prufrock - hello!!! glad things are lovely and fluffy with you. Cant wait to be there as well, but at the same time very scared.

georgina - are you ok?????

Where are you twiglett - being waited on hand and foot i hope

prufrock · 08/05/2004 17:27

Welcome home. Hurry up and type....
Glad you decided to ignore the grandparents and stick to Maddy

Egypt · 08/05/2004 17:28

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH TWIGLETT!!!! How spooky - our messages crossed! You're back!!!!!!

How was it - will check childbirth thread - so great to hear from you

Bozza · 08/05/2004 17:29

Great to have you back twiglett and glad to see you stuck to your guns with the name Maddie. Is she gorgeous? Bet she is! Will find your other thread in a minute.

And thanks for the positive vibes prufrock - just what I need to hear. Took DS to the garden centre and cafe. He slept for 10 minutes on the way there, then I bought him a piece of chocolate cake and then he went hyper running round out of control and bashing into people. It was awful. Didn't buy anything but there were long queues at all the checkouts and I had a right job squeezing me and DS out.

Bozza · 08/05/2004 17:30

This thread is getting verrry popular....

libb · 08/05/2004 17:30

Hi Twiglett and Prufrock - nice to see you both back! As you can see there is stuff all going on here - maybe Spots or Vivat are finally preoccupied though?

I will read the other thread now, take it easy!

Egypt · 08/05/2004 17:36

The whole world is on the net - or are we just all too excited ?

spots and vivaaaaat? cooooeeeee?

GeorginaA · 08/05/2004 18:02

Twiglett! Great to have you "back" Go and start a May babies thread with Prufrock and the rest of us promise to catch you up soon

I'm fine, thanks for asking Egypt - just sooooo tired. Ds has been on major hyperactive mode today, and although I've been sat or lying down in one place while watching him, I think he's sapped all my energy! So reassuring prufrock's comment that 2 children are actually easier than being heavily pregnant with one!

The prostin will work, I will have a wonderful labour and a beautiful angel baby in less than 2 days

oh I'm still here absolutely, have changed my mind about having a baby. I've got a big hanky clamped to my face and in no fit state to get busy with anything as inconvenient as labour. Also might get in the way of my now-rigid sleep regime, yes agree G. & E. that many naps is oh so good... in fact have spare mattress set up in living room for impromptu daytime kips! (or 6am lying on left side watching tv)

We just went for our saturday trip to local caravan park!! just out of curiosity, pretending to be residents. They actually have vg swimming pool and gym so worth knowing about. Lots of pongy smokers in the diner tho' - fairly ruined my tomato sauce flavoured crisps.

Libb I have invisible braxton hicks too. It's very boring isn't it?

Egypt how lovely to have a july weekend to look forward to... Devon will be so lovely.... quite envious! I am holiday hungry. Planning some sort of up-north trek ... unless our appetite for local caravan site turns out to last till august...

GeorginaA · 08/05/2004 18:59

I've changed my mind about having a baby too. Ds is really excited about going on his "holiday" tomorrow to his cousins. I want to swap places - can I be three and not understand anything that's going on please?!

spots · 08/05/2004 19:17

Oh G. are you getting that horrible just-before-something-big -happens feeling? I always want to be 3 just before something big happens. What are you going to spend tomorrow doing?

by the way Egypt I hope i didn't see you mention painting your bathroom? you have done enough decorating already, hearme? Enough!!

GeorginaA · 08/05/2004 19:22

Yes

Dh is taking ds up to his cousins tomorrow at around 9am - it's a three hour journey so he probably won't be back until 3-4pm so I'll have most of the day completely alone. I'm sure I'm going to bawl my eyes out when saying goodbye to ds - end of an era type stuff.

Haven't made any plans for tomorrow. Thought I'd have a long decadent soak in the bath first thing but hadn't really thought beyond that. Finally pack the damn hospital bag probably!! I also really need to read the tens machine leaflet before the contractions start...

