Happy 2010 everyone! Cast your mind back to this time last year... [soppy]

Too much wine - excuse for thread title should it be shite rubbish when I read it tomorrow. Thought it was time to wave goodbye to the festive one, although perhaps we should have waited for epiphany?

Hmm, did you test that task? Was someone meant to get evicted or summit?

I don't know what came over me with that post Dog!

VeryHungryLennipillar · 03/01/2010 22:17

Oh I see, team building. House looks really amazing, very swish. I think I'm going to like this, sadly.

treedelivery · 03/01/2010 22:18

It is minus 2 and I am freeexing. Brrr.

treedelivery · 03/01/2010 22:23

I've eaten all dd2's olives and hummous

VeryHungryLennipillar · 03/01/2010 22:24

Me too Tree - minus 6 here when we came home at 6.30, why do I live in a cold, remote, high up icy place? Leccy blanket needs turning on methinks.

Nappy Q for you - am getting lots of leaks lately with my ittis and my BBSS. You had the same ever with the AIOs? I'm not getting them with two parters, but I'm so over two parters. What are you in love with atm?

treedelivery · 03/01/2010 22:36

Am still in love with Itti, also BabyBeehinds Magic alls. Which appear bombproof. Also Fuzzi adn bumGenius for workhorse type of thing. Have you checked the fit? legs less chunky maybe?

VeryHungryLennipillar · 03/01/2010 22:48

Hmm, yes, think you are right about the legs, DS is a lot less chunky thighed since he's been walking. Are the BBHs pretty?

treedelivery · 03/01/2010 22:49

They are same fabric as itti's. Pretty much. Wanna borrow one to try?

VeryHungryLennipillar · 03/01/2010 22:59

Will email you Tree - thank you for offer. Would love to give one a try. I may be in trouble with DH though if I like them, I have a nappy buying embargo in place

treedelivery · 03/01/2010 23:03
Grin
treedelivery · 04/01/2010 00:27

Just realised I missed a question about apple bobbing. We have these Ikea gingerbread hearts with a hole to hang them on the tree. SO I will hang a few of those on ribbons and let the children try take bits with hands behind backs iyswim? Might do who eats most in 30 seconds or something. Assuming the biscuits don't have mould on by then

treedelivery · 04/01/2010 00:49

rainbow-tastic although I think you have bags Moose?

120cms · 04/01/2010 08:54

my, my. that was a very busy evening!

Moose, love the development updates as all my baby books are somewhere in a box (that I put them in so they'd be close to hand!).

Fraid I can't join in on the BB antics as have no TV.

Not sure if anyone has done new year resolutions so I'll start some (crap ones off). I'm going to reduce alcohol, swearing and emoticons, with a money box for transgressions. There may be enough in there by the end of Jan for my February case of wine! Nearly put a grin there, but stopped myself. Going well so far.

RE meet up; where did you meet last time? We are in London so could prob train/drive somewhere? Bit out of touch with where everyone is I'm afraid so don't want to suggest something too London centric. I get the feeling most of you are north rather than south. Is that right?

tink2010 · 04/01/2010 09:47

wow lots of chatting!!!

mm - rainbow party sounds great all those bits sounds fab

i am going for a hungry caterpillar party buying plates balloons etc

miss j - good luck

mm - cheers for dev info - sounds just like bracken @ the mo

i am watching big bro - jonas yum and luv thong song

so glad school back but it is freezing!! needed kettle for ice on car!!! grrrrr

nice to have some peace

tips ladies want to start to introduce bracken to cows milk??

120cms · 04/01/2010 10:55

ok. have now genned up on CBB by reading the guardian article. Looks like its going to be good TV to me!

morning tink! I just gave H some branflakes with milk to be honest. If you want to check for allergies you have to give her a very small amount and only feed other fods she isn't allergic to and keep a close eye for rashes and tummy upsets. V unlikely not to know by now though as it's in so many things.

120cms · 04/01/2010 10:56

foods even. typing 1 handed whilst expressing. oh the joys of nursery.

elkiedee · 04/01/2010 13:32

Hi all

I only had one "thread I'm on" showing! Must post more.

HKZ, sorry to hear about your dad.

Dog, hope congratulations are still in order, fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear about sick babies and also mums who are feeling tired and down.

Back to work today.

D and C seemed to enjoy Christmas - C tucked in to lots and lots of food and they both got some new toys and various clothes.

Plus I found 3 bags of D's 9-12 month clothes - I knew there were some mising, so am now trying to put C in the rediscovered daytime outfits and babygros (the missing stuff included all but 3 of D's 9-12 babygros and a lot of vests).

