I thought for sure someone else would have posted this before me! I am 5 weeks along (sounds so insignificant.....) and am seeing my doctor tomorrow to get things going. Am really excited and am hoping that things go well! According to those pregnancy charts, my edd is June 12.
So come on mumsnetters, who else is joining me here?!

Am I the only one with LOTS of symptoms? I feel a little alone, here.... Can only wear my "large jeans" -- the others give me tummy ache. Only have one bra that doesn't give me stomach cramps, found out today I can't eat apples any more... Have had a bad cold for 3 weeks (all my pregnancies started with bad colds). No energy. Queasy most of the time.

Threw up 2x/today, so far... Am very bored with the limited diet of things I can "safely" eat.

Have almost 100% decided to just get nuchal fold scan and decide whether to get further antenatal tests after that. I am so emotional trying to think how we'd cope with the birth of a disabled child, though. Am going to see GP this week or next.

Will somebody else please moan with me?

Freddiecat · 02/11/2003 17:04

Niknik I think I'll be joining you on your thread!! I did a test and according to date of LMP I'm due on 30th June but DS was 10 days late so reckon this one will be too.

So far very sore boobs and yes Cavy I am also getting fat! Maybe it's just water? I also have really toxic farts which is not nice for anyone.

Very exciting business this. Fingers crossed.

Hugs for Hana tho.

karen01 · 02/11/2003 17:27

My boobs are really sore too and I feel very fat, clothes are becoming tight and have had to go up a bra size (dh detting excited at me getting even bigger boobs was DD b4 being pregnant!!)
I feel nausious (sorry about spelling!!) at times only been sick 3 or 4 times up to now, more than I was with DD I was sick twice in the 35wks with her. I am also extremley emotional.!!

I actually feel a bit better after that moan.

Take care all

cathncait · 03/11/2003 01:11

Hi. I am SO Glad to hear how yo guys are feeling. I feel so fat. I was starting to think i was just getting fat cos 'its too soon for it to be the baby' . Well I guess its the baby - or bloating or something - whatever ..at least its not just fat I have been feeling sick pretty much all day every day, am a bit moody (apparently ) and am so very tired. I'm finding it hard to keep up with dd (15months) . Imagine what it'll be like when I'm so huge I can't chase her down the road or whereevr she runs of to!
Thanks for letting me whinge!

scampadoodle · 03/11/2003 15:17

I'm due 7th June with no2 (Ds is 2yo). have been feeling very very tired & sick - gets worse as the day goes on. I feel pretty much the same as I did with ds, except that i have gone off fewer foods (unfortunately, as it means I'm eating more!). Want everything really SAVOURY...cheese, pickles, crisps, marmite yum yum yum. Also appear to have sprouted a tummy virtually overnight - was flat on friday, bumpy on sat! (hmm...too many crisps??) Good luck to all of you. I'm waiting for my checking in appt as we're suffering from the postal strike here...

baukjen · 03/11/2003 19:26

hello everyone, just found out i'm pregnant. it was a complete shock as we hadnt been trying. we'd just celebrated our son's first birthday last week. i was feeling exhausted but blamed this on that we just launched our own company (in maternity wear!!! so i'll have enough to wear this time). anyway, i'm a bit shell shocked. will go to the doctor tomorrow. i'm on the phone all day with customers who are 5, 6, 7 etc months pregnant and i feel a bit silly saying "i'm under 2 months pregnant", so its really nice to meet you all!!

i just read hanna's news, hanna i'm so sorry. lots of love baukjen

lazyeye · 04/11/2003 10:30

Hi all,

How are you all doing? I'm about 6 and a wee bit along, but I'm constantly pushing it to the back of my head as m/cd in July. I'm feeling a bit down today for some reason - probably hormones.

Also, sicky most of the day. Does anyone have sickness like me? With me 2 previous (successful) pregs, felt sick all day (like a bad hangover really) but never actually sick - well twice I think. Don't know what I want to eat or drink to make myself feel better........do you think the link between sickness & a good preg is proven? I wasn't sick at all witht he preg I lost, but then some women aren't are they.......oh dear full of doubts today..........

Cavy · 04/11/2003 10:41

Oh, I'm so excited whenever somebody new posts (yes, I AM SAD).

