Oh WMDO - I am soooooooooo pleased to hear from you. I was wondering how your Olivia was as the last time we heard from you, she was really suffering with reflux. Well, guess what, my little Olivia has it too!! All the little things that the hospital put down to "being a caesarean baby" at first - sicking up most of her feeds, permanently congested, coughing, screaming (though was trapped wind) etc - got worse and worse and worse until I knew that something definitely was not right. I am waiting for a paed appointment which has been set for 31 March and have swapped her formula myself onto Aptamil Easy Digest. Can't say there is a huge difference tbh, although she clearly keeps more of the feed down as it is thicker, but she is still sick, she still screams and still is very erratic with her feedings. Some days she's quite good and will take a fair few 4oz bottles and then others, like today, it's as much as I could do to get 2oz down her every 3 hours. Which of course, then brings other problems of not sleeping very well at night because she just hasn't had enough to eat. Ah well, teaching grandma to suck eggs telling you all this!
As Olivia just has me around constantly and because of the bonding done post caesarean (ie I did sweet FA other than hold her and coo), she really does not take well to anyone else handling her, feeding her, apart from DH late at night - but even then, he often has problems with her. Pulling my hair out a little bit with this problem as not quite sure how it will resolve in the short term!
Any more sleep apnea problems for you?
I know it must be mad for you, but it is so lovely to hear from you again. Do keep us updated when you get the chance.
And sex??! DH and I tried to plan some jiggy jigs for this week - but it's already gone to pot! Up far too many times with Olivia last night means I'm knackered and he's had too many nights out this week (work related but drink involved) so he's knackered too. Probably 2012 will be next time .
