FirstNikki, so sorry. Sad Hope to see you back here when you are ready. We went away after my ERPC. It really helped. So did drinking Champagne.

wools · 28/02/2006 17:42

Nikki - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

Wills · 28/02/2006 19:10

Oh Nikki I'm so sorry honey.

HellKat · 01/03/2006 06:50

Morning all.
Nikki- Good luck today hun. I'll be thinking of you this afternoon. xxx

Anyone else noticed (or is it just me) how many women are having missed mc, mc etc? I don't think I've ever seen so so many. Must admit, there is a tiny part of me that wonders if it's a sign so as positive as I've been, there's a teeny weeny part of me expecting bad news when i get the heartbeat checked on Friday. Mind you until I actually get to hold my baby, I think i'll always have worries and doubts in my head lol.

wools · 01/03/2006 08:21

Good morning all...

HK I was thinking exactly the same - or is it that we are much more aware of it as we've all had miscarriages before? It takes away a lot of the excitement of being pregnant....I hope that all our anxieties will ease with time.

HellKat · 01/03/2006 08:27

I don't think so. Just think it's an unnaturally high number. I don't ever remember seeing this many women going through it. Every day seems to be another Sad post.

HellKat · 01/03/2006 08:27

I just think we're all incredibly lucky at the mo. Long may it continue too.

spub · 01/03/2006 08:52

FirstNikki - thinking of you today. Hope it all goes as well as possible. Look after and spoil yourself and don't forget to keep in touch.

HK - think the innocence of pg has been lost to all of us but we are really the lucky ones now that we are pregnant again. Yes, it's worrying and scary but think of some of our mates still on the ttc after m/c thread. I know that we'd far rather have these worries to do with being pg than still ttc. We all deserve to have those happy, healthy babies and most of us are edging that bit closer every day! Hope hearing the heartbeat again reassures you. This boy of mine is a real martial arts expert so I'm comforted by the amount of movement even if it's keeping me awake!!

HellKat · 01/03/2006 08:54

That's what I'm looking forward to Spub. feeling "her" move. Then I know everything's ok.

spub · 01/03/2006 09:38

HK - how much movement are you getting just now? I feel like I should know this so apologies but how many weeks are you?

HellKat · 01/03/2006 09:41

I'll be 12 wks on Friday but have felt the occasional "bubbling". I felt ds1 & 2 pretty early.

spub · 01/03/2006 09:51

HK - I'm now 22 weeks with number 2 and it's only truly in the last couple of weeks that i've felt definite movement. I think I had some flutterings from around 15 weeks. Hope you're going to raise a wee glass of something on Friday to celebrate the 12 week mark?
Is there a particular week of pg that worries you? with me, it was 7 weeks as I bled then with dd (all ok) and with the baby that I miscarried - obviously not ok.

HellKat · 01/03/2006 09:53

Can't stomach booze at all lol. Mainly the early weeks were worrying but I feel 100% relaxed until I feel defintite kicks etc.

FirstNikki · 01/03/2006 10:00

Morning ladies,

Just quickly thanks for the thoughts it happened naturally last night so no need for erpc today. Went hospital last night and got all checked.

Re lots of post re mc I felt this too but as been said on here you are pg and thats a nice place to be. My mother and mil said in their day cos they waited until 3months before going to drs they didn't know sometimes that they were particularly pg or lost and this may also be another reason with all the tests available now a days we know so much earlier.

For all of you lots of SmileSmileSmile's and wish you all healthy pg's. xxx

slinkstah · 01/03/2006 11:46

HK- your right, it has been 1 mc after another for a while now, its so sad. maybe its the time of year, i mean more babies are born in certain months than other months, maybe more mc occur in certain months than other months too.
im really happy you'll be 12 weeks on friday.

how many weeks past everyones last mc in this pg did anyone start chilling a bit?

i am just past my milestone by 6 days(thanks to the cervix stitch) but every contraction i have i think its the start of labour, and every time i go loo and assume the bleeding after the OP has got my waters in it etc. i think the panic has got worse for me.
although i am feeling lucky today because i am 23.6 and that means that even if i was to go into labour right now baby would be born at 24 weeks which would mean they would resusitate and give him a chance:) 40% chance at 24 weeks. 4 more weeks until theres a 90% chance.

FN- i hope last night wasn't too traumatic for you, i know if it happens naturally you have to see etc im glad you've had your mum with you. hope your body gets back to normal asap for you[hugs] take care xx

HellKat · 01/03/2006 11:54

Nikki- Good to see you hun. Take it easy, and be kind to yourself. As I said before, the decision was taken out of your hands. Lots of love to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Slink- Ohhh bet you're counting down those next 4 weeks. You'll get there hun (even if it'll probably drag). Make sure you're resting.
I thought I'd be ok after 8 wks (every mc was before then) but I'm still as nervous. This backache seems to have turned into period type pain this morning which does'nt help. Dp's not happy with me lol keeps saying " Stop being so negative!! It's going through to the baby". I'd love to have his outlook! Would be a far less stressfull pg I tell ya! Grin

mygirllolipop · 01/03/2006 16:55

Slink - you must be starting to let out a small sigh of relief at getting to 24 weeks, you will get to 28 weeks and maybe a good few more too. Here's hoping.

Nikki - I have posted on the ttc thread for you (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

diddle · 02/03/2006 08:01

Oh Nikki - so sorry to hear your news, sorry my response is a bit late, have been off mumsnet for a bit. look after yourself.

HK - there is a high number, but that doesn't mean that it will happen to us, this is our turn now, to have happy healthy babies. stay positive, baby will be fine. How are the stomach pains, bet they're just stretching aches, i had those, and still do occassionally.

Slink - Grin congrats on making 24 weeks Grin Hope you're feeling alright today.

HellKat · 02/03/2006 08:05

Morning all.
Diddle- Think it's worse than stretching pains. Looks like I'm going to have to ring the physio. My spd has kicked in and have seriously bad back pain. Hurts to walk, sit, lie everything. Lol really suffering this time around but think of it as the more pain I'm in, at least I know i'm still pg and the worse it gets, it means the pg is progressing Grin

kreamkrackers · 02/03/2006 09:29

slink - congratulations on making it to 24 weeks :)

hk - i've been worrying about all the numbers of mc's on here too :( i keep thinking about when i finally get to hold my baby, i should be relieved, i will be but i'll also be terrified as dd was 3 days old when we nearly lost her. until a paediatrician has looked the baby over and says whether the baby has a heart murmour or not then i won't be able to relax fully. i don't know how i'd react if the baby did have a heart murmour, i need to speak to the hospital really to see what would happen.

got a break for a couple of days, dd's in respite care, went in late afternoon yesterday and we pick her up tomorrow just after dinner. still woke up early though, i guess it's just habbit. keep waking up in the middle of the night now for a drink and to go to the toilet.

Missmibaby · 02/03/2006 09:52

HK - hope your physio sorts your back pain out. It is really hard not to be nervous. My 1st mc was at 8wks and the second at 12wks. I guess the only thing to do is try and be positive and take each day as it comes. How many wks are you now?
I've got a scan tomorrow - hopefully will see a heartbeat and then I can relax a little and stop spending money on pg tests Grin
