Spring clean day today. Urgh. Freecycle and ebay galore.

I need iron am all wibbly.

Um, forgotten most of what I meant to say.

Frizbe - gonna send you a cheque. I typed in your bank details wrong and it bounced back

Strawberry not a well bunny. Hoping it is just a bug, but she has a suspiciously poxy looking spot too...

Ironed???????????????????????

Phoenix · 30/08/2010 19:27

Yes!!! I never used to iron but now I've started doing it. No idea why. I don't stand and iron for hours on end, yet, I just iron stuff as we wear it :o

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/08/2010 21:00

Friz - did you ask Meridian's dh about the possibility of doing photos at the boys' Christening on 19th Sept? Trying to find someone a bit cheaper than my planned photographer but still good, and he could be one of two in the frame if he can come in with a good quote!

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/08/2010 21:02

Done most of our labelling today - dh ironed on the labels. I could do with getting some more polo shirts though, as some of the ones I've got are a bit big.

:( for fridge Jas.

Jas · 31/08/2010 11:03

I've labelled clothes for dd1 and ds. Marker pen and iron in, as the iron in labels always come out eventually.

On my way to pick up a blazer, then more labelling later.

DP is fridge shopping in his lunch break/after work, and if he can't get anything, then I have the offer of a loan fridge for a week or twoSmile

Frizbe · 31/08/2010 22:21

Frizbe · 07/09/2010 21:05

Smile I've looked v cute Wink

Frizbe · 07/09/2010 21:20

We attempted swimming today, her 1st big lesson, with no teacher in the pool. Lasted until the 2nd instruction, when she got a bag on and stood in middle of pool in a huff, then she stropped out, tearing off the new tasty hat they'd just given her to wear.... I had to call her into changing room, give pep talk/bribery of swim with me on sunday and chocolate, then she went back in and swam properly....gotta say I'd have been bricking it as well, new teacher, directions from side, all new kids, and she was smallest and youngest of the 5 of them, she did bloody well to go back in Smile

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2010 08:04

Will catch up on thread this afternoon.

For now - Strawb cruising but not walking. 5 teeth. Says hello, hiya, and no.

B - meh. Attitude abounds.

Dude starts school in 30 mins.

Me - I have a boyfriend

Phoenix · 10/09/2010 11:10

You can't just put that and walk off!!!

Lewis started school on Tuesday and was fine, went in with no tears and couldn't wait for me to go. Different story the rest of the week though :(. Wednesday he was fine while waiting to go in, he even said 'can i go in by myself?' I said 'no its only your second day i'll take you in.' He went in ok but then followed me out crying and he did the same yesterday. Today dh took him and he started crying as they were walking up Hmm.

He's got his tongue tie release surgery on Tuesday so will need the day off school and probably the next day too. Its only day surgery and they've said he'll be home by lunchtime.

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2010 18:45

Can so

:( for Lewis

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/09/2010 21:17

:( for Lewis.

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2010 21:47

Sorry - meant to post that then come back after doing something and forgot :o

How is the fridge situation Jas?

First morning of school went well for Dude. He had his teacher home visit thing earlier in the week and hid from her, then relaxed when I told him he could just go play on my computer. They took note of that, so when he walked in looking nervous today the TA came and took him by the hand and set him up on a computer :) He says he's going back on Monday.

B is just hell. She had a letter about homework - had to cover a book and write stuff. It said that homework would be given on a Monday, due in on a Friday - starting next week.

She covered her book, but we hadn't done the rest.

Turns out that where I glanced at the top of the letter and thought it was a date - it was saying that that piece of homework was Tues-Fri this week. She had her name crossed off some list and was in floods of tears - so much so that they took her to mum's office to calm her down. She has never cried like that in school. It wasn't her fault. Mum read the letter the same as I had. Poor kid is being passed between parents, I am mid packing (moving house btw - forgot that bit), and it is the first week back Angry. Plus it turns out that the teacher shouts a lot and the whole class is very noisy - she doesn't cope well with loads of noise around her. I am really worrying how she is going to cope this year :( Oh and the head lost her CAF form until last week, so the assessment we thought had been requested in JULY has only just been sent off Angry.

