Would Slink be out today or is it an overnight thing? Might they want to keep an eye on things 'til tomorrow.
Hope she's OK.

jamiesam · 25/02/2006 21:47

Just caught up slinkstah - do hope everything has gone well today.

slinkstah · 25/02/2006 22:49

hi all thanks for your messages. The op went well and i am on the labou ward still. Have a pressure pack up there and a cathater too which is killing me. An getting a few contractions but i don't think it's labour. Lesley regan did the op so was in good hands. Am sharing a room with another girl in the high dependancy room like place. The food was unexpectedly nice if alks well tomorrow i can go home so fingers crossed.

So glad you're doing well and went with the stitch. Am thinking of you lots and lots. Please rest. Know how hard this is, but do believe the stitch enabled me to have my little boy. When I had my stitch had contractions at the time but still managed to go full termish. Am so with you..hang on in. x

Snips · 26/02/2006 00:07

P.S e-mail address is sneepatel @ hotmail.com if you need it. Can give you my phone number if you need to talk.

HellKat · 26/02/2006 05:59

Whew!!!!!! Breathes sigh of relief. Been thinking of you all night Slink. So glad you're in the best possible care.
Here's hoping pains ease off, stitch does it's job and you can get a few more weeks of being pg.

Arabica · 26/02/2006 12:19

Fantastic news Slinkstah! Am so impressed that Lesley Regan did the op. You couldn't be in safer hands. Glad the food's good too. How are your partner and kids coping? Must have been a shock for them as well.

Wills · 26/02/2006 12:22

Slink that's just fab news. How the heck are you getting onto Mumsnet?

petunia · 26/02/2006 12:37

Wills- She said yesterday she can log on using her 3G phone (whatever one of those does! Sorry not "with it" with this technology at all!)

cori · 26/02/2006 12:39

kreamkrackers · 26/02/2006 14:54

great news slink

keep resting as much as possible. really pleased for you that everything went well.

slinkstah · 26/02/2006 21:42

AM HOME!!!!!!

sorry about typos in my last post- i was on phone and took ages to write, although did give me something to do
thanks everyone for messages.
oinker- lol obout autograph, i do have it all over my notes, can't read the notes she's wrote though (bad dr writing)

snips- thanks hun, its nice to hear about the success of your ds, thanks for your email im sure ill have many questions for you as i go along

arabica- luckily kids were at there biological dads all weekend so timing was great. dp is taking over the work of the house and kids this week, so things are in chaos am thinking about school runs etc might have to put kids in after school club this week.

cori, not sure if i am suppose to be on full bedrest or not but i figured i'd give it a go for the rest of the week to be on safe side.

i did not sleep at all last night due to that blumin catheter- can't belive how painful they are, can't be normal. i figure i must have a small peepee

contractions have died down waters are still intact too so there is good hope. prof said we'll just see about getting you a few more weeks, when i asked about chances of going to term but registrar said 90% so who knows. everydays a bonus

I will not be able to have a nice homebirth now, although am now not too scared of going into the hospital as the midwives are all really nice and the place is only small too. Amazingly i was not left alone for hours midwives popped in and asked whether i needed anything and whether i had pain etc. the registar came round all the time too
the anesitist personally came and checked on me hours after the op and today aswell.

the op was scarey though being pulled and tugged around with no feeling, and i had low BP so felt like i was gonna faint or throw up, luckily i did neither and they gave me something to raise BP. Apparently i bled loads which is why i feel a bit shakey, i must build up my iron again.

sorry for the complete essay, tis nice of you all to share my weekend
how is everyone else and FN hope your feeling ok.

jamiesam · 26/02/2006 21:48

Woo - hoo! Slinkstah, you sound buzzing! So pleased all gone well, great to hear your news.

Arabica · 26/02/2006 21:55

Great you're back home Slink. Take it easy. Homeopathy could help with the after-op recovery. Unfortunately mine has just had a baby so she's no good!

Arabica · 26/02/2006 21:55

By 'mine' I mean my homeopath, of course.