I guess, statistically, at least one more of us is likely to lose the pregnancy before 14 weeks (approx. Christmas time, actually), but I hope we all get to buck the statistical odds. I made of list of who "we" are:

June:
7 Scampadoodle, Skara
12 Cavy
15? Baukjen
16 Karen01
17 Juelgaz
18 Alterego
19 Bogwoppit
20 Wendy123
23? Caithncait
25? Wuzzybee
26? Lazyeye
5 (July) NikNik

Sadness for Hana & Pollingford, who have lost out already. June is still a long journey away.

cathncait · 04/11/2003 11:54

juelgaz · 04/11/2003 12:28

Hi everyone,
Had my dating scan last week and my due date is 16th June. I am feeling very yukky at the moment. I have sickly feelings quite alot, I am sooo tired, and seem to have grown a beer belly overnight. however, I am still over the moon to be joining you all on this thread.
I have been referred to a specialist hospital on the 24th November for a CVS. My last pregnancy was diaognosed as Downes Syndrome, so I will be screened at 11 weeks this time. Take care all of you.

niknik · 04/11/2003 14:19

Hi girls, hope your all OK,

I am just so tense about all this, I am absolutly convinced I am going to miscarry again. I'm not feeling sick at all yet.

I am 5 weeks and 3 days when has the sickness started for most of you.

lazyeye · 04/11/2003 14:31

Niknik, totally sympathise with you - I'm the same. I don't really want to talk about it to 'real' pple iykwim as don't want to tempt fate. Only very few know as yet.

I felt gradually more and more sick during week 5 & feel fairly sick this week - 6, though not the rushing to the loo every 2 mins type.

Trying to relax is hard I know. But I'm trying the "there is another day with no bleeding so maybe I'm okay approach". All the very best to you.

Cavy · 04/11/2003 17:52

I would be absolutely furious if I miscarried now... because I am so bad-tempered, and have been so sick, suffered so much so far. I always end up telling people very early on because I don't want them thinking I've turned into a complete moaner for 3 months. My first symptom has always been a bad cold -- I guess the immune system failing in response to the placenta starting to grow. The morning sickness seems to start kind of suddenly around 6 weeks.

baukjen · 04/11/2003 18:36

i am feeling so massively bloated, i cant believe i am only a few weeks pregnant. i look 4 months pregnant. went to make an appointment at the doctors today and they wanted to book me in 28th november!! in 3 1/2 weeks time. but i said no to that and so its next week. how do you all know when you're due? i calculated on the basis of the first day of my last period and got to 19th june. is this the right way to calculate?

karen01 · 04/11/2003 21:22

Baukjen
That is how I calculated this time round, they did it different when I had dd.

I am seeing the mw next thursday so hopefully will get a better idea. I am going to push for an early scan, not sure whether I will get one, but considering problems with last pregnancy and chance could be twins I hope they do.

Hope you are all feeling OK. Worst sysmpton for me at the mois the tiredness.

karen01 · 04/11/2003 21:22

oops spelling!!!!

Bogwoppit · 05/11/2003 12:44

baukjen U R due same day as me.

I am havign a really crap time at mo.
had bad toothache for ages.
dentist today - he has xtracted the wisdom tooth that was givign me all the trouble.
but now roof of mouth is numb - I keep gagging when I try & swallow. Can't eat anything which is making my preg sickness 10 times worse.

baukjen · 05/11/2003 20:17

i cant imagine having toothache on top of morning sickness. poor you.

i'm not sure about my due date but will be after i've seen the doctor i guess. last time i was pregnant everything was so different than this time. i got spoilt rotten and loved it! now, nothing really. kind of miss the special treatment of the first time.

am working my socks of and just had an AWFUL customer who would irritate me on a normal day, but now i'm pregnant i couldnt stand her. what a horrible person. sorry to complain.
how is everyone?

Jemma7 · 06/11/2003 10:22

Hiya, Newbie here (Well Newbie to pregnancy anyway).

Found out last night i am 5 weeks and 2 days - should be due 29th June.

Am so excited and glad to join you all

Sorry if i bug you over the next 7 and a half months but as i've never done this before will need lots of advise as i don't even know the basics

Looking forward to this journey

Jemma7 · 06/11/2003 10:41

Feel like a fraud now - obviously got over excited as i'm not actually due until 6th July.

Bogwoppit · 06/11/2003 11:08

lol jemma.

niknik is due july i think. but u are both welcome to lodge here until your July numbers increase.

& with the amount of bding going on in the ttc thread that won't be long!!

Bogwoppit · 06/11/2003 12:29

have my reassurance scan booked for 3.30 tomorrow. dh is coming too (he works reall ynr to hosp so can bunk off!)

& a frind is having ds for the aft (lucky fri is her day off!)

so fingers crossed it is all ok. excited, but apprehensive

niknik · 06/11/2003 13:25

Just a quick question
I saw my midwife yesterday and she said that I would have a scan at 12 weeks. But this does not include Nuchal, if I want this I have to pay private (£86.00) and travel nearly 100 miles away to Leeds.
Is this the norm ? I'm not sure what to do. DH wants me to have it for peice of mind, but I don't think I am paticularly high risk (aged 31)

Welshmum · 06/11/2003 14:12

It makes me nervous to write this down given that it's so new but....can I join you all please? 6 weeks up the duff and due around 22nd of June I think. :0
