Morning,

Nice to hear about the good nights for you both belgina and llare. A was up twice again last night but it was another respectable 7am start so don't feel too bad. Lets hope that the other lo's follow suit soon, especially yours muddled and Febes sounds like you've had some tough nights.

caaaaaaaa get some layers on girl. Sounds freezing. Bet you are excited to be coming home for Christmas tho.

Sounds like Santa is bringing teeth for Christmas doesn't it? Am sure that A has the top two coming through as she is back to dribbling, chomping and being a bit grouchy. Her bum is red too which has only happened once before just when the others came through.

I think crawling might be on its way too - yesterday I went to put the kettle on, leaving A on her tummy on the playmat in the lounge. When I came back she was about 1/2 a metre off the mat on the hard flooring. No idea how she did that and from the look on her face neither did she

Crimbooldcaaaaaaaa · 16/12/2009 12:12

running . I have:

enormous nursing bra
vest
long-sleeved t-shirt
short-sleeved t-shirt
cardigan

on

bbbbbbrrrrrrrrrr

Crimbooldcaaaaaaaa · 16/12/2009 12:14

oh and S does the 'shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, what the fudge, how did I get here?' thing too. Makes me laugh every time.

pulacracker · 16/12/2009 12:20

Morning all, or should that be afternoon.

Well, I have to share my happy news - please don't throw things at me . S had a feed at 11pm, and then the next thing i knew it was 5.45 . I fed him, and we dozed on and off until 7am. That is the latest he has ever fed after his evening feed. And then i found out he has his first tooth . So i guess he was unsettled in the evening because of that, and then the nurofen helped. I am hoping like belgina that this is a sign of things to come and not a one-off.

I am hoping that ebay will discipline the seller of the fake uggs but they didn't say anything, so i will keep an eye on his sales list and report him if he tries to sell any more uggs.

HeadlessLadyH · 16/12/2009 13:21

It is utterly utterly miserable here today. Do not know what I am going to do with DS1 this afternoon. His usual wednesday play mate is poorly so thats a non starter. Maybe make some mince pies? That'll take about 20 mins......

It seems all the LOs are pretty unpredictable at the mo at night! R is no exception. We have the odd night where he goes from 7pm to 3am/4am aor nights like last night where it was midnight, and then 5am.

R is kind of moving too, by rolling around. But I suspect it won't be long as he is spending increasingly long on his tummy and his legs are sort of pushing.

pula good news on the Uggs.

crimbo at your snow but not at the lack of heating! Hope all goes well with the trip back at the weekend. Are the animals sorted??

sorry for not namechecking everyone.

Reggiee · 16/12/2009 14:44

Hello all . How the devil is everyone?

Belgina Ses Febes sorry to hear the dh's haven't been very understanding of late. They just don't get it. A lot of people think my dh is a fully hands on dad, but I'm just fortunate that the kids go to the on site nursery where he works (so that means he is responsible for that side of things), and I can be a bit bossy .

Ses the returning to work thing was a real crunch time for us. It is then it becomes apparent how much childcare / laundry / meal planning / shopping / household chores you actually do do. I've told dh I'm considering getting a cleaner when I go back to work.

Blotted hope you are ok.

Running re broodyness I am wondering as our dc approach 8 months who will be the first on the thread to fall pg again. An 18 month gap is not uncommon. You now are my front runner .

What to report here? Re teeth ds got his second one at the weekend without too much fuss. His top two seem a long way away so I don't think we'll see any more for a while.
Sleep....erm... ... much sympathies to those of you with bad sleepers. And a hurrah to Llare for the mammoth sleep. . He doesn't crawl, indeed movement is limited . He's been sitting up so well I keep forgetting to put him on his front so he doesn't practise rolling either. Whoops.

B has his first hour at nursery tomorrow . Sob. On the plus side, Santa's reindeer will be there . He starts properly at the start of Jan.

Reet, he's woken up now so need to go and get his afternoon tea. He's getting much better at lumps now.

Jinglebelgina · 16/12/2009 16:08

Hi reggie Long time no seen C's the same in terms of movement. She sits well, occasionally falls sideways and then she does go onto her front. She hates being on her front so immediately calls for help when that happens. She doesn't cry, just does this high pitched squeak, not squeal. DH doesn't tend to recognise it as a sign of baby unhappiness. He always thinks she's playing when she does that, but I know better
about B's first time to nursery. Bring some tissues, you'll need them

ladyH Hope you found something productive to do with your ds1

pula Hurrah for the tooth. Hopefully that means a few better nights' sleep soon.

broodyiness I've been wondering who'll be the 1st to get pregnant again on here too. Some of us are clearly thinking about a follow up baby [hwink]

llare Sorry I didn't comment on your previous post re: your ds's cold. I did mean to I meant to say that I rarely go to the GP's with mine. Only if they've got either an extremely high temp, interesting rash, vomitting and not eating for over 24h or something other bizarre that I'm not sure what it is. If it looks like it can be treated with just calpol I just leave it. Talking about colds. I think C's caught mine. She's now coughing a bit.

Anyone had snow? We've had a few flakes. Nothing more.

C's pics are lovely. They'll make great presents for grandmas and aunties

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 16/12/2009 16:31

We've had loads of snow! Snowed for hours this morning, stuck for a while, but it's all wet now so going.

I'm broody in an 'I love newborns' kind of way, but the practicalities scare me a bit. Although if DH and I have got a bit, you know, we haven't been very careful . Highly unlikely anything will happen (no periods, still feeding A twice a night, had to stop BF completely to get pregnant with A), but couldn't rule it out.

crimbo - at your fuel! But not long at all now until get home!!!!

