first labour was 12 hours 40mins im hoping this one wont be that long, im booked in for a sweep later today anyway so if this isnt it then im sure she'll be arriving sometime soon!

With my first i knew instantly that it was labour but this time i seem to have had so many aches n pains along the way im just not sure if this is def it or if i just want it to be we'll soon see i guess. ill stay up til 1 n then if i havent had any more pains ill see if i can sleep.

my mate said that when she started off in early labour she decided to try and go to sleep for a while when she woke up she was still contracting every 10 mins or so and rang the hosp. they said for her to go in to get checked out and she was 4cms dilated!! she had her ds four hours later!! hope that happens for you hun! saves going for a sweep!!

Cadmum · 29/09/2005 01:11

How did I not see this earlier? Good evening all. I will read this evening?s posts to catch up and post again in a moment.

kelli22 · 29/09/2005 01:13

JABM no thats what im saying i AM finally in labour!!!! i really was starting to think she would never come out, i've let dp go to sleep now tho cause the contractions arent lasting long enough or strong enough to get me to hospital i gotta wait til they are lasting a minute n theyre only lasting 30secs and are sposed to be 3mins apart but mine are anything from 6-3mins apart so i need them to settle...the pain is bearable so might as well stay at home where im comfy........i hope yours isnt late like mine (im 41 wks today)

Cadmum · 29/09/2005 01:14

Kelli: Are you still with us? I am off to read your Sept thread...

Hello JandB. sorry you can?t sleep... What a nightmare! I tend to have the opposite problem when pg.

essbee: don?t worry about not being pg on this thread. I don?t have insomnia! It is only 8:12 here.

kelli22 · 29/09/2005 01:16

i just had another bath n im bouncing on my birth ball as i type!!! baby needs to hurry up ive been in labour since at least 8pm (well thats when i started counting contractions) n my mw this morning said id have a quick labour yeh right!!!

Cadmum · 29/09/2005 01:16

Have you taken some paracetamol? My midwife suggested it to me and it worked wonders. The less pain you fee l+ The more relaxed you are= Things moving along faster...

kelli22 · 29/09/2005 01:21

i had some paracetamol about 10ish im fairly relaxed really just chilling on the computer at least the end is in sight ill have my baby by the morning i hope, which is better than all the other days im on here where i get up at stupid o clock only for nothing to happen (sry dont wanna depress those still waiting!) i just hate being overdue, my dd was late too so im just glad something is happening now

kelli22 · 29/09/2005 01:23

get yourselves a birthing ball i really recommed it - only £4 from argos - its called a gym ball but its the same thing........gives u something to do and helps baby move down.......
