Due Monday but inducing Thursday as I'm apparently giving birth to a weeble and they're concerned about shoulder dystocia. Was a week late with ds but as it was February I didn't really care!!!

Kazriina · 24/07/2012 16:48

Well guys if it's any consolation I had nothing no show, no pains & then it just started! They will arrive soon, I can feel it in my waters!! Xx

Cheekychops84 · 24/07/2012 18:19

Lol thanks kazriina ! Xx

jasmin27 · 24/07/2012 18:56

Hi, can I please join, I'm 39+2 weeks. Dd was over 2 weeks early so was really expecting the same this time. but no luck, and the last 2 weeks have dragged. I've been getting period like pains most days on and off for well over a week now and lots of discharge (TMI). Is this a sign things are moving in the right direction?

AwwABaby · 24/07/2012 22:52

Cheeky had an attempted sweep this morning but it was a fail she said cervix starting to open & I can almost get access but she didnt want to push it any further. It was uncomfortable & a little painful but its not that bad defo bearable. Just wanted to let u know as I know u av one thursday & u were worried x not too bad dont worry x

NauseousKitty · 25/07/2012 00:08

I am pleased to report that my DD Daphne was born at this afternoon so I don't have another 24 hour pessary induction to face :)

Not so pleased to report that I only went in as I started bleeding and it was still a hormone drip induction. I disgraced myself in every way possible - but thanks to the wonder of pethadine (sp?) I didn't care!

Can't take my eyes of her :). Good luck eVeryone else, hope your gorgeous bumps pop soon!

Stinkyminkymoo · 25/07/2012 10:17

Congrats on all this who have popped!!

I'm 37+4 and I'm fed up already! My feet are massive, my hands don't work very well and I'm knackered!! I can't wait 2 weeks let alone more!! Grin

Pootle78 · 25/07/2012 10:21

Yay Kitty - congratulations on the safe arrival of Daphne!

Don't think it'll be me next, or if it is, this one is going to wait 30 mins before I'm due to be induced (23 hours to go!)

Cheekychops84 · 25/07/2012 13:47

Pootle swap with me pleeeeeeeease I want to b induced ! I'm sat here nearly crying I'm so tired , kids are bored stiff , can't go anywhere or do anything :'(

SoozyWoozy · 25/07/2012 17:18

I was just about to start a similar thread...

40+5. If I get one more text "No news? :o(" I might scream. Argh. If it was a text saying "hang in there, you're doing a grand job" it'd be different. But all the people texting me know that I will text them once baby has arrived.

I'm trying the homeopathic stuff now. Osteopath tomorrow and booking another session with reflexologist. I do NOT want to be induced!

Cheekychops84 · 25/07/2012 18:37

Hi Suzy woozy ! Luckily im not having many txts but I'm sure I will eventually! I'm due Saturday and I'm totally and utterly miserable :( but when she is here and keeping me up all night I may think different hahahaha but seriously I will b induced for you if u like : D have u had any signs at all?

SoozyWoozy · 25/07/2012 18:52

No, nothing really. I've had painful Braxton Hicks for a few weeks now. Problem is my baby is OP so I really need to get it to swing around a bit before any serious action will happen. Well, that's my theory!

Cheekychops84 · 25/07/2012 19:55

Sorry what does OP mean? Braxton hicks is a good sign! How many a say have u had I get about 2 uncomfortable ones a day

Cheekychops84 · 25/07/2012 19:56

Meant DAY not say

SoozyWoozy · 25/07/2012 20:35

OP - Occipito-Posterior. Back to back - so baby is laying with all the limbs poking out my tummy :)

Lots of Braxton Hicks, they can get quite frequent / regular and then stop for a few hours. I had a sweep yesterday and my cervix hasn't been changed by them :( This is my 4th baby though, so hopefully my body will remember what to do!!

Cheekychops84 · 25/07/2012 21:05

Oh Suzy poor you I have a sweep coming up soon I'm getting nervous now going therough the hurry up I'm ready then the oh actually I dnt wanna I'm scared ha ha it's my third y am I scared?? Silly me!

Hi stinkyminkymoo sorry missed ur post! Yea the big swollen hands thing ! I keep dropping everything so annoying !!!

farmerswifey · 26/07/2012 04:15

Hello everyone, please may I join?
It's 4am and I've been awake for the past two hours. Baby is 39weeks and 3 days and I'm impatient, uncomfortable and look like a small heffalump. Alas no real symptoms apart from huge amounts of pressure in my lower abdomen and increased trips to the loo. I just want my baby now please...

Hope everyone else is fast asleep at this unearthly hour xx

Pootle78 · 26/07/2012 07:25

Well today's the day, still no signs so induction it is :(

Hopefully have a better reaction than Kitty

See you on the other side!!!

Cheekychops84 · 26/07/2012 09:16

Hi farmers wifey I feel your pain I'm 39+5 now and I don't think she is ever coming ! I feel totally miserable I don't want to go out as everything I wear just looks awful and it's been so nice tried to sit at the park with kids yesterday but as she is right under my ribs I can't sit upright and it really hurts :( I'm so bored and nearly in tears now I jus want my body back before I put more weight on!

Cheekychops84 · 26/07/2012 09:17

Good luck Pootle ! see u soon I hope xx

farmerswifey · 26/07/2012 13:30

Ooh Cheekychops I feel completely the same! I had a good old cry this morning because nothing fits and everything I put on just look ridiculous. A HUGE stretch mark seems to have formed over night (I had none until yesterday and thought I'd got away with it) I'm sure if I'm pregnant any longer I will just be covered in the darn things. Hope your little one moves down so you can be a bit more comfortable, that must be rubbish!

Best of luck Pootle Hope all goes super smoothly and you have your baby before the day is out.
