Hi to everyone, sorry its been a while. hope you are all okay.

I am seriously loving being a new mum again, but I feel I am neglecting my others at times.

Was reading back over some posts, about what lovely dc and dsc people have, my 17 ds would try the patience of a saint but I don't think he is bad as such just doesn't think about anyone but himself??? teenager i guess.

cant you cant change your name to partyofeight i've already copyrighted it for myself and am thinking of joining the november/december 2010 an threads.

Anyone else thinking of having another bub so quickly.

Been watching One born every minute, and instead of putting me off, it's really making me broody. But I MUST resist... and DH is still having nothing to do with me anyway

3 is enough! (so far )

CantThinkofFunnyName · 17/03/2010 18:30

Another baby??? OM goodness!! Well, I have promised DH some jiggy jigs before the week is out which will be first time in about 6 months due to the pregnancy SPD and basically the fact that since Olivia we have been on different time zones! I guess we'll find out of the sterilisation worked - or whether I will be the 1:100 intra-op failure rate they refer to .

crumpette · 17/03/2010 18:48

ok I have found a website, with the super playtex things on (sounds like a condom brand?) and have ordered with DHL delivery by noon Friday, hope it will be in time for me to leave [frazzled] thank you so much lottie for your suggestion

quirkychick · 17/03/2010 21:38

crumpette will he take ebm in a cup? Might be an idea if playtex bottle is no good.

We have top ups only in the afternoon/evenings now - hurray!! I will so not miss sterilising bottles. It means that my 3hr feeding routine is a bit all over the place but then bfing is easier to do whenever, really. I am feeling quite pleased with ourselves .

Dd2 has just found her thumb (not sure whether this is a good thing or not: good hand control but will I come to regret it later...) and has just soothed herself to sleep in her bouncy chair. Clever girl.

sockmonkey another baby, I know I keep thinking that! My head tells me that we can't afford it, we have no space and I will be/am more than busy with the two I have. Also, what kind of high risk pg woman would I be? History of PE, dvt and daughter with DS- yikes. My heart says, it would be nice though...I must be mad.

Hi all

lottie no I am not 'up the duff' lol, my monthly friend turned up yesterday to assure me I am not. But we are also engaging in normal sexual activities when we have a spare moment so It could happen, and If it did I would want them close because it has taken so long to get this one. When I take any form of contraception it knocks my fetility out for at least a year and a half. I started trying for Erin when youngest was 4 after having ONE depo injection and she is now 6 and a half???? same with the others so it has taken about 14years to get 4 children.
The only time it happened quick was between 3 and 4 when I didn't take any contraception but was abstaning at certain times of the month, but a small drinky poos and wayhey, 14months between them.

I do think that I should be happy and grateful for 5 healthy children and maybe not push my luck.

Hope I find everyone as well as can be (sleep deprived vomit/poo covered mummies), we had a break through last night, Erin had feed at about 9-9.30 (6oz) and finally fell asleep about 11. After a bit of a choking episode when I put her in bed, she woke up at 6am and after a cuddle in bed with mummy properly woke at 7am, RESULT

Partyofseven · 18/03/2010 11:46

TMI ALERT. Helpppppppppppp, I think I'm bleeding to death. I started first period yesterday since birth (7wks) and have leaked ++++++ ever since. Am wearing 2 pads a time and have changed 3 times today and feel I need to change again already. Is/has any one else experienced the same.

CantThinkofFunnyName · 18/03/2010 12:32

Party - yes,I definitely experienced this. I was about 5 weeks post partum and it was simply horrific. Clothes were ruined!!

Crumpette also mentioned she had a terrible time - hers lasted about 2 weeks.

I think it must get worse the more you have!

Mama2b5 · 18/03/2010 13:27

party iirc I read someone had the same postpartum and went to their GP and had hb levels checked and was put on the pill to try and regulate it. Probably not what you want, but if you start to feel very weird, faint or anything then make sure you get yourself checked. Hope it stops soon.

somewhathorrified · 18/03/2010 17:25

hi all. I think Tobin's got his radar going soI expect to have to run. No sex here...tbh I'm a bit scared after the episiotomy as it's abit different down there nowadays, also way too tired for that so don't have to think on it just yet.

Tobin's got his 8wk jabs tomorrow (tho he's 9wks today...where has the time gone) dreading hearing my baby in pain, but I guess it has to be done.

Fraochsmum · 18/03/2010 18:50

That's so funny Party - I was just discussing having another baby with my sister yesterday...that sounds a bit 'eats shoots and leaves'...but you know what I mean! I am on the mini pill and have forgotten several times to take it and there is only a 2 hour window for taking it. She asked why it would be so bad to be pg again now, and I couldn't think why it would. DH has also mentioned it a few times, so I may well just stop taking the pill I also thought I might have been up the duff again earlier, when I thought my period had started but then came to nothing - that happened in the early weeks several times when pg. When we first did the do 3 weeks after it was unprotected, but I told doc we used a condom
Thanks ctofn, she really does have a brilliant character and smiles like mad at everyone! She also feeds like a demon, my big sis thought it was hilarious how much she eats, even joking that she was bound to be hungry because it was at least 45 mins since she last ate!!
Oh Mama I'm so jealous! You sound like you are having a brilliant time and I'm glad the wee man is behaving himself for you.
Good luck tomorrow with Tobin Somewhat, it really isn't that bad, just try and keep in mind that the jabs are helping them to not get ill with certain things. I think I would also be dubious about sexual relations after an episiotomy btw.
Hello to all x

Hi all

I haven't managed to log on for ages, life with a 3.5 year old and a 7 week old is manic!

