Good luck for Thursday we'll all be thinking of you, keep us informed or we'll ahve to hunt you down Grin

desperatehousewife · 14/03/2006 18:29

Grin scary lot!

mygirllolipop · 15/03/2006 09:39

Diddle -stop that right now! Put it down and back away from the chocolate!
What hope have I got, I'm already feeling the hunger and only 5 + 2! Which brings me to say that I am very nervous as this is the time I started bleeding with the MC.
DHW - good luck with the scan.

FirstNikki · 15/03/2006 09:45

Just popping in:

Mygirl - best of luck with this milestone I am sure you will be fine and don't worry limit the choc for a bar a day they can't be wrong can it?? (Thats not a HUGE bar though! Wink)

Glad to see you are all doing ok xx

mygirllolipop · 15/03/2006 09:47

Thanks Nikki, I'm on constant knicker watch (and have been for 2 weeks!) but last time it was 8.30-9am when it started and I know this is silly but it's past that time. If I get get through today I might think this pg might continue.

diddle · 15/03/2006 09:49

mygirl - thanks, didn't work though, the hob nobs are already out Grin

off to soft play this morning, so don't get chatting too much or i'll never catch up.

Arabica · 15/03/2006 09:52

Hi everyone. 20 wks today. Am getting really nervous about my scan on Friday (half convinced it'll be bad news), and getting really cross with myself for having such negative thoughts all the time. Not really feeling movement, I want a big fat kick to reassure me...

cori · 15/03/2006 09:57

I have promised myself that I will only snack on fruit today.

Good luck with scan tomorrow Arabica, am still paranoid about movement and I am 33 weeks.

OP posts:
mygirllolipop · 15/03/2006 10:14

Arabica -I'm sure the scan wil be fine, good luck.

Arabica · 15/03/2006 10:25

thank you, am trying to stay positive. It always helps if I get out of the house, so I am off to the park with a friend.

Wills · 15/03/2006 10:36

Oh diddle me too! Currently very into chocolate muffins and pain aux raisins and for the last two days have been desperate to anything in sight.

Well I have good news and bad. The good news is that my grievance hearing went well yesterday so step 1 is good (they agreed that my boss sexual discriminated against me etc). The next bit of news is that dh's results are back but inconclusive i.e they were cancerous but not the worst type so he's got to go back for more ops to have another look! Then down in the dumps news was that I had a bleed last night Sad. Very very small and I suspect a tear down below rather than anything to do with baby (sorry if tmi). Got dh to have a look and he found a small cut. I have NO idea how that happened and am praying that's what it is.

Have just had my pain aux raisin but it wasn't enough. Want more.

Wills · 15/03/2006 10:37

Arabica - what time is your scan?

mygirllolipop · 15/03/2006 10:44

Oh wills, good news with the hearing. So sorry to hear about DH's cancer though. Good luck for the next tests and let's hope the treatment is successful. If DH found a cut I'd try not to worry about the bleed but if you are worried you know the Dr's etc are there for you.

wools · 15/03/2006 11:22

Good morning everyone.

Wills I'm so sorry to hear about your dh but glad that it's not the worst kind. Awful though, when it's inconclusive you are left hanging there waiting for more information. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about the bleed - it does look like you have found the reason for it.

MGP - I don't think that's silly at all - you've reached an important milestone.

Mind you, I'm exactly the same as you - keep checking for blood every single time I go to the loo - I think this will keep up all the way through if I'm lucky enough to get that far.

mrsmaddyd · 15/03/2006 11:31

Just thought id pop in and say hi to you all and let you know i am still pregnant thank god. Nearly 16 weeks now. I havnt been on really as dont want to get too caught up in pregnancy and baby talk as so worried that all is not well. Nothing has happened im just a worrier after past experiences which i know you can all rleate too.

Anyway im having my 12 week scan 5 weeks late next tue so hopefully all will be well and i can start believing that i am actually pregnant.

Diddle hope you and Lottie are blooming.xxxxxx

Take Care Everyone

mygirllolipop · 15/03/2006 11:35

Maddy - that's a long time to wait for your 12 wk scan, hope all goes well, I'm sure it will.
Thanks wools, for being a compulsive knocker checker too!

Boopert · 15/03/2006 12:31

So is anyone else having a down day? Not sure why, just feel quite teary and low.
Got pain in my back and legs, thought i was having a heart attack this morning til i burped like never before Blush (actually sooo loud even my son looked shocked) and my piles are throbbing (tmi?)

Baby is kicking nicely and everything seems ok but just can't shift these blues....

Ok, enough of that. How is everyone?

Arabica · 15/03/2006 13:13

My scan's on Friday at 10 and then I have a consultant appt at 10.30 (which everyone who's had a c-section has to have) I think it's where I can discuss birth options. If scan goes OK I'll be too happy to care which way baby comes out so probably find myself agreeing to try a VBAC with no pain relief--a decision I am sure to reverse as soon as I feel normal again.
Am so sorry to hear about the cancer Wills. And the bleeding, too. Although if it's a cut that would explain it.
Boopert, I WAS having a bad day but the park worked wonders, it's a lovely spring day and teh flowers are beginning to come out.

Boopert · 15/03/2006 13:20

Wills, i'm sure the bleed was from a cut. When i bled to me it was a lot but the drs looked and said it was only a little but if you are concerned give them a ring. (Says she that thought she was gonna pass out earlier but didn't want to bother them....) And sorry about dh, will keep fingers crossed for you both.

Arabica, let me know how you get on, any consolation i've got mine next Tues and worrying. And didn't have triple test so got all sorts running thru my mind. But i'm a natural born worrier.....I'm sure it will be good news.

Arabica · 15/03/2006 13:28

Yes am feeling a bit better because (a) been out in park and (b) have felt the baby move a little bit. Must have been my large lunch that did the trick!
Don't forget to measure your bump!

Boopert · 15/03/2006 13:29

Doing it now! Well, now as in when i can be bothered to have a wee....

Arabica · 15/03/2006 13:32

Measuring your bump? What's she on about? It's something I saw the Due in July girls are doing. You measure all around the widest part of your stomach, over the bump, with loo paper. I'm 7 and a half squares! Grin

Boopert · 15/03/2006 13:46

Yeah, just measured. 9and a half squares. Does it matter on the loo roll? Grin
And whats who on about?

mrsmaddyd · 15/03/2006 14:20

My girl i was being choosy about my hospital not that you get a choice but i was insistent i went to the same one i usually go to which i am now out of catchment. Anyway they are taking me now, hence why scan is so late.Smile

slinkstah · 15/03/2006 14:51

arabica- good luck for the scan:)

wills- i have had a tear down there too and it bled, no idea how it happened either, im blaming it on hormones. and sorry to hear about dh you must be really worried.

The low risk midwife called me and today and told me there was bob hope of me transfering to her care for a homebirth. i argued that if i went to term could i not transfer late and she said it doesn't work like that:( so hospital birth it is, i am slightly upset as i don't think i will cope very well giving birth again in a similar enviroment as last time, it will bring back so much pain, i feel sick thinking about it. i am really stupid as all i really want is a alive baby so i shouldn't be worrying about where he comes out. she did suggest an independant midwife but i don't think thats an option financially at the moment.

i will try the loo paper thing next time im in the looGrin
