Evening girls! I hope you SE lot have a wonderful day tomorrow. Please have lots of cake on my behalf. Ooh, and a latte. Mmmm.
Sirboob that is terrible news. I always get a jolt of panic when I hear of sudden deaths abroad as my dad died when we were on holiday when I was 6. It's so horrible, and for the family to have to deal with the added complications of getting the body back home etc. it just adds to the trauma. I really hope that DP comes to terms with it all in a good way in his own time. And that you have the strength to be there for him.
dropping babies I think we'll all do it at some point. My mother dropped us several times on tarmac back in the days when moses baskets travelled in the back seat and she always managed to drop a handle when getting us out. DD1 has also fallen off the bed. Her most heart stopping moment was falling head first onto a concrete floor at the soft play when she was with the childminder. I'm glad I wasn't there. All I had to do was to admire her egg head! I've also dropped a friend's baby onto concrete when I picked up her car seat and the handle hadn't clicked in place and her DD wasn't strapped in . Very embarrassing and humiliating, but thankfully the wee soul was ok apart from a rather squashed nose and a big shock.
Schools sound so stressful. I'm so glad we live in a go-to-your-nearest-one area and that ours is fine. My heart goes out to you FP. Having just received DD1's first profile (report), I now understand parents so much better as a teacher and the worries you have about their education. And this is all based on the teacher's use of 'along' instead of 'a long'. It was lovely, thanks for asking sirboob. Lots of lovely photos and some of her drawings, one of which was of me looking distinctly like Mrs potato head, and descriptions of what she's been up to. Having a laugh, by the sounds of it.
Well, the formula thing isn't going so well. 1oz, 3oz then 3oz over 3 days which I suppose is good, but merry hell in terms of colic and tummy pains. No sleep for anyone here! The stuff we have isn't totally hypoallergenic, just mostly hyopallergenic so I'm off to the HV tomorrow to ask for the proper stuff. I'm silly really because I was offered it by the gastro and turned it down because the stuff DD1 had smelled and tasted better. Poor DD2 doesn't seem to be getting on with it at all, and to top it off has her 3 jabs tomorrow . We had a break from formula today so I hope things will be on the up for her now.
