ROFL Hots - very good

have just heard that I've kept one of the shift bitches (not sure about the other one) kept one of my friends and lost the other one to another team - arse, the loss of both shift bitches would have been preferable!!

Miamla - bottom lesson taken onboard and stored for consideration soon (just not quite yet!!) glad to hear you sounding so chipper - must be all that arnica helping out

TwilightSurfer · 30/09/2009 11:36

nothing to report here.

however, i was wondering about miamla and her bed partner? not sure i'd like to share a bed with a stranger in a hospital, even if we were both having our butts done.

miamla · 30/09/2009 11:59

[dim] i don't get hots reference about dizz's parcel. if its something i would find amusing, i'd appreciate an explanation please, thank you

ooh yes, arnica, yes...off to take a tablet now! thanks dizz i'd forgotten again!

still not quite with it, asked DP to take the rubbish downstairs because of the pooey nappy but i'd not actually put the said nappy in the bag. good job he's home today to keep an eye on me. we also had a very close almost incident with DS and a fresh cup of tea. doesn't bear thinking about. DP saved situation, completely my fault

TS my bed partner was truly lovely and i've just sent her an email to tell her as much [sticks out tongue emoticon]
hmm, why isn't there a sticking out tongue emoticon? i guess it'd get used too much and the tongue would dry out

miamla · 30/09/2009 12:00

dizz at least you got rid of one of the bitches. and the remaining one might be better on her own, perhaps? if she hasn't got an ally, she might find it easier to be nice? possibly? maybe?

hotterpotter · 30/09/2009 13:04

Oh Dizzy that's really unfair . How's the café planning coming along? Do you have a likely escape route there?

LoveBuckets · 30/09/2009 13:22

Maybe it's just cos Ikea Southampton is smack in the town centre, but it's only free if you spend £30 or £50 or something. It's still v cheap for town centre parking though, esp with the free family card coffee.

Not ready to face up to my bum yet, what I suspect is that it is even more embarrassing than piles. Can't even say it to DH because it is something we have had much laughter about in previous times. Have to get past that hurdle before facing GP. And even you guys!

TwilightSurfer · 30/09/2009 13:25

For a proper nuclear reaction you must have at least three (or more) particles colliding. Dizzy your situation looks promising....for a nuclear reaction.

Miamla after more thought (and chatter with friend on fb) I'm really really liking the marble idea. SOOOOO...LADIES for those with BOYS your Tooth Fairy can bring MARBLES for each lost tooth so that he make begin a life long collection.

No such thing as over use fo smilies. makes the posts look oh so preeeeetty!

lots of bottom problesm Am i to assume that because i had 2 sections I'm unlikely to suffer, or will having pushed foryears ages with dd (unsuccessfully) mean anything? at not knowing really.

poppysocks · 30/09/2009 14:29

LOL dizzy. Glad there are ups as well as the downs . Sorry about Friday btw.

How are you today red? On the up I hope. I too have an ironing obsessed mother. She irons EVERYTHING .

So pleased op has passed and helped by nice person beside you miamla.

Good on you for complaining about the photos buckets. I bet it was an unforseen effect of a change of style, but that doesn't make the result any more acceptable. Any response from them yet?

steaky. Not sure what your work history is, but if the interview may be leading you into a new line of work and you'd like a bit of insight/hand with preparation, please give me a shout. Not precisely what I do atm but v. much the same ball-park. Perhaps dizzy or sazz could pass on my e-mail/phone no?

Major requirement for matchsticks here. Back to newborn nights as E has a really horrible mouth infection. Started with just lots of crying on Monday and then two hourly wake-ups all night, feverish and obviously in pain. Carried on yesterday and when Dr shone a light in her mouth there was a ruddy great ulcer across the whole of the underside of her tongue and ulcers all over the back of her throat . Dr reckons its a virus that wouldn't have done anything had her body not been busy dealing with the MMR. Poor lamb. Obviously in a lot of discomfort and knackered. DD1 and I are now too but that's by the by. DH meanwhile away with work and enjoying unbroken nights in a hotel .

Upside of this is that I can't go to work tomorrow so I'm now on hols as had booked next week off anyway . Not that it feels like that at the mo ... Need to sort out all the stuff I've got to leave to others now too. I must now attempt to take both girls into the office. Hoping that the revolving chair and post-it notes will provide sufficient distraction . Wish me luck ladies.

dizzydixies · 30/09/2009 14:46

lordy poppy can we not help at all? give me a call

LoveBuckets · 30/09/2009 16:26

Dizzy Keep a diary (even if it's only telling us here) of any horrors you get from shift bitches. Who knows you may even get one sacked by Christmas?

Poppy Holy cow, poor little thing and poor you.

Anything good on telly tonight? I think DH is out heavy metalling with his Black Sabbath covers band (although last week he came home laughing 'it's so not me!' so maybe he will grow a pair and walk away from it politely.)

sequinedsteaknife · 30/09/2009 16:39

Buckets tonight's tv isn't looking too promising. I will probably have BBC2 on in the background with Masterchef and Dragons Den.

Poppy I will take you up on your offer, I have to do a ten minute presentation on developing relationships between the theatre and business. My background is individual fundraising and database marketing so all things corporate are new to me. Also I worked in charities rather than arts so there is a difference there. Will FB Dizz and Sazz for your email.

Dizzy that is quite a day you had yourself. Definately keep a diary of bitchyness and how it affects you. That way should you ever want take action you can show events and dates. It will also show a cumulative effect of actions where a single action might not 'seem' bad enough.

Though you have probably thought of all this.

sequinedsteaknife · 30/09/2009 19:29

I just came up to the attic to print some documents and the skyline is a fabulous burnt red colour from the sunset. I am looking forward to getting this room sorted out so that it is easier to spend time up here.

Wotchoo all up to?

LoveBuckets · 30/09/2009 20:20

We are having some great sunsets down South this week aren't we? Keep meaning to snap one and post it on FB, we have lovely city view from our front garden of the West side of the river, sometimes even trains. OK, many might not consider it lovely, Bath it aint, but you gotta appreciate all beauty where you can find it eh?

Anyone fancy signing an Eastenders Breastfeeding petition?

If I am on here tomorrow, please nag me to phone the mortgage company. Have to get money sorted for new kitchen quick, life will be a right PITA if we don't manage to get at least half the work done over half term.

AnnVan · 30/09/2009 20:30

buckets I got a message from the group saying the petition had been banned from fb!

LoveBuckets · 30/09/2009 20:44

Yep me too, that's why I thought I'd get it on MN
