I thought for sure someone else would have posted this before me! I am 5 weeks along (sounds so insignificant.....) and am seeing my doctor tomorrow to get things going. Am really excited and am hoping that things go well! According to those pregnancy charts, my edd is June 12.
So come on mumsnetters, who else is joining me here?!

Welcome to Chicks66!
I replied on your other thread, Lazyeye, I identified with most of what you said there and it made me feel better to know I wasn't alone. Although I wish I didn't feel this way at all, either. I am really hating this pregnancy... but, I don't want to get started again. I feel like I'm on the edge of tears most of the time which is tiring all by itself.
Good luck Anna & Karen with the GTT.
My baby is kicking lots which is fun to watch, but I'm breathless most the time, too, which isn't so fun. My 4yo will puts hand on my tummy in bed in the mornings and giggles when the big kicks happen.
Take care, all.

Hi all

My GTT was clear was lucky as they gave me the results on friday 2 hours after the test hope everything is Ok Anna I have another scan on Thursday so looking forward to seeing babs again. went to see a friend today and she said I look like I have dropped, surely too early to notice!! ijust said baby must be on the bottom as it does feel heavy. Babyu has been quiet for the last few days but i have been very busy so am going to relax tonight and tommorrow so i can feel some quality kicks!!:0 ad not just really little ones.

Hope everything is ok with everyone.

Take Care

Lazyeye and Cavy - I've been catching up with other threads and am so sorry you feel so bad. I'm not feeling despondent all the time myself but I have definitely been going through a really bad period of feeling pretty sh**te about myself and thinking I can't cope with 2 kids (never 3 or more), and not liking my dh. People always say it's your hormones, which maybe it must be sometimes, but I think it's also partly fear of the 'unknown' eg what will the new baby be like, how will dd1 react to me and baby etc etc as well as dreading those bits you know are probably coming (for me it's several things eg the thought of bf which I really hated but feel obliged to do again, feeling like a zombie for several months again, trying to live up to everyone's expectations etc).

I agree with what was said on the other thread about not being too hard on yourself. Why should you be expected to be eternally filled with the joys of spring, have a perfect home and fufilling career etc Pregnancy is tough mentally and physically, as is being a mum.

Hope you feel you can post here without having to be upbeat all the time - that's not what mn's all about, it's about sharing experiences and being supportive.

I am going on so better stop my ramblings now...

Take care.

28 weeks now.
measured 29cm @ m/w today - head down but back to back. plenty of time for moving mind you!!!

Hoping for a homebirth - so long as placenta has moved at next scan.

Have Molly Rebecca if a girl. Jacob Benjamin for a boy.

had an ivite to a wedding in Sept - in USA. got to decide whether west coast is feasible with a 3yr old & a 3 mth old!

hope everyone else is doing ok

Hi all, haven't had a chance to keep up with MN very much for ages as along with being pregnant I'm also trying to move house (why do I always do this?). House now under offer and we've had an offer accepted, no chain above or below so theoretically we can move before offspring no3 arrives (early June). Am the fattest person on this thread I reckon, having gained more than 2 stone already before the scales broke and I stopped counting - I blame it on my creme egg and horlicks made with whole milk fixation . Can't believe I'm 29 weeks, although everyone else seems to think I have ages to go I am mildly panicked at the thought of how I'm going to manage a baby when I can't cope with no1 or no2. At my last meeting with the midwife I was measuring 2 weeks ahead of dates so it looks like I'm on course for another big baby (last one was more than 9lb) but never mind...whimper...

cathncait · 25/03/2004 04:41

Hi all. Everything here is going well - I echo skara's wories (but at least I only have one other dd instead of 2!) We are also in the process of building an extension on the house - which is moving very slowly I might add! grrr. Won't be finished when new baby arrives I'm sure - but really need the extra space so can't put it off. I am nearly 29 weeks now (due 13th June) and can't think of middle names! Any ideas? It is a girl (so they tell me) and will be either Grace or Georgia but don't kow what other name. We must like G at the moment!
Hope everyones going ok and the tests are all good. hang in there everyone - we're nearly there! Not soon enough I know but....soon.

karen01 · 25/03/2004 20:11

Hi all, 28weeks today and had a scan, baby weighs 2lb 5oz (1014g) so looks like this time round should have a good sized baby. (hopefully not too big!!!) They are now worried about my blood pressure and if it is the same or has gone up in two weeks then I have to go the Day Assesment Unit to get checked out, as I have also had slight odema.

better go some friends have just turned up take care all

scampadoodle · 26/03/2004 10:21

Hi everyone...I'm 30 weeks tomorrow, which seems like a really big number. have been feeling really washed out, but my haemoglobin (sp?) is 11 & they won't treat you over 10.5. Am already taking pregnacare so don't want to take anything else unprescribed... Anna / lazyeye which is the thread you are talking about? I too am feeling v worried & depressed about coping - & also inadequate, as everyone else seems to do it with ease.