I think the list would help us remember when all the babies' birthdays are.

hackneyzoo · 04/01/2010 17:14

Hi Elki, list is a good idea....who's going to do it?
Am trying to read the last 12 hours worth of stuff....see, the thread goes crazy again once Moose is back, she must be the thread muse. Am starting to feel a bit guilty now for my lack of effort and enthusiasm towards doing a proper party for J as all your ideas sound really thoughful...will see if I can get motivated nearer the time, think its on a week day so i will be at work anyway.
Moose, the developmental stuff is really interesting, thanks for that. Boo hiss about the sleep....we've had a good run of sleeping thorugh for a while now...until last night...DH was up working until about 3am and J was up at about half 3, so he is v v v tired today...was glad to go to work in the end!
Have decided to prob get DS a trampoline or dome, any trampoline recommendations I have looked at this elc one and it seems good (and there are quite a few on ebay as unwanted xmas presents). The click clack idea was great too, am bidding on a brand new unwanted xmas pressie one as we speak...my shopping would be disasterous without this thread.

Would love to do a meet up but will probably be away at half term, either on the Suffolk coast or in the North East....so if anyone wants to be meet in one of those locations.... Maybe we should organise a camping weekend somewhere in the midlands/southwest as that seems to be where most are located isn't it? When the weather's a bit warmer...or maybe go to a festival or something...Latitude or Greenman...oh hark at me getting all whimsical about summertime and camping, when its minus one outside.

120 I too am resolved to stop swearing, DH and I are awful, in fact especially DH, so must curtail that particular habit.

Can barely keep my eyes open after a whole day at work...must go and ingest caffine.

Dog, so sorry to hear about your friends post pregnancy health, how is she today? I hope she's on the mend.

120cms · 04/01/2010 18:21

yep HZ, that's the trampoline we have.

hi elikie. hows life in norf london?

PatTheHammer · 04/01/2010 21:50

Hackney- know how you feel!!! Work is so.........bleurgh.
Actually, first hour or so was good, adult conversation that wasn't child related, warm tea and a wee without small people watching. But soon the novelty wore off, plus it was freezing at work without the body heat of pupils so I buggered off at 2.30 and came home to do housework. Needlessly worried about the DC's, although they looked shell-shocked at 7am this morning they were both happy as larry to be back at nursery.

Hi Elkie, good to hear from you and glad the boys had a nice christmas. Hope work is ok.

Tink- Z has been having small amounts of full-fat milk in his cup in between meals fr a few weeks now and seems to like it. I agree with 120 that its good to start with cereal etc (although I think he has had it on cereal for a few months now). At nursery they warm it for him, I don't bother [lazy].

120 and others....How about Oxford area for a meet-up? Close to London and the midlands, near Lenni's mum, nearish to me and dog (who will be staying at mine this time, its non-negotiable). Only thing is could be a bit far for MissJ from wales. hmmm, how far is Bristol from london on train?? Where is Lenni, she is better at organising these things than me!

120- my resolution is to be nicer to DH, so far so good, ran him a nice bath tonight and asked nicely about his day at work. that'll do for today!

Dog- hope Arlo had a great day

Right, I must do stuff now rather than chatting about trashy tv......

120cms · 04/01/2010 21:52

sorry Elkie, I used your Greek pseudonym there.

where is everyone? I've just finished a great book. Thoroughly recommend it. Having said that, it has kept me awake from 10 til midnight for the last three nights so I could finish it. So not great if you want sleep!

treedelivery · 05/01/2010 10:05

Hello everyone.

Had a major busy day yesterdaay, had to drive my mum home at 7pm so it was a long one too. Its 120 miles round or thereabouts. car trouble - so tedious.

Moose, saw paper plates with rainbow spots on [and napkins] I'm sure you are sorted but they were only 99p for a pack which is so good isn't it. They were in Asda. Thought I'd pop in after dropping mum off as I don't get to go often as it's so far. Also got to drool in Monsoon and Mamas&Papas, but only for 20min as they were closing. Pah.

Well done for back to work people. Hope it all gets into it's swing nice in easily for you.

DD1 back to school today, she went in fine. Phew!

Big waves to Elk.

treedelivery · 05/01/2010 10:56

Gawd demmit! D2 was really raelly tired and was lovely and asleep on my chest since 10.15. However I needed a wee, infact my bladder was throbbing. So I put her in her cot, face down onto her sheepskin wrapped in a cashmere blanket.

The time it took to wee.....She is up and shouting to get out. ARRRRGHHHH!!
