munz · 10/10/2005 16:55

well, when mum was PG with DB she only had cravings no sicness with me she was sick once - as I have been so hopefully - besides two females have died since I've been PG - a friend and my step grandad's mum so in our fmaily logic is u have a baby to replace the person iycwim to keep order?? (happened again to our mum - great nan dies when she was about 6 weeks PG with me - I was 9 weeks when SN died)

Frizbe · 10/10/2005 17:04

Munz, what a morbid theory!
Rom, your going against the tide, everyone here reckons girl!! will let you know if I can soon, don't think it was too much cake, only had one! and was feeling ill before that.....boo....
J&BM good luck hon, hope its today! or early tomorrow am at the latest!

romilly · 10/10/2005 20:13

lol friz - munz i have to agree, that is a totally spooky kooky theory! i am sticking with my theory that you are having a boy

dont forget everyone: TP tuesday tomorrow. george i am hoping you are at least 8 and a quarter sheets this week

yingers74 · 10/10/2005 21:22

drama - am in total denial about it all. Am 36 and half weeks now. Friend is in labour at the moment and another good friend is due on Friday so am concentrated on them.

As I was early last time, part of me thinks I could go into labour anytime after 37 weeks, but another part of me thinks I will be late as I really don't want to be overdue. better start drinking raspberry leaf tea from the weekend!

dramaqueen72 · 10/10/2005 22:50

well I'm willing you on yingers. also in abit of denial here...........its ages away and ages awaya nd then suddenly someone says 'oh less than ten weeks.........' and i fall apart!!! youre never ready tho are you? even when youre willing baby out and leaping about with raspberry tea, youre still in kinda disbelief.........or is that just me?
george, been meaning to ask you for ages has your dh let you do some baby shopping yet??? what d'you get?? I love baby shopping......got only big items left on mine, not quite so enjoyable as cute baby socks etc. i have alot of baby socks here..............they are my weakness..

Frizbe · 11/10/2005 08:43

DQ baby socks?! but they never keep them on? or was that just dd? she hated hats and scratch mits too! in fact has only just gotten into head gear and she's 2 in a few weeks, argh! my babys growning up!

TP Tuesday is it, righty.....have measured and am 8.5sheets still it gets worse from here on in right

We shall see tomorrow hopefully Rom

Well had a horrible night with dd, am giving Dr Tanya Byron or what ever her name is, a run for her money.....dd was in and out of bed until I crawled into my bed, early at 9, as have horrible throat I'm trying to shift, so was doing the put back in without saying a word thing, and standing outside her door and putting her back again until she stayed and dropped off, so that was 2 hours.....can only assume dd getting her own back for us leaving her with granny at the weekend Then she got up at 4am! so I had to do same again until 5.30am.....boy was I pissed off, but managed not to show it, phew, but am bloomin knak'd.....poor dh had to crawl off to work at 6.30 as well....Here's hoping tonights better!

Hope all are well x

Nemo666 · 11/10/2005 11:46

hello all
sorry not been on for coupl of days but was adams bday yesterday and all weekend have been busy..hope everyone is well.
Take care

george32 · 11/10/2005 12:41

I've measured and I'm still 8 sheets
Decided that I must be using HUGE toilet roll!
It's barmy as last night I was complaining to DP about being so huge & he even agreed & said he thinks it will be a big baby!! Where has it gone overnight?
DQ, nope, still no shopping but just because we haven't really had time. Started looking for the pram & furniture on-line as we probably need to get them ordered but nothing actually bought yet.

Was wondering how Bella & Wendy are as they haven't dropped in for a while. Hope you are both doing OK.

romilly · 11/10/2005 13:14

well i am almost 8 sheets too. george, i was talking to a friend of mine who's due date is tomorrow - and she said her bump stayed the same measurements for ages in between 5-7 months and then did another spurt at the end.

DQ - i love baby socks too, and baby booties, so much more fun than buying the practical stuff

romilly · 11/10/2005 13:15

hey friz - isnt it your scan 2moro?

Cadmum · 11/10/2005 15:13

Munz: I was also thinking that you will have a boy... It would not be reasonable after the sickness I endured with DD for you to have one without it... Silly, I know. I am not sure about this one only because I was too sick for a boy but not sick enough for a girl.