Strawb is lovely. Not keen on giving up breastfeeding though. I am :(

Now for me. Got bored, joined a dating site. Chatted to a couple of blokes. Hit it off with one, we arranged to meet a few weeks ago. Then couldn't see him again for 2 weeks, loads of texts etc. Then he freaked and cancelled our date last weekend saying he wasn't ready to see anyone but could he contact me when he was ready as we seem to click (to which I said yes as I could completely see where he was coming from) - he text again late that night saying he missed me and he had over reacted :o Seen him 3 times since then, out again tomorrow night. I am smitten Blush. Told Boy about him on Weds. I have however missed a few of my ADs last week, and the slump has kicked in now, so tonight I am convinced he hates me and will cancel tomorrow. :(

Howzat?

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2010 05:07

(Pills seem to be kicking in again btw. Woke with DD2 needing feeding/refusing to sleep - found a text. Feeling much more balanced again now Blush, partly due to text, partly just normality resuming.)

Frizbe · 11/09/2010 19:34

Grin Flame, well I hope you're having a lovely time tonight Smile

I hope B is ok, from what I've heard from other parents whose kids have just gone up into year 3, it's a bit of a shock from infants (seperate infant schools to juniors here) most went in great on 1st morning, then there were assorted floods of tears on the remainder of the week, along with more homework etc being set.....and here's me thinking of completely moving and changeing the kids schools, what am I thinking of? (am dreading them hating it Hmm)

Phoenix {{Hugs}} I'm sure Lewis will get into the swing of things, has he been on full days or half? (we're on half days till end of next week) I hope his surgery is quick and as painless as can be {{Squeezey hug}}

Dd2 is watching Merlin, she doesn't half have an evil laugh, whilst yelling slice him in half at the TV Blush daughter of a role player eh!

Phoenix · 11/09/2010 19:51

Friz - He's on mornings til January. Yes I know, we have weird admissions here compared to the rest of England so it seems.

Frizbe · 11/09/2010 20:12

Yes you do Wink going to get my tea, possibly back later, depends if dh goes to sleep on me or not Hmm

Jas · 12/09/2010 12:35

Too much info here to reply to. I'm used to coming back after a week to only one or two posts]grin]

Fridge - we have chosen and ordered a new fridge, but it is out of stock EVERYWHERE. Hoping to get it by the end of the month, or we may have to start looking for a different one.

Frizbe - House is lovely. I'd have it if anyone would give us a mortgage.

Flame - I got the house move from fb, but missed the boyfriendShock Grin Have a bit of fun - you deserve itSmile

Phoenix - I hope he is happier going in this week. And that the op goes ok.

I am feeling very lost with no children at home in the day. Not really sure what to do.

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2010 13:55

Lol MIL is on my fb, and obv until Weds Boy didn't know about him either, so I am not mentioning it on my status updates.

I know PIL will not be impressed, I am still meant to be fighting for my marriage, possibly seeing someone to make him jealous, but nothing more (MIL told me to pretend to be seeing someone?!)

I love DH, and he is still one of my closest friends (he is muttering about moving back to Wales :( which gutted me in a whole losing him way - and the kids obv - but not in a losing "us" way iyswim). But seeing how happy Carrot is making me, I realise that we haven't been a couple for a lot longer than all this has been going on. If we were to end up both single further down the line, I still don't rule out things 100%, but right now I am perfectly happy and don't intend giving up Carrot any time soon.

Yesterday evening was meant to be a meal out, but he came with wine to watch x factor (:o) and we decided we couldn't be arsed to go out and just watched a film with pizza. It was so natural feeling. I have no idea how my rebound bloke turned into this.

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2010 13:56

Oh Friz - with school. I think most kids adapt fairly well. Several of B's mates have changed schools and settled in really quickly with no problems.