DS is a poppet, but has a touch of colic which has been awful. I seem to have been awake since about last Sunday, I am so tired, I had no idea I could function on 2 hours sleep a night! Its settling down again now, just in time to go to the In Laws for the weekend - not looking forward to it tbh, but its has to be done! DH is taking me to Bicester Village on the way, so it has its compensations!

No sex here either I'm afraid. DH is in the spare room just so he can get some sleep, DS is up at least twice a night. DS had his 6 week check on Tuesday and the Doctor asked me what I thought I would do about contraception - errr, a wall between us is quite good enough thank you and even if he was sleeping in our room I am FAR TOO knackered! She did assure me that things will return to normal, but I think that day is a loooooong way off!

Hope all is well with everyone, I haven't managed to catch up on all the posts, but will attempt to do so this evening DS permitting.

Fifi

MamaLazarou · 18/03/2010 19:08

Hello all, just dropping by to say hi, hope you are all well. I should make more of an effort to keep up with this thread!

To all those lunatics thinking of having another one already, please read my 'Tell me that second babies are easier' thread in Parenting.

After a shaky start, my little boy is now the love of my life and I am completely besotted with him! He is getting much better at sleeping, managing 6.5 hrs at a stretch some nights. he is such a sweet-natured little soul, but people keep telling me this won't last (??).

(No sex here either - I am scared it will hurt! I miss it... so does DH )

whensmydayoff · 18/03/2010 20:04

Hi,

WMDO lifts head for first time in 13.5 weeks!

How is everyone? Just read last page as I have very little time. Hi Crumpette, CTFN, Londonlottie, Alibobins.....memory failing will hopefully return! Hope everyone is well.
What is Babycrumpettes name - I seen J, whats that short for? How is he and how are you finding things?

Olivia has really bad reflux and Ive struggled along to week 13 and now seeing a light at the end!

Got a bit depressed TBH as she screamed blue murder day and night. Evan was neglected and behaviour was awful.

Still struggling to feed her alot and get worked up about going out which isnt doing Evan any good.

Like Crumpette, wont take a bottle from me (sometimes DH) and Im suspecting milk intollerence. Upset stomach, smelly smelly wind and still struggling to feed her even though she is on Omerprazole and Domperidone.

She is now very very cute though. Making us laugh and showing us she is not the sensitive grumpy baby we had her pegged as, just been very uncomfortable.

Anyway, tell me your gossip as Im waaaay behind.

whensmydayoff · 18/03/2010 20:06

Sex? Sex? what?

Id rather eat one of Olivias nappy's!

CantThinkofFunnyName · 18/03/2010 20:38

Oh WMDO - I am soooooooooo pleased to hear from you. I was wondering how your Olivia was as the last time we heard from you, she was really suffering with reflux. Well, guess what, my little Olivia has it too!! All the little things that the hospital put down to "being a caesarean baby" at first - sicking up most of her feeds, permanently congested, coughing, screaming (though was trapped wind) etc - got worse and worse and worse until I knew that something definitely was not right. I am waiting for a paed appointment which has been set for 31 March and have swapped her formula myself onto Aptamil Easy Digest. Can't say there is a huge difference tbh, although she clearly keeps more of the feed down as it is thicker, but she is still sick, she still screams and still is very erratic with her feedings. Some days she's quite good and will take a fair few 4oz bottles and then others, like today, it's as much as I could do to get 2oz down her every 3 hours. Which of course, then brings other problems of not sleeping very well at night because she just hasn't had enough to eat. Ah well, teaching grandma to suck eggs telling you all this!

As Olivia just has me around constantly and because of the bonding done post caesarean (ie I did sweet FA other than hold her and coo), she really does not take well to anyone else handling her, feeding her, apart from DH late at night - but even then, he often has problems with her. Pulling my hair out a little bit with this problem as not quite sure how it will resolve in the short term!

Any more sleep apnea problems for you?

I know it must be mad for you, but it is so lovely to hear from you again. Do keep us updated when you get the chance.

And sex??! DH and I tried to plan some jiggy jigs for this week - but it's already gone to pot! Up far too many times with Olivia last night means I'm knackered and he's had too many nights out this week (work related but drink involved) so he's knackered too. Probably 2012 will be next time .

alibobins · 18/03/2010 20:58

Hi everyone so many ladies popping back in to say hello x x

Jacob is haveing such a rough time still he's been really unwell this week he's on antibiotics for a chest infection had a high temp and sicking up alot of feeds. His consultant apointment has been changed to 29th March now so not too long to wait x x

wmdo sorry you've been having a rough time with Olivia I really know how hard it is

ctofn Jacob is very attatched to me and won't take a bottle off anyone he just point blank refuses to suck wen he's having a fussy day I just feel like I'm feeding non stop.

Mama2b5 you sound like your having a fantastic time think we all need some sun as for you mad ladies thinking of more babies