Bozza · 08/05/2004 19:48

Oh Georgina - I guess it might feel a bit lonely tomorrow. I'm sure if you come on here tomorrow somebody will be around though. Might not be me because DH has discovered I've had his laptop on for 10 hours and is moaning about it overheating....

Egypt · 08/05/2004 20:55

is anyone about???????? advice quick! Just went to loo, wearing think pany liner, and the thing is damp. around the edge of the dampness is a pinky tinge. what's this???? its surely not a show - not thick or mucus like at all? midwife did say that waters can go (when she came here a week ago) and be a tiny trickle - hardly noticible on a pad, and can be pinkish in colour. am panicking - arrrgh! is anyone about?

spots · 09/05/2004 06:39

Looks like we might have a sudden babby snap o n this thread! Egypt hope you can keep us posted during today... I'll certainly be checking in to see how you're doing....also didn't Snowbird say she was also due to be induced on the 10th? are you still around Snowbird? and judd and redfiasco, any news?

for my own part... think I might clean the windows today... nowt to report.

GeorginaA · 09/05/2004 08:12

As it's all gone quiet are we supposed to be checking the childbirth threads for Egypt's announcement?! How exciting! Snowbird, are you okay - haven't heard from you in a while?

45 mins until my (current) baby boy gets "sent away" to his cousins. sniffle. I feel horrible sending him away, it feels like I'm pushing him out ready to replace him tomorrow

vivat · 09/05/2004 10:29

Egypt - sounds interesting, can't wait to hear your news.... Nothing at all happening here, had curry last night and pineapple for breakfast. Still can't face the rasperry tea though.

Enjoy your day Georgina, it may be the last on your own for some time !

GeorginaA · 09/05/2004 10:39

You can get Raspberry Leaf capsules from Holland & Barratt rather than the tea (I chickened out from actually drinking the stuff too...) - they are a bit horse-pillish though!!

Yes, getting more into the swing of today. I've had a long soak in the bath, just going to throw some more things in the hospital bag and then was contemplating popping down to Tescos to choose my "Last Lunch"

Currently on the shopping list: frozen roast dinner, chocolate eclairs, toffee creme haagen dazs... is there anything else I should indulge in today?

libb · 09/05/2004 12:42

GeorginaA, think of this afternoon when you get DP all to yourself once he's back! Why not allow yourself a white wine spritzer or something as a treat?

Well, my sonny boy is due today but I feel the same as always . . . . looks like some housework for me too Spots!

snowbird · 09/05/2004 12:43

Hello yes I'm still here.
Egypt-Hope you are ok?
Twiglett-lovely to hear from you, will check out other threadin a minute.
At the moment I'm like a woman possessed running round making sure everything is done. Finally got round to packing my bag, nothing like leaving it to the last minute!
Georgina-ds is off to my PILs later. I know what you mean about 'end of an era'. Next time he sleeps at home he won't be the baby anymore
I woke up this morning at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep, started thinking of tomorrow. In my ideal world there is a bed ready for me, so by 8am I've had my first lot of prostin, it works straight away, I have the baby by midday and home by 6pm. Well I'm allowed to dream aren't I?

libb · 09/05/2004 12:45

I forgot to say, Egypt please keep us updated won't you? I am very excited for you! (and a little jealous . . .)

GeorginaA · 09/05/2004 12:56

snowbird: I have the same dream! Except I've been slightly more "realistic" and planned baby to be out by 1pm and home by 7pm

snowbird · 09/05/2004 13:08

Georgina - Lol
Not quite sure if I'll get chance to post again today, so in case I don't... the very best of luck for tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you. Can't wait to read about your nice quick easy labour
And good luck to everyone else.
Take care everyone.
Snowbird xx

libb · 09/05/2004 13:12

Good luck to you too Snowbird - hope it all goes well and that you post soon to let us know how it went!

Lots of Love xx
