I want to go to your house Sazz. Chez moi the car has packed up (short circuit??), the shower has packed up and I have just washed my hair in Matey... . And I have been in a grump all day.

Buckets I missed a bit I thought you weren't getting a kitchen but you are! Yay for a new kitchen!

Enjoy your night out cece, and hope you enjoyed Pilates TS.

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 19:50

Oh poor you VG . 'Tis a girly house here tonight so you are more than welcome . Sadly i fear RyanAir might not lay on a personal flight for you

I have no car as i offered to let DH drive it to Barrow. 4hrs in a Landy is quite uncomfortable. I shall be bumbling around for the next day or so being a yummy mummy in my 4x4 . Or not

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 11/10/2009 19:54

I thought they were meant to be supercomfy?

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 11/10/2009 19:57

Evening

DD in bed, OJ opened and DH playing on his new PS3 (Why does Sazzles' situation sound better?) I think I comitted a major error in buying him one, he has eaten his bacon sarnies, drunk his beer and then asked where his dinner was, too engrossed in his game to even notice. Poor DD was sujected to watching papa play whilst I had a nap

We went out to lunch this afternoon and DD was a dream eating pumkin risotto to start then roasties, parsnips, her own body wieght in broccoli and yorkshire pud with a piece of braised pork belly and a piece of black pudding. She shared everyones meals.

Buckets- YAY for new kitchen, our big clear out and the new better plan means we will have loads of space to accumulate more crap!

I am pleased this chat of mixers has come up as I need to buy a new one which has a good kneeding arm (to make sugarpaste icing) and can do everything but eat what it makes. DH kindly the=rew away my old (20+ years) kenwood which came from my mum. Any recommendations? I like the look of the magimix and kitchenaid too

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 11/10/2009 19:58

VG - sorry ot hear of your disasterous day - tomorrow can only get better! Isn't Dizz coming your way this week?

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 11/10/2009 19:59

VERY VERY BAD SPELLING - sorry

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 11/10/2009 20:05

Yes she is .

Yay!

Meanwhile, I'll meet you at Sazzles Towers in 10 mins!

I might earwig on the mixer convos, I'd like a proper one, having only the handheld thing. Do not want to risk getting one for Christmas... and I have a dept. store gift card thing to use...

Do you think Come Dine with Moi is worth watching?

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 20:06

LOL Oops, you are forgiven. At least with DH away i can;t get annoyed with him for getting engrossed in his stuff

VG we have an old Land Rover Defender. I think when they were designed it was more with utility vehicle in mind than school run

miamla · 11/10/2009 20:43

sorry DS has kindly given me his cold

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 11/10/2009 20:49

Mixers: I have a Magimix Compact 3100 which is utterly fantastic, although I can't comment on the quality of its kneading arm as have never used it (yet). It's sturdy as anything and fits neatly into our mini-kitchen.

Buckets your friend's house sounds pretty awesome. Not that I envy her the hassle of moving everything upside down, but nice to have the option.

I seem to have spent all day today washing up and yet the kitchen still looks like a bombsite

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:19

I am watching the Electic Dreams on BBC4
A family are set up at home with all 1980s technology.

Hilarious. Anyone remember being worried about microwave radiation?
Speak and spell was worth the same as £120 today. A walkman was equivalent to £3k today.
Amazing.

And they have done the decoration and clothes too. Hair is particularly funny.
Though old Cliff Richards vidos rather scary.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:20

wolfie I have the same problem. I think there are some naughty, untidy elves living under the sink.

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 21:21
SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 21:22

You given up on Emma then steaky?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 11/10/2009 21:24

was the next episode of Emma on tonight?

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:24

oh dear completely forgot about that. I only lasted through the titles of BNP Wives on Sky. Farking depressing.

Oh dear just changed channels and now the sound is out of synch with the pictures.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 11/10/2009 21:25

GRRRRRRR

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 21:25

On now No1

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 11/10/2009 21:26

aahhh I have just persuaded DH that the 5200XL is the way to go

Honey and lemon Miamla?

Steaky - am watching I had a walkman like that I was so proud of it then the dog chewed it!

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:26

The problem with Emma is that she gets the bloke without deserving him.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:27

I love the mum's hair.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 11/10/2009 21:28

Emma has been sky+'d for later I am watching telly trying to study.

Hi No1

SazZaVoom · 11/10/2009 21:29

I am on Sky+ delay as DH phoned to say he has arrived safely

Will look out for Mums hair

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 11/10/2009 21:29

Hi
grr for missing first half hour.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 11/10/2009 21:31

The best bit are the Farah Fawcett flicks at the end of the 70s bit.
