Oooh snap! I've been eating like there's no tomorrow. I'm thinking I best slow it down or I'll be huge soon.

xx

WidgetWB · 03/10/2011 07:52

I cant slow down I'm just too hungry! Working my bum off exercising to try to stop some of it staying on! If I don't eat I am utterly vile and snapping at everyone and anyone! Its horrid! Gonna be the size of a whale by the time this is over and so didn't want to - three wasted years!

Dozeyland · 03/10/2011 08:49

7 weeks today (claps hands!)

How are you guys getting early scans?

I've got one on the 12th November, but trying to get one earlier as paperwork needed.

Feeling very tired, and dizzy spells. At this point with dd I had horrendous migraines until 8weeks
Fingers crossed they stay away...

I think part of the tiredness is where I am still breastfeeding dd once a night (and in the day)
So maybe she is still taking a lot of goodness from me.

Anyone else still breastfeeding?

I want a bacon sandwich!! I av been trying so hard on cutting down on the fatty things and been ok in this hot weather just eating salads really but now I think I am having withdrawal symptoms! I av still not got rid of the weight from my 1st pregnancy so am trying really hard not to add to it but I have a feeling it's going to be inevitable.
Didn't exercise with my 1st but am going to try with this 1!
always worry i will av another prem baby so just find myself trying to be careful with everything it's so scary even though I know there is nothing I can do at this stage!

alwaysanauntie · 03/10/2011 09:48

Food! I seriously had the hunger last week, but over the weekend I've been getting really hungry but only being able to eat small portions (very rare for me!) But I have found that means I'm just eating more often so probably eating more anyway...

Am hoping not to put on too much weight as I've recently struggled to get it under control so am trying to eat more fruit and veg, although a bacon sarnie does sound good!

BlueCrane · 03/10/2011 10:57

Marmite on toast is my saviour at the moment as it's about the only thing I fancy eating, the thought of any other food just makes me feel sick...but if I don't eat then I get really cranky and irritable Confused feeling really nauseous in the morning too and my upset tum continues...BUT...am so thrilled to be pregnant so trying to 'take it in my stride' and not moan too much except to DH but that's allowed

Anyone else need to go bra shopping? I bought some mat bras last time (before MC) but think they're going to be too tight soon so will have to go and get some different ones if they keep growing...heading towards a 34DD and hoping they don't get too much bigger!!!

Alisonjayjay · 03/10/2011 11:00

I'm going through periods of being really hungry but can't manage a full plate of food cos I start to feel sick. I'm sticking with the little and often rule. Trying not to eat things that are making me feel sick and I find that if I am keeping something in my stomach then I don't feel as bad. I am just eating what I like though and not restricting myself as when I had my DS I lost the weight really quickly because I was breastfeeding, although I piled it all back on when I stopped feeding him lol.

alwaysanauntie · 03/10/2011 12:14

bluecrane I had to bite the bullet last week and go bra shopping, I've gone from 36C to 36DD in the space of a few weeks, and can only assume i'll need more fittings over the next 7 months... I went to john Lewis as didn't hear great things about M&S or Mothercare, lady was lovely and I got 2 non wired bras for $12 (no pound sign on phone!) This was cheapest option, although they're not very sexy they do the job, I figured no point spending a fortune if this is going to be a regular expense & DH will just have to put up with it!

Wommer · 03/10/2011 13:38

Hi all, sorry haven't been around - seem to spend all of my spare time asleep!
7 weeks tomorrow and booking app on weds so beginning to feel like things are actually happening :-)
Lucy - think I was the one people mentioned earlier with the small amount of bleeding? Saw the doc last week and she said it wasn't anything to be worried about as long as it doesn't hurt with it and there's not loads of blood. She said it could well have been implantation related (although I thought that happened earlier) or just to do with everything moving around/stretching/growing.
Just out of interest are there any other recently ex smokers on here? Was nearly at the end of the nicotine patch course when we found out so had to come of it early, have been struggling a bit this past week. Haven't given in but it's sooooooo hard!!!
Xxx

Dozeyland · 03/10/2011 15:43

Wommer - Good on you for not giving in. :)

Has anyone experienced a feeling like you get with AF? Today I've
Felt more tired, dizzy, and have slight nausea. Anything I'm eating isn't
Really helping. Fuzzy head and just feel crap. Also have cramping and a feeling
Like (tmi) like I need to hold my legs together like when you're busrting for a wee?
Is it possible to lose amniotic fluid yet? I know mc is possible but I did feel rough around
Week 7 and 8 with dd, but don't remember the cramping/period feeling when carrying her?

Going to get into the drs tomorrow and get them to give me a check (not sure
What they would do) as my booking in appt isn't until I'm 9weeks, and scan isn't until 12th nov..

