How's that?

How come the back of my house is jumper-wearing freezing and the front is cosy and wombic and making me balk at putting the heating on? Amazing what a bit of sunlight can do eh? Got to wake up nice warm baby and give him lunch in the freezing cold kitchen.

LoveBuckets · 12/10/2009 12:39

LOL yep, get a Depo shot! That would be a reality check for him if you told him you were on the pill again.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 14:09

Mansteak will not be getting his rations just for turning up. He will be sleeping in the spare room and if he is nice between now and then I will borrow my mum's click-clack bed for him, if not it is the 30 year old blow up camping mattress.

twice?
GAH! Lil lady is awake from the world's shortest snooze. Think we might go and enjoy the sunshine.

AnnVan · 12/10/2009 15:27

Yeah I agree with you steky after all, men are (as TS points out) incredibly basic. He'll think you'll be happy to give him some whenever he comes round to visit. i also think I'm going to take Seb out to the park to enjoy the sunshine

AnnVan · 12/10/2009 15:28

And hi snot really not ignoring you

C'mon ladies I fancy a namechange. Mine really is sooo boring, and a little too obvious. Any ideas??

TwilightSurfer · 12/10/2009 16:48

? How about AV?

I get no points for creativity today. LOL!

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 18:25

Ann you could start with a Halloween name to give you time to think of a new one.
How about Vampvan?

LoveBuckets · 12/10/2009 19:03

Ooh Vampervan? Winibaghoul? Can anyone think of one for me? I'm still stuck in my Valentines name.

Ordered patio doors and a window today - only £330 inc delivery! God I love Wickes, but if only they had a coffee shop.

Just been doing some recorder practice with DD, determined not to let her quit after 3wks like I did at the same age. Also enjoying the fact I am learning to read music myself in the process, they're not so stupid these primary schools are they?

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 19:33

Bucketsofblood my mum still plays giant tenor recorder, not well but she likes it.

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 12/10/2009 19:45

Winibaghoul is fucking genius!

Buckets I agree you really must be Bucketsofblood.

Have read all but honestly can't remember anything I was going to say, due to having totally knackered the boy and myself at soft play this afternoon. Had such a lovely time with two friends and their little ones, all the babies were in total cute/jolly overload, it was awesome. He is now zedding away like a good'un upstairs - I'm quite jealous actually.

I have made a momentous decision tonight: as of now I am going to quit breastfeeding. He's only been having one feed a day, just before bed, and for the last two weeks or so he's really not been bothered. Tonight he had at most 5 mouthfuls and then turned away, giving me the impression that to continue any further would be forcing it on him. So I think we're done. Am totally happy about it, he's led me all the way as far as feeding goes and I'm glad that hasn't changed

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 12/10/2009 19:52

AnnVanIBiteYouYouVillBeUndead etc unless that is offensive to any Transylvanians.

steaky attagirl! Must have been tough seeing his mug and I am sure he misses you both too, he would have to have a heart of steel not to.

Lovely to see the wonderful dizzy & her dixettes today, ds2 not in his best form and the older dixies very charmingly entertained him. I had to take off my wellies and climb up onto a bus shelter to retrieve a shrieky flying toy thing that I had thrown up there with poor aim superhuman strength so there was a rather hairy episode involving dizzy doing a sort of tossing-the-caber movement catapulting me over a spiked fence. I have seen more dignified days. Anyway we recovered over a pub lunch with mediocre food but marvellous company.

SazZaVoom · 12/10/2009 20:14

Evening

Had a lovely time making pizza at playgroup and Lemon Drizzle cake went down a storm too . Had the carpenter here mending our front door step & bedroom doors and the painter finishing off bits and pieces. All this work will end at some point i'm sure . Very tired for some unknown reason but will stay up for PMC and DH returning at some point

I am loving Winnebaghoul and BucketsOfBlood

Blimey VG that sounds entertaining like quite a mission

cyteen well done you on getting so far with BF DS. It is lovely when there is no feeling of pressure/resentment etc to wean and it all happens naturally

snot i hope your mum and dad have a good trip over and you get some quality lie ins time with them

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 12/10/2009 20:27

Wolfie that sounds great, it's ideal for the bf to come to an end by mutual consent, no tugging of heartstrings on either side.

Sazz sounds like a lovely day for you! DH coming home will be a nice end. DP came home from work trip unexpectedly early (had thought not till tomorrow), luckily only surprised me reading books with ds2 on the carpet. I could easily have been lolling in an unmade bed with Wendy Holden and a double pack of jaffa cakes...

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 12/10/2009 20:29

snot hope ds didn't develop temperature?

SazZaVoom · 12/10/2009 20:31

LOL i have just finished my latest Wendy Holden . In my defence they were 3 for £5 in Tesco so i couldn't not buy them!

Jaffa cakes.............Yummy

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 12/10/2009 20:39

Oh really I'm in the middle of one, it's my bath book, and I am really finding it terribly hard going, I can't remember what it's called but features about a thousand characters and is to do with Hollywood and modelling. I thought her early ones were quite funny but this one is dire.

Let me tell you - don't tell HotMamas - here you can now get Jaffa cakes with Cadbury's chocolate on them. DP swears they are the lowest fat chocolate biscuit you can get, he says there is 3 times as much fat in a Digestive . Sorry I am on the wrong thread for such dull observations but I couldn't be arsed pasting it to HotMamas where I am sure it would be welcomed as equally dull .

I am going to watch Panorama on Ryanair now.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 20:39

To beat Winibaghoul I shall have to raise my game, give my everything, have my every move scrutinised by a legendry wordsmith, because namechanging doesn't get tougher than this.
Namechanging means everything to me.

Oh dear, five mins into PMC and I am already overloaded on the cliches.

Wotcha all

VG sounds like a fun day.

Sazz a v creative for you. I have made orange breakfast muffins and eaten most of them already.

Mum a bit poorly, poor love, so I fed her tea and muffins and DD sat still long enough for ganma to read a story to her.

Wolfie how lovely that your bf journey is coming to a happy ending. I am a little because I am not sure how to manage things with DD. I think I am keener to finish than she is. But one small advance for me last night in that when she did wake she settled without a BF.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 20:41

VG I was considering watching RyanAir thing but think it would probably just make me very cross.

SazZaVoom · 12/10/2009 20:46

Was the same one VG - no wonder they were so cheap. It doesn;t really improve at all, although i liked the foodie bits with Marco . Jaffa cakes are one of the lowest calorie biscuits there are - DP is correct

LOL at Namechanging Masterchef . That chef is bonkers. Touchy here, no here! Wishing healthy vibes to MamaSteak

DH has just brought me a glass of wine. Oh dear

steaknifethroughtheheart · 12/10/2009 20:48

He's blardy French isn't he - all bonkers them Frenchies.

Maybe that would get Mansteak in a whirl - "no feel 'ere, I said touch it 'ere"

SazZaVoom · 12/10/2009 20:49
OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 12/10/2009 20:52

Evening all

thanks Sazz
