Thought we don't give a shit could cause issues for thems that don't like swearing.

Spring clean day today. Urgh. Freecycle and ebay galore.

I need iron am all wibbly.

Um, forgotten most of what I meant to say.

Frizbe - gonna send you a cheque. I typed in your bank details wrong and it bounced back

Strawberry not a well bunny. Hoping it is just a bug, but she has a suspiciously poxy looking spot too...

I am busy ebaying too... not quite as successfully as last time, (um... stands at £6 ) but there's time yet.

Phoenix-Sorry DH isn't enjoying work, but its good that he got something so quickly- hopefully something else is just around the corner.

I hope DS1 is okay mrm- dd was v poorly over half term too- we spent 4 hrs in A&E, it was packed- just crappy really, as I was ill after her.
My lovely DS has turned into a thug- he has bitten a child (on the cheek!) this week, and been pushing 'unkindly' and hitting He never does it at home though, so not really sure how I correct his behaviour.

Isn't your holiday v soon Frizbe?

Hope all is well CSWS- thank goodness baby has turned now Did DS get his spectacles yet?
I meant to mention before re your/dd's friend who will have physio... have they checked her ears at all? DD has just been diagnosed w glue ear, and will have to have grommits, but they have said that the affect on balance may well have delayed her physical development (ie it's all linked)... just a thought (though I'm sure they've explored many avenues to get to this point tbh)

That's all I can manage.. we are being ofstedded (a-flipping-gain) and my brain is mush.

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/06/2010 22:52

Not 100% sure on her ears EPPM. Know that her eyes have recently been checked, but can't recall her mum saying anything about her ears since the initial tests after birth.

News here is that dh has work starting next week. Is a mixed blessing, as it means that he's going to be in Greece for the next 2 weeks, returning 3 or 4 days before my due date . V nervous about that, esp as in-laws are away the last week too, so I'm stuffed if baby decides to make an early appearance.

What's with all these hospital visits? Are they all ok?

Sorry that your dh doesn't like his new job Phoenix.

Phoenix · 11/06/2010 20:20

So it seems ds1 does start at primary school in September, not January. Mornings only from Sept then full time from Jan. We had no clue that they had part time attendance at the school he's going to. The info on the application and the 'offer of a place, letter both said 'for children whos 5th birthday falls between Jan 1st and Aug 31st will be admitted at the beginning of spring term Jan 2011.' It does also say that voluntary aided schools may have different start dates but it doesn't tell you which schools are voluntary aided . At least we'll know what we're doing when ds2 goes to school .

Still no job for dh but he didn't go back to that agency job and is eating and sleeping loads better. He's just got an email to say he's got an interview on Wednesday for city centre cctv and someone he used to work with is now a team leader at a Next warehouse and has got him an application form for both the warehouse and security there (he was a security officer in his old job) so fingers crossed for him

Hope everyones ok

Oooops don't know how that happened, i'm sure i only pressed post once

Frizbe · 13/06/2010 21:38

Hello I'm back! had a lovely time in France, although food is hellishly expensive over there, hence we hardly did anything else whilst there, bar go to the supermarket and back, have lived on pasta n sauce with either frankfurters or bacon for two weeks, with a slight alternation of pizza or fahitas! with cheese and salami for lunch and brioche for breakfast. (feeding 5 is an expensive business in Europe at the moment, you're talking £3.00 for a coffee or a coke type thing, no eating out at looking at £30 ahead for any meals.....eeeek!)Will upload photos to facebook when I get a sec.

CSWS, eeeeeek at dh being so far away so close to the birth, I'm hoping that should anything kick off, you have friends nearby who can help at short notice?

Jas, eeeek what was wrong with dd.
MRM, same for ds?

EPPM, {{hugs}} to dd for the gromits, glad you have a diagnosis though, should make things better from now on, more {{{Hugs}}} for the ofstead.

Phoenix, sorry to hear that dh hated the agency thing, but good to see he's kicked it and is getting applications in elsewhere UPS are in Dewsbury, if he fancies applying there? They're pretty much a job for life company if you can get in. On the other hand ss's stepdad has just gotten a job with Yorkshire Water (well a year ago), with no previous experience! they've trained him on the job! so might be worth a look at?

Flame where you at then?

mustrunmore · 14/06/2010 08:31

Welcome back!
Flame, hows your toes?

Asked ds2 what we should do this morinng, he said 'I tink we got to tidy up, its a big mess around here'

Triumph this week; wondered how to pay ds1's dinner money for this half term, £69.70. Found a pair of almost new MBT shoes in charity shop for £3, sold them on eby for £62 plus postgae

Frizbe · 14/06/2010 21:56

MRM now that rocks well done you!

