feeling rather sick today - hope the sickness isn't gonna come back - had a nice few weeks feeling normal!

george32 · 25/10/2005 09:50

Plenty of time for this little one to shift then!

I'm trying to think in months rather than weeks now as it seems longer. Hmmm, isn't the time supposed to go more slowly soon?

dramaqueen72 · 25/10/2005 16:49

LOL ladies, I'm so not next nemo, nope. this baby maybe just before christmas but only just! I am jhaving a natural birth too dont you know! I think the baby may have turned.or is certainnly somewhere different than yesterday morning. who knows what hes doing in there!

sweetkitty · 25/10/2005 17:09

George - I'm due 14th January so you will probably be before me although last time I was 15 days early. I know this time I will have everything ready early and the little darling will be late.

DP wants me to plan it so I give birth the morning he goes back to work after Xmas/New Year as he will get another 2 weeks paternity leave!

dramaqueen72 · 25/10/2005 18:21

oh tell me about those dhs and their great plans! mine is most concerned he may have to do christmas day without a drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like that matters!!!i mean I just have to give birth..............

Frizbe · 25/10/2005 19:10

DQ Men eh!

Cadmum how'd it go? oh sorry forgetting your a few hours behind us, doh!

yingers74 · 25/10/2005 21:01

Hey all,

Ok have a little time before dd2 wakes! Ok it was all a bit mad, waters broke completely out of the blue on sunday night about 12.30, phoned hospital who told me had to go in to be monitored. No contractions. Once SIL arrived, headed off and got there about 1.30ish, they checked me and said I needed to stay overnight but labour not started. DH went home. I went to sleep. Contractions started about 3am and I thought nothing of it, they got worse and worse although had no idea about times as had no watch! Midwife checked me at 6.15am and i was 8cm dilated! No time for pain relief so was rushed to birth centre and I had her at 7.08am, dh did not make it in time!!!!!!!!!!!!

yingers74 · 25/10/2005 21:07

FOrgot to say, she was 12 days early and weighed in at 7llb and 4ozs. And her name is Isabelle.

so who is next Nemo? Any news on JAB?

dramaqueen72 · 25/10/2005 21:13

OH how lovely!!!! But I'm so sorry dh didnt make it -how did you do without him to hold on too?
I'm glad she is safe and well, she sounds absolutely gorgeous, please can you post a pic for us?
what does her big sister think?

sweetkitty · 25/10/2005 21:14

Yingers your labour sounds very like mine, waters go completely out the blue (no BHs nothing) then nothing but they sent me home again but I was in agony so DP insisted I go back in, MWs looked at me like I was a right drama queen and said I could stay in the labour suite as I would wake everyone else up. It was only when I started making pushing noises they took any noticed and told me I was 10cms! My reactions "wheres my f epidural!" anyway your DD sounds like an impatient little madam like mine!

Lovely name on our shortlist too but think we have decided now

Cadmum · 25/10/2005 23:39

Everything went well. I will post more when I get a moment. Thanks for asking after me!

dramaqueen72 · 26/10/2005 01:01

glad all is well cadmum, tell us all the details

Cadmum · 26/10/2005 02:31

Here is a photo ! There is not much to tell except that everything is where is should be and the estimated weight was 15.5 oz. Do you think it looks like a boy or a girl? DD is really, really longing for a sister...

Frizbe · 26/10/2005 10:02

Hi all, wow Yingers what a great fast birth story, I hope my 2nd is as fast as that!! be interesting tho, as they had to break my waters with dd, or she'd have been a cowl baby

Cadmum, as per march thread I think you have a boy in there, although I could be wrong! great photo tho

Well dd came in crabby from nursery yesterday (having had a good day with her potty training tho) and asked to go to bed at 18:30?! so put her to bed and she passed out.....until 11.30, then she woke up every hour until 4.30 where upon she developed a temp.....lobbed in calpol and managed to get some sleep until 6.30 when dh got up for work (knack'd) so it was kinda like having a newborn in the house.....funny thing is she seems ok again now? maybe just the edge of a cold or something??

george32 · 26/10/2005 10:04

Cadmum, what a great photo.
So pleased that everything went OK for you. Ummm, I've been wrong about the sex of every baby so far so if I guess a boy that should work out right for your DD!

