Blaspheming? I can't see any blasphemy there Pepper. Sounds like a reasonable rant to me! What fun you're having!

Maybe Myjob, but it makes a change for it NOT to be all about her!

M was whinging about something earlier, it was around lunch time so I asked her is she wanted food. She nodded and pointed to the door. So I said well go with Daddy (who was also in the living room) and he'll get you lunch. She then crawled up to DH and put her arms up to be picked up! Maybe she's not a dim as I thought! She later 'asked' me to put her coat on and pointed to the door. I think she wanted to go out.

I am in a very bad mood today because I haven't really seen DH all week and he is going away for the night with work tomorrow. He's been out Monday night, last night and tonight working, not getting home until 10pm and is leaving at 5.45 tomorrow morning. Therefore am I allowed to get pizza for my dinner? I will only eat half and leave the rest for DH for when he gets home.......

50ftQueenie · 14/10/2009 18:15

Oh and M only sleeps on my lap during the day at home. I had managed to get her to sleep in her cot but then she was ill and I let her sleep on my lap, 5 months later she still refuses to sleep anywhere but on me. She will sleep in her car seat or push chair when we're out which is why I have not put her in the Quinny Zapp just yet.

Heh heh! I think these girls of ours will be more difficult to trick than the boys! They certainly know their own minds don't they?! I did try don't offer don't refuse, I lasted about twenty minutes......... How does N 'ask'?

pepperrabbit · 14/10/2009 18:40

I think pizza is well deserved 50ft, I'm the same when I havent seen DH for a while - it's my reward for running the house/children single handedly for more than 24 hours! My DH has been doing stupid hours as well. Monday, he got home at 9.30 and had a conference call at 10pm. FFS. He came to bed at 1.30am and left again at 7.15...
It makes me so cross cos he really doesn't get paid enough for that kind of crap. and tbh, his job really isn't that important.. I mean it's not life and death, it's computers...

Get the pizza! And do as myjob says I'd eat the whole thing, too You should make your own healthy pizza Get dominoes

myjob - it will happen when she's ready - my advice is... Enjoy it

Sorry to hear about your day, pepper! how awful

MamaG how old is babyG?

star6 · 14/10/2009 19:11

I'm wondering how bethoo is doing? And if her new man is being nicer now. When is her next baby due - in the spring?

pepperrabbit · 14/10/2009 20:05

Well they're all in bed. I have given everyone calpol! DD for teething, DS2 has a shocking red, sore, lump on his arm from one of his jabs yesterday and DS1 has a sore throat and tummy ache.....
I'm not entirely convinced we'll get an uninterrupted nights sleep! Not that I can remember one of those anyway.
star - lol at dh thinking Q's wasting his brain cells!
myjob - hope N's head is OK,
50ft - now you'll have to decribe your pizza in great detail so we can all enjoy it!

star6 · 14/10/2009 20:12

oh pepper, if I had 3 kids and a day like the one you described, I'd likely be giving them all a medicine to knock them out... what's that controversial one called? medisinol or something like that?
I don't usually give medicine if I don't have to in reality... but not sure how I'd cope in your situation. Well done for making it through the day!

So, I have myjob's house on Tuesday, bluewater on Wednesday and a playdate with a colleague with a 6 month old on Thursday. Anyone else? I'm loving filling up my calendar

50ftQueenie · 14/10/2009 20:16

Decided against pizza in the end. I had another dizzy spell {I think it was a sugar low as I ate some sweets at my mum's house earlier) then got chest pains so had a mild panic about having a heart attack , then remembered that the chest pain came on after I over-reached to scoop M up just as she was about to tumble down the stairs. I did some star jumps to see if the pain got worse when doing exercise and it didn't at all. It was definitely just a muscle twinge but it made me think that I really must lose some weight and look after myself! I get a fair bit of exercise, I walk everywhere, but I must cut out the rubbish. I feel like such a twat for panicking!

Anyway, Bethoo popped in on this thread earlier Star. I believe she is due in January.

50ftQueenie · 14/10/2009 20:18

Oh are you visiting Myjob on Tuesday Star. How lovely!

. I had to hold my boobs so I didn't get knocked unconscious! I am SUCH a drama queen and worrier when it comes to stuff like that. I mean FFS, I'm 32, I exercise, I don't smoke, I am fat but hey, I have very low blood pressure, I eat a lot of veggies and no red meat plus I have no family history of heart disease. I'm such an idiot.

star6 · 14/10/2009 20:26

Oh 50ft, sorry to hear that but I did get a laugh out of someone stopping to star jump in the midst of a panic, too!

must have missed bethoo's post!

star6 · 14/10/2009 20:29

LOL at holding your boobs so not to get knocked unconscious! I would give ANYTHING to have boobs that had even the potential to knock me unconscious! ha!

So, my grocery delivery was meant to arrive between 6pm-8pm. They just called to say they couldn't do it tonight b/c the driver didn't show up!! ?? I'm so
That's now me getting up earlier than usual so we can go to the 24 hour tesco and get Q's oatmilk and food for tomorrow!

star6 · 14/10/2009 20:30

oh, and I call star jumps.... "jumping jacks"

I am also that your first thought when you had pains in your chest was to do star jumps .

Which supermarket star - I'd complain by email.

OP posts:
star6 · 14/10/2009 20:40

omg I'm such an idiot! well, where has she been, then? She needs to post more. I want to see a picture of babyG

Sainsburys csws. Going to complain via email now.

star6 · 14/10/2009 20:50

I just complained with no shame. I brought up the fact that we have a 12 month old and NONE of his milk left in our house and not enough food for his breakfast or lunch tomorrow (all true), so delivering tomorrow evening is just unacceptable. I am SO

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/10/2009 20:58

Oh sainsbury's are shit star. They once phoned when my order was late to say that they couldn't deliver for another 4 days! Use ocado (or waitrose deliver if it's in your area) instead.

MamaG · 14/10/2009 20:58
