Cadmum · 27/09/2005 00:35

What a huge relief for you. Can?t imagine you need extra stress with a newborn.

kelli22 · 27/09/2005 00:35

nothing else to do, i could wake my dp but he'd only panic (its his 1st n hes so scared of the labour bit) im best off letting him get some rest theres no chance of that for me though i might sound chilled out but im in denial!

Cadmum · 27/09/2005 00:36

How far are you from the hospital? Is your mum actually at your house to care for your DD or will you call her when you need her?

kelli22 · 27/09/2005 00:39

cadsmum if this is your 4th can you tell me if you think im in labour? im having dull pains every 20mins and then sharp pains with some tightening round the top of my tummy lasting a few mins all together, also woke up this morning with a really strong feeling that today was the day (weird) i cant sleep, also had a chicken tika about 7.30.....

Cadmum · 27/09/2005 00:40

I will be reading to our little people for the next 1/2 hour or so but I will check back in. Please keep us informed. I am excited for you!

kelli22 · 27/09/2005 00:42

ei23mummy & cadsmum thanks for the support i need it!!!
i did post earlier told you im hooked, my mum and my dp are my birth partners as my dp is scared and doesnt know what to do or expect and my mum is a nurse so will make sure they look after me so my dd will have to go to my best friends or his mums depending on who answers the phone first! knowing my luck this is a false alarm so dont wanna get too excited!

kelli22 · 27/09/2005 00:42

will do!!

Cadmum · 27/09/2005 00:43

Certainly sounds as if you could be! (I am by no means an expert as I was convinced that I was NOT in labour with our second and to some extent our third because it didn?t hurt more than period pains really.) You will know for sure if it becomes too uncomfortable to talk through and if they start getting closer together. How long was your labour with your DD?

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 00:43

everyone iv spoken to about labour describes it as like a period-pain like sensation which travels in waves to the top of your bump and then eases disappearing completely!! i dont know how that feels myself but i got this particular info confirmed by my best mate who recently had her ds