What's Flame done to her toes whilst I've been away then?

FlameOverThinks · 14/06/2010 22:03

sorry for being awol

shut my toes in the car door. I have no idea how!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/06/2010 09:44

Result mrm! Although morally you should of course donate the money to the charity .

Ouch flame.

Dh back tonight. Not sure that I can cope with him away for 5 days next week. Might even have to get my parents down to help .

mustrunmore · 17/06/2010 19:29

I've donated it to ds1's schoool dinner fund!

Frizbe · 18/06/2010 00:06

Eeeeek CSWS, are you sure about that?! {{Hugs}} for dh going away, not ideal at this present time.

Flame, ouch!

to see the footage of what's happened in France on the news (floods in case anyones missed it) in Frejus, where we were last week missed it by a few days, phew...I don't think our campsite was affected, as it wasn't on the river, but most of the other ones were, France24 says they've not even started checking through the campsites yet , in most the vans are washed into heaps apparently.....

In other news dd2 had her trial day at big school and hated being away from me, played up rotten, they had to fetch me into the class room, that also contained her big sister (buddy system) and her big sisters mates, one of whom is dd2's buddy, so really no need for playing up (dd2's best mate in there too, wondering why she was crying)

Frizbe · 19/06/2010 21:18

www.fieldphotographic.blogspot.com/ Meri's dh has been a busy person! don't believe the pr though! these were our xmas prezzie last year a lovely surprise!

Flame, sending you {{{{Big Hugs}}}}

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/06/2010 21:24

Is Meri's dh actually the photographer friz? They are very good pics.

Frizbe · 19/06/2010 22:01

Yes he is CSWS, he's very talented, as is Meri with her crafting, although she's very self depreciating!

Flames thread for those who haven't seen it [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/986864-So-my-marriage-is-over-Shit?msgid=20182038]]

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/986864-So-my-marriage-is-over-Shit?msgid=20182038 one of these days I'll post a link that works....

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/06/2010 22:50

flame.

Friz - sound him out for whether he's free on 19th Sept and what sort of figure he'd charge to do a Christening (whole day thing, so similar to wedding I assume) would you? I'm hoping to ask hub2dee to do it, like he did for dd's, but i haven't mentioned it to him yet, so no idea if he's free, and it would be good to have a back up plan!

Frizbe · 20/06/2010 10:54

Ok CSWS will do!

mustrunmore · 21/06/2010 07:45

Ooo, very nice photos!
Thats fo the link; its easier to get deatil that Flame's garbled texts

damewashalot · 22/06/2010 20:14

anyone remember me?
Flames sad news has dragged me back.
What's new? It look like I may be entering the world of home-ed with ds2 and 3 ds2 because he is so unhappy at school and ds3 because I'm just not ready for him to go and get broken by school like the big ones were and if I'm doing one I might as well do both. DS1 is off to high school in september and looking forward to it. Not told people in RL yet but you lot don't count!

Frizbe · 22/06/2010 22:39

Woooo hey twinny, good to hear from you
Home Ed can work really well for some people (not me I don't think I have the patience) but I know a few mnetters who do and they enjoy it

I'm loving the weather at the moment should be some great storms on the end of it (watch out Glasto this weekend!)

Frizbe · 23/06/2010 22:39

Sooo how's everyones school settling sessions going then?

dd2 was dragged screaming off me today for her session without me, lovely headmistress carted her away (she does know my dd2 already mind) but was obviously fine when picked up 1.5 hrs later she still won't admit to having enjoyed herself yet though!

Phoenix, {{{hugs}}} for the pox thing I just saw on FB.

CSWS {{{Hugs}}} for the sciatica.

Flame {{{hugs}}} for stuff and well just {{{hugs}}} for the rest of you just cause!

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/06/2010 09:16

Waves back to dame - lovely to see you .

We finally got the letter yesterday re school settling sessions, and the first one is next Thurs! It's just an hour over lunch, and I need to pick a school meal for her to have there to sample. There's something about all of them that she won't like, so that should be interesting .

Not sure how I'll make it to the parents session 2 weeks afterwards either, due to v small baby, but really want/need to, so will have to find a way!

mustrunmore · 24/06/2010 12:08

School settling??? School is in Sept! csws, kids eat totally diff things at school, and still wont even look at them at home. Apparently ds1 is a superb eater at schoool

mustrunmore · 25/06/2010 07:37

Argh for head injuries and lomng wait in a&e. ds2 is now glued back together.