Where is JandB? Is she in proper labour?

Hello everyone else! I am well and baby is a wriggler.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 15:21

No im NOT in proper labour.... slow early labour apparently, although i would now boarder on absolutely NOTHING!

This bloody baby jsut DOESNT want to meet me.

So, place your bets.... another girl because its being such a pain or a boy because he's lazy?!

OP posts:
Nemo666 · 11/10/2005 17:02

lol bless jabm..hope it all kicks off soon.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 17:22

well i now own a bottle of castor oil - do i dare try it?!

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 11/10/2005 17:23

I'm going for a boy on the 16th October!

What names you got picked JABM (today obsession for me is baby names)?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 17:24

Matthew James for a boy

Rebecca Alison for a girl

OP posts:
Nemo666 · 11/10/2005 17:31

yuk castor oil...i know people have recommended it with orange juice buteven sooooooooooo

dramaqueen72 · 11/10/2005 17:33

J&BM, noooooooooooooooooooo castor oil, jsut so dotn do it girl. baby is coming, just slowly. dont do the castor oil. ugh ugh ugh.
cadmum, good to hear from you.
bella posted on her thread just today, shes doing okay, hanging in there. wish i could fix it so stork visited her asap!!
friz, I ahve perfected the art of finding special 'grippy' socks that do stay on. 99% of the tiem. agree those mits are waste of money, none of my babies would entertain wearing them ever!!
george, um, yes, lots of online places will have silly lengths of delivery/in stock times that now may well be no use to you. however most other places and stores in town etc will be able to help you out I intend to seriously dent dhs cards at the baby show next week.
the nursery is being decorated this weekend!! woohoo!!! well the walls are being fixed, painted and all woodwork painted. then i am doing my 'arty' stuff around the room. and remembering at some point to measure for black out blind. and ringing my mother and asking her if shes finished the moses basket/cot bedding shes making yet. and generally panicing

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 17:33

i think i might have to though girls.... its taking too long and the on off contractions are driving me insane!

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 11/10/2005 17:37

nice names JABM

Jessica and Rebecca
Jessica and Matthew stop fighting!!!

Wouldn't go down the castor oil route myself yuck! Loads of dried fruit works for me espeically apricots, I just have to look at an apricot and I'm on the loo, thats what I ate after DD to get things moving again.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 17:53

we like the names too!

im reaching desperation on the castor oil front.... whether i have the guts to takei t or not is a different matter!

OP posts:
george32 · 11/10/2005 18:06

Urgh, castor oil, no don't do it. It might make you terribly ill and you are feeling crap enough already.
There must be something else surely?

Lovely names. DP has already put a stop to Rebecca but I think I might run Matthew past him, really liking it today.

LOL Cadmum, after all your worrying now the baby won't keep still! He / She is definitely telling you that they are still there then.

Rom, that's me, no change for months now. Bad news for stretch marks though if I have a sudden spurt. I keep checking and all clear so far.
Have you felt your little one bashing your insides about yet Rom?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/10/2005 18:20

George - Ive tried EVERYTHING these past 3 days.... NOTHING has kept the contractions going, and as im almost up to 24 hours with NOTHING happening, i need to do something!

OP posts:
romilly · 11/10/2005 18:30

george - i havent felt much movement yet - a few flutterings one night - but i would dearly love some more.

i am totally p*d off tonight, having only just made it home from work in time for....yup you guessed it,.... a full-on throat-ripping apart, stomach convulsing massive vom-session i am SICK of being sick. i hate to admit, but my mother knew what she was talking about when she warned me it could be 4 months.

sorry for the whinging, feeling sorry for myself today - i am good at that, lol

J&BM - i love the name matthew, very cute. i am placing my bets on a boy for you, cause you have to use that name

DQ - i have been thinking about bella a lot lately too, and wendy. seems so unfair that they have had to wait this long. and heres me being a moaning minnie, it does put things into perspective. i really hope this next month is bella's turn and wendy gets her IVF appt. soon.

romilly · 11/10/2005 18:37

J&BM - what about reflexology??? i've heard its good
