harrumph. Planning a trip to the UK July-Sept 2010 to go to some weddings, stay with my parents, leave DH at home to write his thesis.

Have just looked at flights.

Cheapest returns are all over 1000 GBP. Harrumph.

Really need to get up and make the red cabbage which didn't get cooked last night.

TwilightSurfer · 08/10/2009 00:49

LWFH that's a serious fare. Midday Wednesday is usually the cheapest tickets for the week. Maybe next week the fares will look nicer.

Reese's spots have gotten better then worse then better again and then worse. I'm taking her to see doc at 9:30am. I'm hoping he'll come out to the car to check her so I don't have to expose her to other crap. Maybe I'll get lucky and the spots will be gone by morning.

My throat is hurting a bit more this evening. Drinking some cold cranberry-grape juice that's feels wonderful going down. I'm tired too but that's probably just from worry.

Funny story...(Sazzles you can share this with MrSazzles)...DH got a speeding ticket in his sports car a few months ago. He was given the choice to pay the speeding fine OR got to court to see if it would be dismissed/lessened. "We" thought the court date was the 9th. He goes in TODAY, the 7th, at lunch, to pay the ticket and finds out there's a warrent for his arrest for not appearing in court at 8:30am. The clerk got him in with the judge after the judge had lunch so all is resolved NOW. However, for a good 3 hours today my husband was a fugitive. LOL!

See why my worry meter is off the charts. If it's not the kids, it's my husband.

I hope everyone is sleeping well.

Morning Expectant!!!

Morning TS lol at MrTS being a fugitive if only briefly although I'm sure it wasn't too funny at the time! At least the judge had had lunch might have been much worse had it been just before

DS up at 5am so half an hour improvement on yesterday. DH has big presentation as his big bosses are in from London this morning so I was on duty to let him get some extra rest - my turn for a lie in tomorrow though - yey!

DS latest trick on the not eating front is to chuck all the food off his plate hold up his empty plate to me and say gone . Part of me is quite amazed that he's worked this out but the rest of me is just infuriated that he now has a new not eating trick up his sleeve

TwilightSurfer · 08/10/2009 08:14

3am Worry-Monger Here. I can not even begin to explain the nonsense going on in my brain...my brain that should be SLEEPING.

Reese is chunking things not wanted too. She does warn me first. When I offer the food or drink she'll put her hand, say no, and shake her head. When I persist she takes whatever it is and throws it down.

TS - you okay, tell us what is happening in your head. Lord knows I have over the last few days.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 08/10/2009 08:25

Buckets I've seen the Styleshake site before, good to see it is growing and adding new designs.

I think it is a fab idea and not hideously expensive either.

DD slept 12 hours last night and is not napping now.

TS you want to be careful with who you mix with, you don't want to be arrested for harbouring a fugitive.

Ouch at that airfare LWFH.

wotcha Snot.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 08/10/2009 08:26

hello oops how goes it?

Hi Streaky - DD is not doing sleeping very well as the moment and was awake on and off every 20mins for 2 hours in the night just needing cuddles, I think it is her teeth poor thing has 3 molars and an eye tooth coming through.

LWFH - that is money for flights.

TS - I did at your DH and his fine, that sounds like something I would do.

TwilightSurfer · 08/10/2009 08:38

sorry I didn't mean to wake ya'll. My DH is awake too. Seems we've both got brain crunk issues. I've been reading him MN & FB posts. LOL

Everyone have a good day.

Morning, big fluffy cappuccinos and little almondy biccies all round.

I had a great night! Was jamming in the kitchen with DH and I wrote a song! LOL He clearly doesn't like it but tough, he will have to help me anyway. Need some help with the verse words please ladies, am using these in the meantime (might sound familiar to 70s Aussie soap fans):

He used to bring me roses
I wish he would again
But that was on the outside
And things were different then.

The chorus is about listening to my wise words but I have no idea what wise words to offer in the verses!

Anyway, then we had sex for the first time in ages and I rolled over -and-- slept like the dead til 7am.

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 08/10/2009 10:46

miamla can I have a hig instead?

Buckets I share your Prisoner love. Was mildly obsessed with in at uni, I even went to see the musical! Which was awesome, in case anyone is wondering.

Am too wine-soaked from last night to think of any words right now though, sorry. It's hard without hearing the song.

Am having a day off today, woohoo! Attempted to clean the mould off the bathroom grouting but it has resisted all efforts so now my house smells like a swimming pool for no reason Ah well, going to clean rest of bathroom anyway and then it's into town to try on wedding dresses and generally pretend to be a lady of leisure.

LoveBuckets · 08/10/2009 11:44

I saw the musical too! I made my parents come, they are good sports (they took me to see Rocky Horror in London for my 14th birthday.) The Freak Ferguson wasace of course.

TwilightSurfer · 08/10/2009 11:50

so i get up and stumble to the kitchen to make toast and oj. reese wants her oj fast so i fill her sippy cup, set the oj down, put the lid on her sippy cup and hand it to her. i then pick up the oj to fill my cup and forget that i didn't put the top back on which would be fine if i didn't have a habit of shaking the juice before i pour it. oj...in my hair, in my eyes, down my shirt, all over the floor, all over the baby on the floor, baby crying, me cussing....wonderful morning.
