miscarrying tumble - so the sonographer and consultant told me.
Fingers crossed the rest of your pregnancy is plain sailing
Tough little bean in there
So chuffed for you xxx

AnguaVonUberwald · 26/01/2007 11:05

Oh god, I just can't take this anymore.

Such good news yesterday but the bleeding hasn't stopped, in fact if anything its heavier, and we had something that could have been a clot last night.

No more of them since but more bleeding. I don't know what to think and am sitting at work not getting anything done at all. Its all finally hitting me.

i just need to know one way or another. We are going to try and get another scan tommorow at a drop in clinic but it just feels like nothing definitive is going to happen and this horrible up, down, happy, terrified thing is going to keep on happening.

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I know that you are probably fearing the worst, but keep that some people do have bleeding during successful pgs... Can you go back to the EPU? Will keep my fingers crossed for you, hope you get a scan and look out for your results...

AnguaVonUberwald · 26/01/2007 12:32

Plan to go to the EPU on Saturday morning, but in LOTS of pain here. Can't be a good sign.

This must be torture Angua. Good luck with EPU. I'll be thinking of you.

foundintranslation · 26/01/2007 12:37

Oh how horrible for you. Do try and get seen.

AnguaVonUberwald · 26/01/2007 12:44

Torture is a very good way of describing it actually. My emtions haven't got a clue what to feel right now, they are just all over the place.

I hate this, just need some resolution (and less pain would be nice too, hopefully the painkillers will kick in soon)

will be thinking of you. A horrible time - look after yourself well.

DimpledThighs · 26/01/2007 12:46

Your emotions will be all over the place and so will your mind - combination of hormone and uncetainity. Can you break your time down into half hours and make a little task for each half hour? Just to get you through the time without churning it over in your head?

lissielou · 26/01/2007 12:50

ring nhs direct NOW they will get you in for a scan. failing that go to epu and sit ypourself down til they see you. this isnt fair

thinking of you sweets

Mumpbump · 26/01/2007 12:56

I agree with lissie. If you are in pain, go to A&E and ask if they can get you a scan today... Go asap though or they might not have time to fit you in... Or go directly to the EPU and stage a sit-in... Pain is not good.

RidingMum · 26/01/2007 13:00

You must not put up with this - leave work and go to A and E - you are in pain, and your pregnancy is at risk - they must see you and sort it out one way or the other.

lissielou · 26/01/2007 13:13

ffs it makes me soooo angry. they are messing about with peoples lives here

AnguaVonUberwald · 26/01/2007 13:15

OK, am going to casulty

Angua you are in London?

St Thomas' has a walk-in, no referral EPU where you can get a scan and see a midwife (you might have to wait).

Very best of luck XXX

lissielou · 26/01/2007 13:28

good luck, will be waiting for you sweets x

lissielou · 26/01/2007 20:47

DimpledThighs · 26/01/2007 21:13

still thinking about you today...

Isa11 · 26/01/2007 21:32

Definitely go to A & E. Have done this for two pregnancies. The first one, I had bleeding and the baby was fine. On a subsequent pregnancy, bleeding turned out to be a miscarriage. So, it could go either way from the symptoms you describe. However, they have to send you for a scan if you turn up with bleeding in pregnancy. That way you will know either way.

sazzybee · 26/01/2007 21:58

I had heavy bleeding at 15 weeks on a Saturday and was taken to A&E in an ambulance. As it was the weekend, they couldn't scan me until Monday.

My baby's fine now but just be warned that out of hours, you might have to go back after the weekend.

lissielou · 27/01/2007 08:42

bumping for you x