I do love banana milkshakes (like I did with dd, and helped with heartburn in late pregnancy)
And craving fatty foods too, bacon, fish and chips, you name it. (Bad news for my skin! )

Urgh.... Think I had my first taste of "morning" sickness this evening.

lucy23110 · 04/10/2011 11:02

Hi, everyone, hope all ok. I think I also had my first morning/evening sickness last night, ended up going to bed at 730 with a bowl, joy. I can't get my booking appt until 8 1/2 weeks as the midwife is on Hols, but as I am still bleeding (very lightly and still no pain) they have booked me an early scan on Friday so will at least no either way. Did another test yesterday and very strong positive (doctor asked me to). so fingers crossed. Hope everyone else is feeling OK. L x

WidgetWB · 04/10/2011 12:26

Went to see midwife yesterday who is now a friend and a lovely one too, and we had a long chat and she said I have to work out what is best for ME not for everyone else but for ME. VERY hard to do that when you have three children and nothing has been about me for a good 7.5 years!!! She also said that my chances of having another ectopic are huge so have been booked in for a scan on Friday. Will have to take ds3 but he won't notice or know what is going on as has head in the clouds (I hope!). Feeling FAT and cross about it, clothes already beginning to be tight and am only 6+2!!! As soon as the constant starving feeling goes away I shall be able to eat normally again! Bring on breast feeding - if I am going that far! Knowing my luck it will be an ectopic and my chances of having number 4 will be a distant thought and not possible - saves on him getting a vasectomy though! Want emotion and think thats what is missing, I don't feel anything either way, thats not good. Will update on Friday re ectopic.

AstroNess · 04/10/2011 13:28

How long until you guys heard from your MWs?

I went to the GP a week ago and haven't heard anything. I am obviously quite impatient!

It feels a lot longer than 2 weeks ago that I got my BFP.

I'm 6+2 today.

Dozeyland · 04/10/2011 13:49

I hope your scans go well on Friday LUCY and WIDGET.

Fingers crossed that you don't have an eptopic pregnancy widget. Its good
To hear you spoke to a supportive midwife. Some can be iffy. I saw about 8 when pregnant with dd.
Seeing my favourite one on 17th for my booking appt. (Use to work with her too, and she's lovely)

Went to drs this morning to get checked about my cramping, dizziness and feeling
That period is coming/ feeling some fluid is coming? Tmi...

Got an appt at the early pregnancy unit on Thurs. Will probably scan or do an internal
(Which I really don't want unless compulsory)

Feeling tired still. Just relaxing while dd is napping. Zzzzzz

iowmum88 · 04/10/2011 16:26

Well seen GP just got 2 wait now for the midwife to call. Could help me with the whole prem thing just basically told me to sit tight which doesn't help to be honest when it's pretty much all I can think about!! But maybe midwife can help more! Fingers crossed well at least the ball is now rolling 6 weeks gone tomorrow!!!

Wommer · 04/10/2011 20:28

Good luck with scans widget and Lucy - got my fingers crossed for both of you that there's no probs xxx

Wommer · 04/10/2011 20:31

Got my booking in app tomorrow. Does anyone know if they'll do an internal or not at the booking in app?
Cheers xxxx

Enfyshedd · 04/10/2011 21:13

When I went to my GP, I was told that the midwife will contact me when I'm 10-12 weeks - that's at least a month away!!! Seems like forever just the 2 weeks since I first made the appointment to tell the doctor!

CODwidow · 04/10/2011 21:18

wommer no they won't, it's just a chance to fill in lots of forms and normally check blood pressure and urine

Wommer · 04/10/2011 22:10

Thanks CODwidow - just wasn't sure what to expect Smile
(I am currently a MOHwidow so feel your pain!)

hippieshake · 05/10/2011 10:57

Hi everyone.

I hope all of your scans go okay for you, and that you are all coping with the sickness/sore boobs/ raging hormones.

I'm still get pains in both of my ovaries, which is worrying me. I'm going for my 'Booking In' on Friday, but she said that she wont be able to book me in for an early scan because I'm not bleeding.

I know I'm being silly, but I'm just so frightened that I'm going to lose the baby.

I think I'm around 7 weeks now.

xx

alwaysanauntie · 05/10/2011 11:35

Got my booking in appt a week on Friday, my surgery let me book that 2 1/2 weeks ago without seeing gp, just had to collect maternity pack from reception. I'm wishing away the minutes though as I want to know when my 1st scan is coz I just want to make sure it's l real! Also should give me a better idea of how far along I am (could be anything between 6 and 8 weeks) would be good to know.

Hope everyone's feeling ok today, I've been a bit nauseous, boobs still sore on and off, and just tired (bed time was 9 last night!).

AstroNess · 05/10/2011 12:33

Just reading another thread about private scans. Are any of you thinking of having one? Either early or maybe a 3d one later?

I think they cost about 100.

In other news, I'm so tired. How is everyone coping with this exhaustion?! I'm finding it near impossible to work!

BlueCrane · 05/10/2011 14:07

astro also exhausted and struggling to work...been sat at my desk trying to look busy whilst being utterly glazed over with tiredness all morning Blush popped out at lunchtime and discovered the delights of Pret-a-manger soup for lunch Smile can't be making a habit of that though or DH'll have a super wobble when he sees the effect on our bank balance!! Was so so nice though as I strangely seem to feel v cold today...maybe it's the tiredness and the fact that it has actually got colder!

Re. private scans we were going to pay for one at 8 weeks if we weren't offered one on NHS (which we were) so think we'll probably just stick to the usual...I'm not v keen on the 3d ones personally, not sure what DH thinks!

alwaysanauntie I'm also counting the days hours, minutes until our scan in a couple of weeks...just want to know it's all ok!
