Aww sunflower, that sucks when you don't feel concerns are listened to. Not long to go now though and then hopefully things will get moving for you!

Okay I started this thread and it seemed I would never give birth!!!

Beatrice Rebecca born 31st Jan weighing 7lbs 15oz

Labour was spontaneous but failed to progress beyond 9cm after 4 days of contractions so born by emergency section.

5 days in hospital with infection but finally safe and home on Thursday - remembered to update the group today!

Good luck to the rest!

2ManySweets yes, in the UK. That'll be my 2nd sweep if i get that far. Had my first on my due date.

Congrats that's amazing!!!

I started contractions last night then my son kept waking up and they disappeared. Cried in frustration. I've told dh if he tells me to hurry up and have this baby at any point today I'm leaving for the day.

NotSpeaking, I got excited last night too, had various pains...which then all stopped!

Feeling overly emotional and irritable today and don't want to talk to anyone!

That's so funny coz I also had pains last night after doing some bouncing and circles in my bouncing ball! I might try this again tonight - nothing came of my pains and also to be honest sounds weird but they didn't really feel like contractions i.e didn't peak and also were more like pains in the bum (!) and a few sharp pains rather than maybe what I think contractions will be x

My natural contractions started as period pains with my 2nd so feel for that. That horrid period cramping feeling is the start

Feeling OK thanks sunflower, trying to relax and be patient and not get too excited anymore every time I get a slight pain! Confused

My husband was disappointed to have to go to work today, he'd planned to be on paternity leave now, lol!

Ahh yeah, I just had a look at the earlier meassgaes on this thread and see it took a while for you last time, fingers crossed it will be a totally different experience this time!

What happened to the theory that second babys always come sooner than first babys?! Went into labour with my daughter at 40+3 which is what I am at today and there is no sign of anything happening!

Good luck on the induction sunflower - I called up this morning told there was no room. I inisisted on going in for monitoring and they gave me a sweep (after a 2 hour wait) even then they were a bit like 'why are you here' so annoying, am 13 days over and I've been sent home as they have no room, there are about 5 people in front of me in the 'induction queue' seems unlikely I'll go in today. Just gonna try and have a nap now over being pissed off. If this happens tomorrow I will be more insistent about seeing a consultant. I was told it would be unlikely that I would get sent home and to be quite honest I am shocked!

oneconfusedchick that's terrible! Sorry to hear you've had such a rubbish time, can't imagine how disappointing it must be to be told you can't be induced after mentally preparing for it! Flowers

Wow that's awful oneconfusedchick you need my hubby with you. He is like a Rottweiler. We are thinking about just going in on Wednesday when I will be 41 +1 but worried that the junior doctors strike might stall us in some way