Wow, Yingers, Isabelle wasn't hanging around was she! I'm sorry your DH missed it but it sounds far better for you than a long drawn out labour. How are you getting on?

S Kitty, I think you are going to beat me to it you know. My mum was about 3 weeks late with both me & my sis and if you were early last time.....

Lazy day for me today I think. Worn out from a crazy cleaning marathon yesterday so I think I will keep the sofa company today!

sweetkitty · 26/10/2005 10:11

Cadmum - think you've got a pink one in there, such delicate little features.

George - whens your due date? I'm predicting about the 6th-7th of January for this one. But then last time I thought I would be late. Because of the cover for homebirths in this area I'll only have an on-call midwife from 39 weeks (7th Jan) so if I go into labour on the 6th I have to go to hospital, v angry about this as I really want a homebirth this time.

I'm wondering if your waters go first with the first one then will they go again with the next ones or is it just chance?

george32 · 26/10/2005 10:58

S Kitty, I'm due on 29th Dec but I think around the 7th Jan will be more likely for me too!!

Then again, I'm not very good at this predicting lark so probably completely wrong!!

dramaqueen72 · 26/10/2005 11:01

yes george, with all that youre now bound to go early!! you realise how nervous you will be able to make people on christmas day with a few 'ohs' and 'ahs' and holding of bump????LOL
cadmum, i dont have ac lue tot he sex, but whata lovely clear picture you have. are you decided on any names yet?

george32 · 26/10/2005 11:08

We have a quiet Christmas here DQ with just me & DP so it will only be him I can scare. Just thought, he won't be able to drink though will he, just in case?

It's boxing day when we meet up with DPs family that will be the fun day - he, he, he!

romilly · 26/10/2005 14:44

oh my!!!! i have missed so much in 2 days but what wonderful exciting news to come back to

yingers - congratulations on baby isabelle, what a surprise! hope d/h wasnt too put out that he didnt make it, but it sounds like all went very well.

J&BM - also congratulations! i need to go and catch up with your special thread, but well done! got there in the end fab news

cadmum - i just made a big cooing sound out-loud accidentally at work! how cute is that picture?!! just gorgeous, has to be a girl - as someone else said, such beautiful features...

missed all you girls like crazy - been a nuthouse at work so have just caught up today - but very pleased to be back. will be having my scan 11ish tomorrow.

romilly · 26/10/2005 14:46

it really is weird to think we have two beanie babies on this thread now. am getting so excited for nemo, dqueen and george

george32 · 26/10/2005 16:53

Hi Rom, It's all been going off over here!!

You should add Yellow bear & Hereshoping to that list as they are Dec due dates too. (Where are you both, hope everything is going OK for you)

Good luck with your scan tomorrow. I want to see pictures!!

Frizbe · 26/10/2005 17:46

Hi all, ooooh who will it be next can't wait to find out!
Well folkes dd is definately ill, as she appeared to perk up this am, we went to her swimming lesson as usual, and its been downhill from there on in.....she was ok at swim bar the last 5 mins or so, then it was home and she demanded bed slept for 1.5hrs, then got up with a temperature again.....calpol added, and big snuggles on the sofa with me, but she's still feeling like poo....managed to get her to eat some tomato soup for tea (figured that's the kinda thing I'd want if feeling grotty) but she didn't even want any pudding (must be ill!) we then snuggled agian for half hour and she's demanded bed again, so have taken her up its 17.30! dreading what time she'll wake up next.........poor mite, no spots or anything so hopefully she'll be better for tomorrow? (especially for the weekend, her birthday party!)

Nemo666 · 26/10/2005 17:55
