Happy 2010 everyone! Cast your mind back to this time last year... [soppy]

Too much wine - excuse for thread title should it be shite rubbish when I read it tomorrow. Thought it was time to wave goodbye to the festive one, although perhaps we should have waited for epiphany?

we need the v organised HZ to find the birth list. I tried, and failed!

Soccerette · 19/01/2010 13:55

Tree- i would have stayed Ray if it wasn't for the who ha about stuff being printed. I'm quite lost for who is who. Apart from you, miss j and dog! But Hello all!

Dog, hat off to you, and any others still feeding. I stopped feeding Esme about 10 1/2 months. More because she was no longer interested than anything else.

Off to do some kind of cleaning while Esme napping!

I have to say that would challenge me books. Especially as a washable woman!!! DD2 poo's so rarely that I am almost a bit when she does, especially if it's in her Itti.

Lol at a nice bite to say take it away mum.

I couldn't believe how long the list used to be!! The antenatal one, I don't think I ever 'met' a lot of those.

Good grief. DH at an evening class so it's just one long day on our own. Saw him at 6.10 briefly.
Home 8.45....and counting.

Have given h some chamomilla to get her to go to bloody sleep feel the zen vibe. Poor dd1 has just gone to bed and cuddled up. I feel crap for her at times like this, seems all the loud antisocial behaviour gets rewarded in this house!

Yay Bracken!

Sorry about the bleeding, same here with it too.

PatTheHammer · 19/01/2010 19:22

Books- Z sometimes does 5-6 a day and very big and smelly they are too, mind you he is a bloke in training so it doesn't surprise me, your dinky little DD doing that much filth does though

Well, you know me, always willing to discuss poo!

Just popping off to get some tea and then back in a bit.

Happy B'day Bracken!

Welcome back Ray

Oh and DH's car is fixed, Hurrrrrrrrrahhhhhhhhhhh

PatTheHammer · 19/01/2010 19:24

Oh, Dog, sorry about bleeding Hope all goes well friday. And yes, was thinking some time in the 15-17th period as have family staying from the 18th onwards. Will let you know!

hackneyzoo · 19/01/2010 19:49

Gumps, how weird, I felt the same as you, sore boobs, weird taste in mouth and very tired...then got tummy ache on Sunday followed by period yesterday...

Pat, hows your back?

Moose, glad the party wend ok and DS1 coped with all the guests. I want to see pictures!

Dog, poor you with the morning sickness, th eonly thing that helped me was....constantly sniffing green apples and drinking tons of ginger tea....even then I still felt rotten for the first 14 weeks. Good luck at the epu on Friday.

120, belated happy birthday to H. Grrr at the camera going missing, what a PITA. Ohh, jst read your birthstory, held my breath the whole way through and let out a large phew..at the end, wow!

Lenni, sorry to hear you didn't get the job. 3 days job share in Special School sounds good.
I really want to be part time next year....just need DH to get his arse into gear and go full time so we can swap. ROFL at Tesco condom man!

Tink, Happy birthday B! Enjoyed your birth story too.

Tree, is H feelign any better? Hope so.

Books, can sympathise with the poo, Ds did 3 this moring, the second one exploded all the way up to his neck...he then rolled around naked and poo covered all over our nice white duvet cover. Serves me right for being so stupid as to have white bed linen....wow, just read further down the thread...7...thats amazing!

Stripey, happy birthday to C! Glad the party was good...mm chocolate cake.

Hi ray, glad all is going well with your move, happy birthday to esme.

Had a bit of an action packed weekend. Went to a birthday party on Sunday afternoon, DS had eaten a bit of roasted carrot which had got stuck in his throat, he was trying ot cough it up. I wasn't too worried as this happens alot as his tumour is putting pressure onhis osophagus. Anyway it still hadn't come up by the time we got home, so took him to A and E, who wouldn't do anything because of his conditon, so eventually got transferred to GOS. Ended up with Ds having surgery again around midnight to remove it. he is strictly on a liquid only diet now. Got home late yesterday afternoon, he is fine, I am exhausted. Anyway,t he up shot is that we have to go back in for an appointment with the oncologist on Thursday afternoon, so instead of having his birthday tea with 120 and H he will be at the bloody hospital speaking to the bloody doctors who can't seem to make any decisions...grrrr. I am going to stage a sit in and refuse to leave until they tell me what they are going to do. Am completely fed up for J, he loves the sight of food and really wants to eat, he needs treatment asap so he can get moving an dstart using his left arm as he is getting really frustrated at not being able to pull himself upright using his left arm, and its clear the tunoru is growing otherwise tiny bits of carrot wouldn't be getting stuck in his throat, so they need to do something rather than sitting around talking about it.
~~Sorry about that, rant over.
He is feeling fine today, made him salmon, basil, with a creamy cheese sauce for supper, blended it so there was no chance of any lumps and he wolfed the lot down!
Have been a PMT monster to top everything else off, got my period yesterday, so am not pregnant. Am a bit disappointed, but also a bit relieved, as I want to know where we are going with Jude and be able to focus my energies on him while he needs them. We were going to start tryingthis month, but after this false alarm are definitely going to wait at least a few more months. It made me realise thought, that I am definitely up for number three.
Any news Gumps? I read that after the first hour or so after use pregnancy tests aren't reliable and you can get an evaporation line that can be a false positive or something like that...I can't remember exactly as it was a while ago...
On the plus side my Dad is out of hospital as of yesterday and one of my sisters is staying with him for a bit and trying to persuade him to look after himself a bit better and sort his house out and get some more help.
Sorry for completely me me me mega long post, gah, what a few days!

treedelivery · 19/01/2010 20:09

Oh my love!

I think I would a) go and stage the sit in or b) speak first on the phone to however is the lead consultant. Make it clear that is this visit is triggered by his addmission and will amount to nothing, you need to rearrange it for Wed or Fri.
If this admission is likely to lead to some action or plans, then you will atend no problem.
Put across the point that you have no explanation as to why the team is dithering. If they are not dithering, but awaiting clinical developments and firther info then that is great. If they are dithering then they are not dithering on his birthday tea.

Demand better communication.

Oh love. It sounds awful, him being on fluids and you having to cope with it. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

120 · 19/01/2010 20:39

HZ really sorry to hear about your weekend, poor little Jude (and you all) having to go through that. Must have been quite frightening. And then AF to top it off.

A real shame about Thursday too. I can do tomorrow or Fri instead if you can scoot off early, grab them and do a MOC or Empress tea instead? Save you the hassle of getting stuff together? I have crisps, ella k, hummous and pitta's that we bought for nursery birthday celebration and then they didn't need if you want to do something ad hoc anyway. Let me know, don't think he shouldn't be celebrated with a little party.
