Umm, brain gone. Can't believe it's nearly the end of the holidays. Have not been so inspired and active this year. N seems to be turning into a mini-teenager, with lots of sighing, sulking, and SOOO much arguing!

StealthPolarBear · 14/09/2010 20:20

Not seen elkie round for ages - hope she is OK.
Shall we try to revive this thread a bit?

Bramshott · 15/09/2010 09:42

Wow Oooggs - that's certainly a big caravan! I suppose it needs to be for 6 of you?! Where are you planning on going in it?

Now SOL, you need to come and tell us about your house-moving plans! We need details - how far away, how many bedrooms, when are you moving etc etc!

It feels like the summer was a very long time ago doesn't it? Feels like the girls have been back at school / pre-school for ages. N is very glad to be back, although I think she thought the juniors would be more "different" IYSWIM. O is doing fine - she was initially a bit resistant to doing 3 mornings at pre-school, especially as a few of her friends have left to go up to big school, but it will do her good I think.

I decided to bite the bullet and apply for her school place yesterday, just so I don't forget to do it later in the autumn! I only put N's school down, on the basis that O is a sibling in catchment, and there can't be any siblings in catchment I don't know about can there?! I hope that's not a mistake!

I am getting itchy feet with work - I'm about to give up one of my projects that has been driving me mad, and to be honest, I feel I am reaching the end with another one I've been working on for 6 years. I think I'd like to go back to "a job" rather than being freelance, at least when O goes to school. There is one advertised at the moment I had thought of applying for, but I think it's just too soon and would be difficult to make it work for the next 12 months, so I will sit tight, keep my eyes open and try to milk all my contacts for all they're worth!

How about everyone else?! Who else will have their youngest starting school next year? Feels like the end of an era (and that's not even considering those of us in Wales who are starting NOW Shock!)

oooggs · 15/09/2010 16:50

Bramshott - was planning on just doing local but towing it home went well and dh said I made it look so easy that he has plans to take us all over the UK!!!!

Staying Cornwall though for half term and New Year.

Had the letter through this morning to apply for dts school place!!!! - they are now doing 2.5 days at preschool and love it

I am only putting one school which could be a mistake as siblings is 3rd on the list for allocations Shock

yes sol we love a house story so spill the beans and we can help you look

well Katy I am trying to revive the thread but can't do it on my own!!!!
