HP computer malfunction would be more believeable if;

1 - I had not emailed his parents two weeks ago telling them my skype name.
2 - His eldest brother was not an IT bod.
3 - I had not witnessed them all using skype last christmas to talk to DGD in America.

It just seems inconceivable doesn't it, that he wouldn't want to maintain as much contact as humanly possible. They aren't babies anymore, they gain personality by the day and I imagine it would cut me up big style not to be a part of that. Even though DS is going through a death wish phase at the moment and is trying to give me a heart attack. He fell down all the stairs at my mum's this morniung, then fell/launched himself out of the highchair at tea time. His poor forehead is a multicoloured pattern of bumps and bruises...

Sounds like you have lots of fun lined up anyway Steaky, and I am SOOOOOOOOOO of your beach time

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 21:07

Well I have a spare room if you fancy a visit.

And yes they do change by the day. I had a night away on Monday when Mammysteak looked after DD and coming back on the Tuesday afternoon I swear that DD had changed overnight.

I spose he might just push it to the back of his head because it takes too much emotion to think about. Stoopid boy.

Watcing Strictly Ballroom while supping red wine after a dinner of carbs and protein, none of that healthy vegetable nonesense around her.

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 21:16

There are a good half-dozen Aug 08 mamas between me and you steaky, I foresee a spring/summer road trip coming on

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 21:18

In that case you need to buy an old bus, put Summer Holiday on repeat on your ipod and collect them all on the way down.
We can pitch the tent in Mammysteak's garden, it is that big, and have a mammy and baby beach fest.

Loverly!

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 21:23

In the word(s) of Cyteen, ultralol

It may take me a while to get used enough to driving to get behind the wheel of a bus...

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 21:32

No worries I'll load up a trailer of sand and bring it up to you.
Should be able to rope in Sazz too, we will just have to commandeer (sp) Mr.Sazz's desert ready 4by4 and sorted.

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 21:33

Excellent

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 21:37

Going to the seaside is one of the things I learnt to drive for, unfortunately where we live is pretty far from the coast and would take at least 90 minutes to get there. DD was whittering about how long it took to get to my mum's yesterday and it is all of 9 miles away...

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 21:40

In which case you obviously have to come to the seaside far far away so it is worth the drive.

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 21:41

...

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:09

evening all Merry Christas to all and hope you all had a lovely time. We hadgreat fun with the girls in the morning and then mad rush to get sorted to head down the road to the farm where we had a great day. I shall not mention the fact that dinner was supposed to be at 3pm and was finally served just before 7pm and that the pudding offering was none to speak of at all other than that it was great and the 3 bottles of champers my cousin and I necked between us after midnight have been causing me havoc all day

home today with 3 very tired girls, D has bronchilitis again (I think I haven't had it confirmed but I feel I've seen enough of it to know by now) and DD1 was up till just before midnight so she's pooped. DD2 was put to bed but is now back up

great haul present wise and nobody was more surprised than me - got a new camera which is a bit fancy for me but I'll read the instructions for once DH pleased with the Pearl Jam tickets too so I'm in the good books as well
right ladies just checking in as cream crackered - 5th wedding anny tomorrow and then we've 11 (plus 5 of us) coming for a feed on the 28th so forgive me if I'm a tad absent - and yes, we will be having deserts!!

love and Christmas wishes to you all

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:11

Hots, come to me my darling, I LIVE at the seaside

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 22:22

Dizzy, I rekon, if we fold the country in half then my seaside will meet up with your seaside and we can just shake all the other 08 ladies into our pockets.

Simples.

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:27

brilliant, utter genius idea - well done that girl

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 26/12/2009 22:36

I await the result of your geological experiment with great interest

dizzycringles · 26/12/2009 22:53

I'm watching The Young Ones on the BBC2 slapstick night, didn't realise how funny it was the first time round. I watched it cos my brother watched it and he watched it cos it annoyed my dad. Teenagers, tsk.

SazzlesOnASled · 26/12/2009 23:52

Evening

Having a lovely time here and a lie in until 9am this morning when DD2 woke up after 14hrs sleep - we should do Xmas more often

DH and Dad have just beaten Mum and me at Canasta which i am trying to recover from now (not that i am competitive or anything )

Loving the idea of being folded in half and rolling down into Steaky or Dizz's pockets . I would imagine No1 & Hots will need to be forewarned to obtain appropriate head gear as i think they will have furthest to fall

Right, wibbling now so must go to bed. Night

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 26/12/2009 23:56

aw sazz dont go to bed yet, stay a while...

luckoftheirish · 27/12/2009 07:18

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 27/12/2009 08:13

Up to mammysteak's for lunch later so at least I can catch a sleep on the sofa this afternoon and not have washing up to do when I get home.
