Ummmm.... that would probably have been us Miamla. My geeky DH didn't realise internet forum addiction use was unusual Sorry. Hope your street cred is not permanently damaged. If it was your pregnant friend she needs to be on here anyway!

Oh and many many congratulations on DD! What fun.

Everyone else (seems like)... on your behalf. What a lot of inconsiderate idiots around. Especial sympathy to those whose DH/Ps are acting as such - temporarily I hope.

Miamla · 21/04/2010 21:59

i know exactly who it was just wondering if she's going to confess but its no fun if you two are confessing so freely! didn't know about either of you!! it was gg i found out about

no worries though, not a problem, he thought it was hilarious and asked 'so do you just chat about babies all the time?' DH said 'i hope not the amount of time they all spend on there!'

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/04/2010 22:02

Miamla - I think your other pg friend thought we were all nuts after she found out - we made polite conversation amongst ourselves Apart from minipert who charmed pg friend's hubby!

LittleNutTree · 21/04/2010 22:05

Hi!! Hope everyone is doing well. I've logged in every now and then and almost posted but due to crappy ex-laptop and work stuff, I never got round to it, but when I saw a mention of Dizzy's news (which I missed - congratulations!!!) and saw Miamla's scan pics on FB (gorgeous!!), I thought I'd get my butt in gear and get back on.

cyteen · 21/04/2010 22:07

Hello!

pertelote · 21/04/2010 22:08

x-post Oops! Think your secret is well and truly out Miamla...

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:08

she is a very good friend and her DH will make an absolutley wonderful father. it sounds awful but i'm not convinced she's got a maternal bone in her body! geez, that does sound awful and she's one of my best ever friends! i hope she proves me wrong when baby arrives (any day now!!!!!) but she's inherently lazy and likes sleeping/lie-ins an awful lot!

i did mention this place to her but she kind of did a face at me!

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:09

oops shall i get my torturing tools out again then to lure people back?

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/04/2010 22:10

Hellooooo

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2010 22:11

no miamla - well we have a patch of concrete, surrounded by high walls. Why?

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:11

nut tree hi
but...are you a name changer? Sorry (can i blame the pg brain please? )

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/04/2010 22:12

That look Miamla was probably - an Oh lord I will meet stalkers like these on there and quickly filed it as a place to avoid She was a little worried about the whole baby/birth/what to do thing and I hope we reassured her that it would all be fine.

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:12

qod is it overlooked?

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:13

you see oops, i knew i'd chosen my table plans correctly! that was exactly what i had hoped would happen!

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2010 22:14

no not really overlooked. It is surrounded by the landlord's extension to his own house which takes up what should be our garden.

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/04/2010 22:15

LNT - used to be Haziedazie I think? but then I have PG brain too

oopsandbabycoconut · 21/04/2010 22:17

I'm off to bed folks and hopefully tomorrow will start on a better note

dizzydixies · 21/04/2010 22:18

Nutty is Hazie if I remember correctly?

Hi NutTree - how is the CMing gong and DD?

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2010 22:19

NN oops
DP not back yet. It seems the train companies changed timetables etc to make it easy for returning strandees(?) to get home. Of course what they've ACTUALLY done is caused massive delays/cancellations etc making it a nightmare for everyone to get home. Train companies can't even run their normal timetable without problems, how the hell did they think this was going to turn out?

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:23

qod in that case i will share with you one of my romantic evening ideas! it was pre-DS but we were living in a tiny one bed flat with a cat (that DH hated!). anyhow, i digress, so i thought it would be good to have some quality time together at home but out of the flat soo... in my garden (little more than a jungle at the time so i just used the concrete yard bit). I made a little comfy area. piles of cushions, blankets etc (artistically arranged of course, not just dumped!) and i had some old fence posts that i put around the area with lots of little tea lights on them (careful you don't put the naked flames too close to the flamable soft furnishings!). It was a really lovely evening. we had dinner out there with a bottle of wine and just had a complete chill away from tv/laptops/mobiles etc watching the stars and chatting. You could take the monitor out there with you so you could still hear S if he needs you

the reason i was asking about being overlooked was in case it got 'friendly'

Hmm, perhaps i should do it again here...

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:27

ah ha.... well remembered oops! Hello properly now nuttree!

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2010 22:27

THat sounds lovely! Maybe when the evenings are a little warmer we'll give that a go We have had a couple of romantic dinners at home after S has gone to bed, but it would be nice to get out somewhere IYKWIM?

Miamla · 21/04/2010 22:28

night oops,i'm not far behind going up myself so i'll see you there in a minute!

QueenofDreams · 21/04/2010 22:28

Hi LNT nice to see you back

You can't resist us for long mwahahahahaha

pertelote · 21/04/2010 22:30

Yes Miamla to refer to your earlier post, Oops was very reassuring and the adorable MiniOops (and DD tbh ) were pretty good ambassadors for parenthood. I love sleep too, and I don't know how people manage with babies who never sleep or partners who don't pull their weight, but hey, we all get through it somehow. Some people more than once