Help! What am I going to cook for tea?

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 16/12/2009 16:34

reggiee - hello! good to hear from you.

Febesisachristmascracker · 16/12/2009 16:44

We've had loads of snow too. So pretty but so cold out there.

I bought a sparkly top to wear to my work do tomorrow night so it'll be jeans, boots and sparkly top for me. I was thinking of wearing a dress but I think jeans will be warmer.

Crimbo Not long till your home now. How exciting!

HarktheHeadlessAngelsSing · 16/12/2009 17:29

I have finally had inspiration for my Christmas name. Its taken me 2 weeks to think of something!!

febes snow?!! God, I would love some. Perhaps on the 23rd Dec so my ILs would not be able to travel down to us.
I am off out (again) tonight. Its the final one before Xmas. And tonight I shall be wearing...

taa daaa www.bunnyhug.co.uk/fashionshop/gbu0-prodshow/Adela_Strapless_Jumpsuit_In_Black_As_Seen_On_Ale ssandra_Ambrosio.html

Yes, I think I will be cold!!

reggiee hello. Hows the house?

belgina we did the mince pies. I found a jar of mincemeat in the cupboard ( only 2 months out of date so what the hell!). I've just tasted one. Yikes. Maybe those dates are there for a reason!!!! They will go in the bin once one has been salvaged and preserved for Santa. At least I can't actually poison Santa.

HarktheHeadlessAngelsSing · 16/12/2009 17:30

try again

HarktheHeadlessAngelsSing · 16/12/2009 17:34

And flip you've got snow too?? Fabulous.

Actually maybe I need the ILs to come thinking about it. We need babysitters on Christmas Eve night.

runningdonkey · 16/12/2009 18:09

Love both the name and the outfit headless

Oh and Regieee at me being first to get pg again. Don't go putting your life savins on it as haven't got busy since A was born... What's the betting that sod's law strikes though?

flip tomato pasta is the backup in our house, we eat it a lot! Mac and cheese is the other alternative.

No snow here just drizzle and I've got to go out to get weighted tonight... prob shouldn't have had a mince pie at lunch but never mind!

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 21:33

on phone tonight as I just can't be bovvrd to boot up the laptop.. it's been literally a looong day and felt like it at times too..

right will try and catch up..

hiya reggie great that the next tooth didn't bother B too much and on the whole G sleeps like B on a normal night she drifts off to sleep before 7.30pm dream feed whenever i head to bed and she sleeps through to 6.30am/7.30am.. on our pear shaped nights it's well all over the place!

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 21:46

grumpy OMG at fuel cost & brrr @ no heating.. oh and you're not allowed to call your move a failure.. remember it's your french adventure and how good is that 1st hot soak in the bath going to feel! not long to go now until you're home with dh too

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 21:54

pula i know i said there were no teeth.. well this afternoon dh & I discovered we were WRONG! so G's grislyness over last few days has been not just her snotty nose but the 2 bottom center teeth breaking through

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 16/12/2009 21:55

No proper catching up, sorry - A is still awake She's currently crawling round the living room, happy as anything, but she has enormous bags under her eyes.

The snow's all gone now, it's just cold and drizzly now

Mominohoho · 16/12/2009 22:00

hi all, taking a break from wrapping gifts. DH is away so I thought I'd get some christmas prep done (not happening).

pula, how exiting for S's 1st tooth! and hoorah for all the other teeth coming in.

headless, the mince pie story made me . like your new name by the way.

running/flippin,or whomever gets preg first i will be so . i would love another LO. but I think it's easy for me to whinge and be wistful since DH is now sterile.

grumpy, best wishes on safe travels home! back to affordable central heating .

febes, love the sound of your outfit. bet you'll look and feel fabulous.

sorry for not namechecking everyone else. hope you're all well.

Harper and I saw Where the Wild Things are at the Big Scream today. It was really good but I thought the Wild Things were a bit sad and felt a little empty when Max left them in the end. Harper liked the music though. she also stayed awake the entire film, laughed, chattered and played on the floor happily. gone are the days when she slept peacefully in my arms through Inglorious Basterds...

ok, back to wrap gifts, may be back on later.

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 22:03

running i've a similar thing happening with G now.. i pop her on the floor to go to the loo I have to hunt for her across the room when i come back a few mins later.. if she's in the bathroom with me i have to shut the door or she's off rolling down the hall.

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 22:09

hiya momino flipping

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 22:24

headless great name & febes yay to both having new outfits

jingle how's C's cold? bit better I hope?

flippin hope A gives in to sleep soon. at snow we had rain today.. well drizzle.

momino last time we went to the cinema was to see ice age 3.. about a month ago.. G wanted to watch and got quite vocal about me turning her around to miss the mild scary bits.

flippineckitsnearlychristmas · 16/12/2009 22:27

hello fi! and momino, if you're still there.

A showing no signs of wanting to sleep at all. She's trashing the place around us!

She trapped me in the shower the other day. We have a folding/sliding door on the shower - I was washing my hair in there when I realised she'd pulled herself up onto her feet using the door for support, but because I didn't have my glasses on I couldn't see where her hands were and didn't want to open the door in case I hurt her. In the end I managed to reach round the door and pull her over so I could get out!

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 22:30

caught up! well a bit

i should be finishing xmas cards or crocheting G's stocking.. but going to do those tomorrow

FirelightGlintingOnTheXmasTree · 16/12/2009 22:39

flippin A's a clever girl lol
