BFP..........Grin

I'm at that stage again. Not getting too excited just yet. It's still early days. Very early...
Only just 4 weeks.

Not sure what to do regarding treatments. I have to go to clinic on Tuesday. I don't think they will be too happy as I have stopped the treatment they had put me on (hence the BFP).

Not sure what's going to happen.

Congrats oinker and welcome!

Arabica - wheyhey. Really pleased that they got the results through to you before the weekend. Really fab fab fab.

slink - love the epsom squits!

Have come down with nasty chest infection so am on steroids and antibs again. Really really don't need this as am off to Portsmouth on Monday for dh's next operation - so lots of driving and hanging around hospital etc. Fingers crossed the antibs are working by then. Also have dd1's bf coming for a sleepover - dh is being a star though so whilst I feel sorry for myself I am being pampered Grin.

slinkstah · 25/03/2006 18:07

petunia- what are you doing in sunny luffbra?? did you go to the fab shop home bargains??

oinker- left message in chat thread for you too :) am so happy you have decided to join us - only CH to go :)

wills- now you have a chest infection, you should take the next fortnight off work until your maternity leave. you are not superwoman ya know!!

i went shopping today and forced myself to buy a few baby grows and a teddy, i do not want to jinx it, and remember shopping in same mothercare last time so was a bit sad.

Wills · 25/03/2006 18:29

Watching you all start to get ready ahead of me is making me realise how silly I'm being. DH had planned a trip to Harlow today and thought we'd pop into Mothercare but I wanted to wait until post 34.

Like the idea of 2 weeks off. I'm being stupid as my gp would happily sign me off. I have a new boss that I don't want to let down yet I'm not planning to come back to work so how stupid am I?

petunia · 25/03/2006 19:30

Oinker- congratulations on being able to join us here.

Slinkstah- Luffbra is only 15 minutes from us and we like it because it's not Leicester (which is a bit grim in bits!) Do you mean the bargain Home shop next to the Market? I did go in there and got a few bits for DDs for Easter. Not getting them too much chocolate from us this year, they'll get tons from everybody else!

Wills- hope you feel better soon. Should think the antibiotics will start working by Monday. I think I've found they usually start working after 2-3 days.

slinkstah · 25/03/2006 20:25

wills - maybe im shopping too earlyGrin

petunia - i used to live in loughborough, my family are all from there so i visit often:) yeah i mean the shop at the top of the market its fab loadsa bargains! Do you live in one of the villages?
maybe we should have a mini meet in luffbra before we drop, theres others from leicestershire too:)

petunia · 25/03/2006 21:58

Slink- I live in Leicester, right at the end of the M69 near the M1 junction (as you pass the Leicester Forest East services, look to the right, that's the housing estate we live on!) DH used to work opposite the Harvester Restaurant (where we ended up today!) on the road in off the M1.

Arabica · 26/03/2006 10:57

Happy mother's day everyone, hope you are all being spoiled rotten (I'm not so far as DH is asleep and DS is felt-penning in the living room. Congratulations Oinker!
MrsMaddyD, hope the time passes quickly for you until Tuesday.
Amnio over, I finally allowed myself to check out the new baby shop that's opened locally (that's a shop for baby goods not a shop where you can buy babies!) Still couldn't bring myself to buy anything, not even the tiniest organic cotton sleepsuit. Maybe next month.
Am getting swollen ankles already! Anyone else?

petunia · 26/03/2006 11:12

Arabica- Know what you mean about buying things. I kind of feel bad that I've not bought anything for this baby apart from a soft toy. I've got loads of stuff left over from DDs but I'd like to buy a little outfit just for this baby. It just feels like I'm jinxing the pregnancy if I do though! As for swollen ankles, yes got those. Don't think it helped being on my feet a lot yesterday. Ankles are like tree trunks, even my toes are like cocktail sausages! Anyway it's an excuse to put our feet up. It is Mother's Day after all!

mygirllolipop · 26/03/2006 12:18

Morning, Happy Mothers Day all.
arabica- great news
congrats oinker, I wish you all the best sweetie.

slinkstah · 26/03/2006 12:44

happy mums day everyone:) i haven't got my kids today as they are at their bio dads ! timing eh?

petunia- i will wave at ya when i pass next time i visit:) that harvester is lovely, i used to live not far from there.

cori · 26/03/2006 16:56

HI everyone,
Have had a lovely mothersday. DH and DS bought me a very pretty topaz bracelet and matching earings. We had lunch and went on a canal boat ride in Greenford.
Wills, Slinkstah,Arabica I have CATed you about our meetup on the 12th. Snowdrops , would you like to come too? I tried to CAT you but have set your preferences not to recieve messages from MN.

