Miamla - tree climbing and tasting is why we went for the fake option this year with only plastic baubles - lighter, can be chewed with little or no side effects. Hector is due on the 29th May so I am taking bets for a 4th June baby.

Sazz - Hope you manage to get to Cirque - what are you seeing? I love them and want to take DD when she is older, although I did subject her to the Allegria (sp?) DVD the other day when I had had enough of her groaning and snotting.

I can vouch from prev exp that an 8' fake tree doesn't really do much damage to a small person, they really are quite light and will generally fall around the child cage-style. We just had a little 3' one on the kitchen counter this year so Kurt didn't even notice it.

Just trying to catch up a bit. So apologies if it is a bit disjointed.

TS I have dry skin but with tiny blackheads over the t-section and used to always get clumpy makeup. Since last year I started a very abbreviated version of the oil cleansing method.

I buy a bottle of sweet almond oil. To cleanse I pour a little in my hand and massage into my face followed with a lively rub with hot, wet facecloth. I give a really good rub over my chin, nose and forehead - where the dry skin used to stick (where my make up would go all cakey - euw)
Then rinse the cloth and gentle rinse of the face. DRy and finish with massaging in some more oil.

Blackheads gone, flakey skin gone. If I am going to put make up on then I blot excess oil off. Seriously it is very easy, effective and cheap.

I haven't Miamla - kinda stupidly superstitious of me I want to get Friday out of the way then I might pop on. I am also very concious that I might not find a group of women who are as fab as you lot. They will have alot to live upto!

Also feeling like a slug with the lack of outside time. Tried to go for a walk with the DDs and yet again found it was too slippy under foot, even with a new dusting of crunchy snow . Surely there can't be more...

Back to normal soon. Have a had a lovely time but ready for it. Have been finishing up Christmas food this evening. I've done a good job with the cheese, cranachan and wine. DH holding up his side of the bargain with the twiglets, cold meat and beer. . May need to creep over to the Hot Mamas once I've summoned the courage for the scales .

On the same note, Steaky I'm very interested in your moisturizing post. I might go chat with our health food store counter lady about this. It might even be a good thing for Reese. Poor child is having a REALLY bad time of it with the cold/no moisture air.
