Great news Slink - you sound on top form - you must be delighted to be home although the catheter sounds very uncomfortable - hope you don't have to have it long. Put your feet up and take a well deserved rest.

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 09:38

excellent news slink so pleased the whole experience went well with good care.

Thanks for asking I now have my scan tomo morning 830 as things have got a little worse. I rang hospital this morning at 8am and they had just had cancellation. - lucky for me

HellKat · 27/02/2006 09:39

Nikki- {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}} hun. Thank goodness you don't have to wait too long. Are you ok? Bleeding or pain got worse (or both?)

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 09:46

both, bleeding is....tmi coming up.... bright red and more and clots. Having pains more often too and they are more sharp and intense. belly is going down already or at least less bloatyness and boobs are only tender now. so really believe its just that case of when. must get the fibroid sorted too as this can cause bleeding too I believe. I have since realised (I had forgotten) a friend of mine had a fibroid with her second child but it didn't cause a problem for her.

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 09:46

how are you today HK - have things eased up?

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 09:47

Slink- so pleased you are home, they wouldn't let you out if they didn't think all wouldn't go well.
Fancy Lesley Regan having bad Dr writing tho, tell her you want a proper autograph!
Bless your DP doing all the housework, he looks after you well (he'd better otherwise we'll all be round there!)
I had a catheter when I was in labour with DD1 and DD2 and I can sympathise - it was bloody hoorible and painful. Either we've both got small peepees or they use HUGE catheters!
It's good that your contractions have died down and your waters are still intact. Everyday and every week you keep that bby in is good news, and the registrar sounds positive.
I'm so glad you are not as scared of going into hospital now.
Eat loads of veg because you'll need B vitamins as well as iron.
Still thinking of you and sending you (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))

HellKat · 27/02/2006 09:51

Definitely sounds like your body's doing what it's meant to in a situation like this. Have you got a Poundland near your work? If so, grab a 5 pack of heat pads. They're wonderful! Very discreet, heat up in seconds and last for hours. You can bung one on your back and one on your front.
{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} it truly is a horrid ending hun. Here's hoping they can get you sorted, get the fibroid taken care of then you'll be in tip top shape to ttc again.
xxxxxxxxxxx

I'm great thanks hun. Still horrendously shattered. Have'nt bled now for over a month!!!! I've got to book in with the physio though because my spd came back and I've got chronic back pain (that's why those heat packs are amazing, they work lol).,

FirstNikki · 27/02/2006 09:56

great idea I will go looking for a poundland thanks

great news about no bleeding but sorry about spd though but glad you getting it treated. hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble.

HellKat · 27/02/2006 09:59

They are the cheapest I've found and work fantastically. I used them when my endo was bad too.
I'd quite happily spend the next few months feeling like shite 24/7 if it means I'll end up with a healthy babba. (ideally I'd love a perfect pg too lol) but as long as there's a happy outcome, I'll be contented to put up with the pain Grin

Missmibaby · 27/02/2006 10:18

I did another test and it confirmed that yes I am pg. My previous 2 were mcs. I notice every twinge - anyone got any tips for how to deal with them. I've had terrible back ache which I'm convinced is the start of a mc. Sorry this is all a bit dis-jointed. Trying hard to get excited and take each day as it comes.
Hope every is manageing to stay warm - it's COLD!!! Better get on with some work. Speak soon.

HellKat · 27/02/2006 10:20

Miss- I still check for bleeding everytime I go to the loo (especially after spending the first few wks bleeding) and I try not to panic over twinge. It is difficult but each day is a day nearer to reaching your due date. x

slinkstah · 27/02/2006 12:28

afternoon everyone,

glad you've had your scan bought forward FN

congratulations missmibaby:)

glad you've not had bleeding for a while HK, spd must be horrible though.

Can't belive what happened this weekend, kinda sinking in that things went a bit wrong at the exact time last baby died. I am 23.4 today though so thats great. Am sore down there[blush bleeding is [tmi] light colour and watery- hopefully thats normal.
have got appointment with prof on friday so if i make it to that i will start chilling:)
i must tell the last few people i am pg, just incase i have baby early.

Arabica · 27/02/2006 12:40

Missmibaby, congratulations and hope the backache is just a twinge. I have had loads and loads of twinges in various places throughout this pg but so far so good.
Slink, glad you're home, take care.
FirstNikki, thinking of you having your scan
Sorry about the spd, it sounds excruciating.
I can't stop eating Cadbury's mini-eggs. Someone please take them away from me. My pg jeans are getting too tight around the thighs!

slinkstah · 27/02/2006 13:49

omg have just read my notes from the hospital and it says i was 1cm dialated before op! thank god i got the stitch that day. It also says large cystocele Blush read what that means on internet and it means bladder prolapse:( im falling apart and im only 28.

mygirllolipop · 27/02/2006 14:24

Slink glad to hear your recvery is going well, don't worry I'm sure I'm falling apart too and I'm only 23 so God knows what I'll be like in five years! I'll have more than a prolapsed bladder, I'll be giving birth to it!

Snips · 27/02/2006 19:44

Slink-so glad all went well. Take it as easy as poss for the next 5 weeks at least. I can't believe the 1cm dilated in your notes..thank god you didn't know at the time.

Take care-you seem to have great support ant helps a lot.

x

cori · 27/02/2006 20:12

wow slink, close call. I agree with snips, I would be tempted to put myself on bedrest until after 28 weeks. But then I am a lazy sod Grin and its cold outside. See what the consultant thinks.