HELP!!!! Had MIL and dhs cousin etc over for my mothers Day...driving me mental!!!!!!!!

Got to go, will report all later....Angry

desperatehousewife · 26/03/2006 19:59

hello all, happy mothers day...

Am hopefully 8 weeks tomorrow and have my first consultant appointment. Think I will probably ask for extra scans this time round to put my mind at rest... Feel as sick as a parrot (seem to be feeling progressively sick with each pregnancy..grrr). Hits me in the evening just at DS bedtime which is irritating.

Hope everyone is ok
DHW

slinkstah · 26/03/2006 20:09

my kids bio dad has broke down on motorway and has basically told me that he is getting towed back to his house and will not bring kids home:( he would not consider any other options because he needs his car tommorrow!
WELL I NEED MY EFFING KIDS!!!

i have sent DP out to try and find them and bring them home they are over an hour away so won't see them till late. DP has no insurance or MOT on car and car is a nail - it needs scrapping:(

it was bad enough not having my kids on mothers day until the evening but now not all:( am depressed.

slinkstah · 26/03/2006 20:57

dp found them, they are on their way home. the stupid arse of an xp did not even feed the kids, all they have had since lunch is a chocolate bar! poor things are staving, have told dp to stop at macD's on way home.
i really don't trust xp with the kids, he is so unreasonable too. Its his way or the highway type of attitude, and if i don't agree he threatens me with court and stuff! total w***kerAngry

Wills · 26/03/2006 22:06

Oh slink honey. Loads of hugs. At least I'm not the only one to have had a really crappy day. Am feeling like shit and dh is in a foul mood - has been all day. Its because of tomorrow but honestly I've done my best. He's hardly lifted a finger and resented everything I've asked him to do. At the moment he resents the baby because its causing him extra responsibility etc. I know its because of his op tomorrow but its been shit. Add to that two kids that are blooming tired because of a sleepover yesterday night and the fact that they're picking up our tension and you have non stop tantrum and tears. Lovely! This is one Mother's day not worth remembering!

cori · 26/03/2006 22:16

Slinkstah and Wills, sorry you two have had a bad day. Try and take it easy tomorow if you can. Good luck to your DH Wills. Hope the operation is a success. (sorry dont what condition he is suffering from)

DHW, good luck with your appointment tomorrow. It is good that you are getting to see a consultant so early on, I am sure they will take good care of you. I had loads of extra scans this pregnancy. Weekly from 12 weeks-20 weeks and fortnightly consultant appointments, it really did help. No matter how worried it was never more than a couple of days til the next scan.

Hi everyone else!

slinkstah · 27/03/2006 08:09

hiya all:)

wills- sounds like you had a nightmare day too, hope today goes well for you and dp:)

my ds was really upset last night that there was no time to give me his card etc as they got home very late. (bless him he was more bothered than me)

but this morning was woken up with breakfast in bed and 4 wonderful homemade cards:)

HellKat · 27/03/2006 08:16

Awwwwwwwwwww bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Little sweety pies!

Forgot to say lol baby is now officially moving & kicking! Started last week and getting stronger by the day. Still dainty nudges as opposed to hefty kicks but a few more weeks and that'll change Grin

oinker · 27/03/2006 08:25

Great news HK.

I can't wait for that expereince. Early days yet though. Smile
of to see GP today for a confirmation. Dreading the clinic tomorrow. Who knows how they will react when I tell them. They won't be happy that I stopped the trial. [nervous] Too late. Wink
Whats the worst they can do.......throw me out!!!
